Hello and welcome.
My name is Jen.
This meditation is designed to support you during times of transition and transformation.
It's an ideal practice to do during the solstice when it's time to let go of old patterns and welcome in new elevated ways of seeing and interacting with the world.
I invite you to do this meditation lying down or in any position that's extremely comfortable for your body today.
So take some time to get comfortable.
Snuggle your shoulders underneath you.
Allow the chest to open.
Allow the hips to be heavy.
The legs and arms to be heavy,
Just sinking down.
Soften through the shoulders.
Soften through the neck.
Release and relax through the cheeks.
Soften through the eyelids and the forehead.
And bring all your attention to the top of your head,
The crown chakra.
And just allow a wave of relaxation to move through your body,
Entering through this crown chakra,
Moving throughout your body,
Slowly swirling around,
Reaching all the way down to your toes.
Just allow this energy,
This relaxation,
This lightness to overcome your body.
Allow your breath to just be normal and take a moment to notice the cadence of your natural breath,
The inhales and exhales,
Lifting and releasing your belly,
Moving to the natural rhythm of your body.
During times of transition,
We have an opportunity to self-assess,
To begin again.
So in this relaxed state,
Take a moment to simply allow any stress,
Any worrisome energy,
Any recurring thoughts that have been burdening you,
And just allow them to surface as though they were surfacing to the top of the water.
You can see them and allow them to be carried away.
Notice anything that comes up for you,
Any patterns that you're not proud of,
Any sense of helplessness or recurrent worry.
Just notice these things surfacing,
Watch them,
Allow them to be,
And then allow them to release off,
To be carried away as though by a current.
Continue to allow any burdensome thoughts to just rise to the surface of your mind and be carried away.
Imagine the sense of a current,
This cool water moving throughout your body,
Allowing you to release,
Allowing you to let go,
Carrying away anything that no longer serves you so that you can welcome in the new.
Feeling this water energy cleansing,
Feeling,
Continue to just breathe normal,
Allowing your body to be heavy,
Allowing the flow to work through your body and carry away all the old.
Now begin to deepen the breath consciously,
Inhaling through the nose deeply,
Exhaling slowly,
Inhaling,
Filling your belly completely and exhaling.
Continue on like that,
Breathing slow,
Heavy and deep.
And as you inhale,
Imagine that you're bringing in a new perspective on life.
Bring in a new appreciation for where you are,
For who you are,
For what surrounds you.
With each inhale,
Allow your mind to focus on anything you'd like to bring in,
In this next stage of your life,
This next part of the journey.
As you exhale,
Honor where you've been,
What you've been through.
Inhale,
Allow the new,
Allow the elevation,
Exhale,
Release.
Each inhale,
Your belly expands completely,
Your body takes in this new energy,
This new drive,
This new perspective and each exhale you release,
Release,
Release,
Honor,
Honor,
Honor.
Your body is relaxed,
Your breath is deep and steady.
You allow this transition to be a transformation.
Now take one more deep breath in,
Filling the belly as much as you can.
Hold,
Holding this breath,
Allowing the breath to move through the body as you hold it,
Allowing this new energy to fill your body and when you need to,
Let go through the mouth.
Two more times like that,
Inhale deep,
Fill the body with air,
Hold,
Hold,
Hold,
Absorb,
Absorb,
Absorb and then when you need to release,
Release through the mouth.
Last time,
Make it as big and expansive as you can,
Holding the breath,
Expanding the lungs and then exhale.
Allow your breath to go back to its normal cadence,
Honor this cadence,
Honor your body,
Your journey,
The time you've taken to set this demarcation,
To move forward.
Now I invite you to either take this beautiful journey to your resting,
Your sleep,
Allowing your consciousness to fade away as my words stop or you can slowly introduce gentle movement into the body,
Getting up,
Stretching,
Slowly coming to stand,
Reaching your arms up overhead,
Reaching up to the sky and going on about your day.
