
Are You A "Yes" Person Or A "No" Person?

Are you a "yes" person or a "no" person? You will never guess what I am! What about you? Do you have the courage to take on the world? Let's meditate and know that the challenge is on! Together, we can do anything!

So good morning everybody and thanks for joining me for Monday meditation,
Morning,
Or it could be whatever day you're listening actually.
I always say that then I think,
Oh no what do I do?
So I have a big question for you guys today.
My question for you is,
Are you a yes person or are you a no person?
Do you know what I mean by that?
So like when someone says hey like unexpectedly,
Hey you want to go out and do this today?
What is your your your instinctual reaction to that?
Is it yes?
Oh sure yeah let's go.
Or is it no?
So I have to tell you mine is usually no.
I know you'd find that like kind of hard to believe being like the happy medium that I am you know and all that stuff but you know the reality is is that I'm kind of a no person because I'm cautious.
Like oh no I can't do that and then I have to think it through and then things work out.
Isn't that crazy?
Right so I like I said I think it has to do with me being cautious right and honestly that's my mom.
I get that from my mom.
Love her and all.
Love you mom.
But you know so but so anyway the reason why I'm bringing this up is because I was with some friends this weekend.
Socially distancing of course because we always have to social distance right and I realized that I've been playing small and cautious.
Playing my life.
I've been playing my life small and cautious and you know what I'm the type of person where I don't like to ask people for stuff and I don't I like to play like I don't like to create waves like I never want anybody to feel uncomfortable when they're around me that's like who I am right.
So today I've decided I'm going to play full out and I am going to be a yes person today.
Yes person.
I am going to say yes when somebody says something oh no now I've put that out into the universe.
Put that out there into the universe and I'm gonna be a yes person right.
So would you like to take that on with me?

Becoming a yes person or or even just like playing full out whatever that means to you right.
You know okay so here's me playing full out.
I do these meditations every day every weekday and and I put them online and I hope people listen and are able to learn to create their practice and know that they can do this every day and it's I keep it short so that we can so that I can teach you how to have a steady practice every day right.
So me playing full out is why don't you invite somebody to do this with you or invite somebody to watch it.
That's me playing full out because I am really uncomfortable saying can you ask somebody to to can you show people tell people about about this you know whatever however it is you're listening to it live podcast whatever.
It's really uncomfortable for me but I'm taking that on.
I'm taking that on so there you go.
Now that's me that's my thing.

What is one thing that you can do to play full out in your life and only you can answer that right.
Only you can answer that.
What is one thing that you can do to play full out?
It's kind of exciting.
It's the idea of the idea of playing full out and being a yes person is invigorating and exciting but it's also scary right.
We you know we put ourselves out there.
So I really appreciate all you guys so so much.

Let's get ourselves situated so that we can start our meditation.
Let's get ourselves comfortable.
Get ourselves comfortable and if you like a blanket or anything that makes you comfortable to sit.
To sit in that space where it's just you feel relaxed.
It could be a chair,
It could be laying down,
Could be anything.
Gently allow your eyes to go closed.
Perfect.
Now let's take a nice long very slow deep breath in through your nose.
Really slow.
All the air into your lungs and let it out.
Perfect.
Now let's do that again.
Nice long slow deep breath in and exhale.
Perfect.
Now let's begin as we get settled down.
Let's start our time off and thinking about three things that we are grateful for.
What can we say?
Three things that we are grateful for today.
It could be that you had a great Father's Day with your family.
It could be that you actually woke up and in time to do this meditation.
What are you grateful for today?
My next question is what is one thing that you like about yourself?
One thing that you really appreciate about yourself?
I'll just go.
I really like that I am an empath.
I really like that I take on the emotions of the people around me and I understand them because it helps me understand people better.
I love that about myself.
So as we get ready to sit in the silence and stillness for just a few minutes this morning,
Our mantra today is yes.
So as we sit in the silence and stillness we're going to repeat the word yes.
Yes to ourselves,
Yes to the universe,
Yes to God,
Just yes.
If you get yourself in a place where you forget the mantra or you get sidetracked with your thoughts that's okay just gently bring yourself back to yes.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
