Namaste!

Welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.

How are you today?

Our question for today is,

How do you access your joy in your life?

How do you access the joy?

That's a good question,

Right?

Where is the joy?

Is it just,

Does it just come to you in waves occasionally?

Or do you find yourself having to sort of access it?

It's a really good question because in my brain,

I know that joy is within at all times.

Joy is within me at all times.

It's within all of us at all times.

But the key is to access it.

It's there,

Right?

So anyway,

So I was actually,

It's,

You know,

There are no accidents,

Right?

Spirit just knows,

Right?

So I was kind of contemplating this yesterday because I was thinking,

I saw something written about joy,

But then I saw a teaching by Paramahansa Yogananda and I want to read this because it's so amazing and it's so perfect for what the,

For the idea of accessing joy,

Your joy,

Your own personal joy,

Right?

Okay,

So this is what he says,

Joy expresses itself under certain conditions,

But it is not created by those conditions.

Thus when someone receives a thousand dollars and exclaims,

Oh,

How happy I am,

The condition of having received a thousand dollars has merely served as a pickaxe,

Releasing a fountain of joy from the hidden reservoir of bliss within.

Oh,

I love that.

So he continues,

So in human experience,

Certain events are usually required to bring forth joy,

But the joy itself is the perennial native state of the soul.

When you sit in the silence of deep meditation,

Joy bubbles up from within,

Roused by no outer stimulus.

The joy of meditation is overwhelming.

That just says everything.

I mean,

Really,

You don't even really need to say anything else to be honest,

Because that's like the joy,

Our joy is within.

Do we really need a pickaxe to make a hole and then have the joy sprout out?

Sometimes we do.

I really think that sometimes we do,

But meditation serves as that constant pickaxe,

Dare I say it like that,

But you know,

The Yogananda was so smart.

The Yogananda was so smart,

Obviously.

And that just,

When he says,

When you sit in the silence of deep meditation,

Joy bubbles up from within.

We have access to this,

You guys.

Our joy is there.

We have access to that joy whenever we choose.

Meditation is that bridge,

Is that joy.

Or I should say,

Is that vehicle.

It's just amazing to me,

Right?

And so our mantra for today is going to just,

You know,

It just ties right in with this.

I love how he ends with,

The joy of meditation is overwhelming.

So let's get ourselves situated where we can meditate together.

In that,

We are going to bring about the joy.

We're gonna raise our vibration.

That's really what it is.

It's accessing our vibrational being and raising it through meditation.

So let's get ourselves comfortable because we're gonna have a deep,

Great meditation today.

I can just feel it.

Okay,

So let's close our eyes really gently.

Get yourself comfortable because as davidji always says,

Comfort is queen,

Right?

So close your eyes.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release it very gently.

That is our intention for the day.

Our intention for this meditation,

To access our joy.

Absolutely beautiful.

Before we get into the stillness of our meditation,

Let's think for just a minute.

What are you grateful for in your life?

Let's go with three things today.

What are three things that you are absolutely so grateful for that you could cry?

That will help us raise our vibration first of all,

Right?

Are you grateful for the love in your life?

Are you grateful that you had a really good night's sleep?

What are you grateful for?

So as we get ready to sit in the stillness,

For just a few minutes,

Our mantra for today.

Sat,

Chit,

Ananda.

Sat,

Chit,

Ananda.

Truth,

Consciousness,

Bliss.

Sat,

Chit,

Ananda.

So what I'd like for us to do is repeat the mantra.

However,

If you find yourself starting to really still deep within,

You can release the mantra and just concentrate on your breath.

Sat,

Chit,

Ananda.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

Sat,

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies and feel the joy that has been bubbling up perhaps to the point where you feel emotional.

Just take a nice deep breath in really slow and release it very gently.

You can open your eyes whenever you feel comfortable.

I was so emotional that entire meditation.

I hope you guys feel that joy bubbling up because it's there.

All we need to do is sit in the stillness to access it.

Thank you so much for joining today.

I hope that throughout the rest of your day that you carry this joy that you've accessed.

I hope you can carry it with you the rest of the day.

From my heart to yours,

Namaste.

Thank you for joining today.

I like her earthy, friendly attitude. It is more of a friend sharing, than someone leading, which is refreshing at times
