This is the Conscious Breathing meditation will help you to heighten your sense of perception and achieve a sense of inner stillness. It is included in the Mindfulness-Based Program: Calm and Joy. This process is both fundamental and very subtle. If we establish contact with that subtlety, the automaticity that accompanies this process will overlap with the lucidity of our consciousness. Breathing consciously, the material and the ethereal join and remain harmonised.

While you settle on your meditation posture be fully aware of your motion feel as your position brings you closer to a greater state of receptivity emanating a feeling of beauty and solemnity start to feel your breathing and follow its natural pace focus your attention between your nostrils and the central part of your upper lip you can feel your perception sharpening on this spot of your body becoming more precise and sensitive maybe you are perceiving the touch of the air while breathing in and breathing out its temperature or other subtle perceptions that spring forth from this area enjoy the last breath focused between the nose and the upper lip now start to feel your breathing across your chest let your chest establish the rhythm and volume of your breathing while you observe the sensations that take place within experience how it expands as you inhale observe how it softly contracts while expelling the air leave your attention resting on your chest for a few breaths more savoring the sensations you are perceiving moment by moment at this time slide your attention towards your belly let yourself linger on the sensations you perceive in your belly allowing your inner nature to breathe for you you can probably sense as well how it enlarges a bit when you take air in and lessens as you expel the air out like a little balloon enjoy feeling your breathing in your abdomen for a few more seconds and let the experience fulfill you to finish be aware of your breathing globally in your nose your chest and your belly all of your body takes part in your breathing from your toes to your crown surrender to this vital flow and merge with it you have become your breathing you be aware of how you are feeling now!

Maybe you are experiencing a pure and fresh state.

Register this feeling and remember you can evoke it at any time.

Little by little open your eyes,

Integrating what you can see into this state of openness and realization.

Allow the reality that surrounds you to merge with you and your respiration.
