Our bodies have energy fields and held-in emotions play a huge role in our health as well as our attitudes. Trapped emotions can cause all kinds of physical illness and emotional/spiritual turmoil. Use this guided meditation to let go of emotional burdens, prompting the body to release and heal.

Transcript

Welcome to Letting Go to Heal.

Our bodies consist of an energy field.

One of your biggest energy sources is your emotions.

If you've listened to my meditations before,

You'll know I talk a lot about the vibrational frequency of emotions.

When this vibrational energy isn't released appropriately,

It gets trapped in the body.

And even modern medicine is now acknowledging and proving that held-in emotions find places to hide in the body.

We're now discovering this trapped energy causes illnesses.

Chronic conditions,

Cancer,

Diseases.

Of course,

This is not the cause of every illness.

But Eastern medicine has had their finger on the pulse of this for centuries.

That's why we talk about balancing our chi or using the body's meridians and acupuncture or balancing the emotional and body systems in Ayurvedic medicine.

I encourage you to research all of this.

And if you've landed on a meditation called Letting Go to Heal,

I presume there is something you need to release.

And in your body's infinite wisdom,

It has led you here.

And I'm so glad for that.

Let's settle in now with three deep breaths.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Breath number two.

Inhale.

And exhale.

And one more deep breath.

Inhale.

And release.

As you return to your normal breath,

Look into your third eye.

Stay here for a moment and try to release your mind from its obligations,

From its obsessions,

From any racing thoughts.

Let your consciousness float outside of your body for a moment as you empty your mind completely.

In this moment,

Your body is just a shell as your essence is all around you.

Stay here for a moment,

Basking in the release of any burdens that were overtaking your conscious mind and making it heavy.

Stay here with your mind as light as a feather.

Now we're going to come back to our thoughts.

Actually bring back those heavy thoughts.

Bring to the front of your mind a heavy worry,

A hurt,

A burden.

Maybe it's an unforgiveness,

A fear,

Sadness,

Anxiety,

Anger,

Disappointment.

Whatever you want to focus on,

It is best to focus very clearly and specifically on one item for this exercise.

If you have several items to release,

Do this meditation once daily,

Focusing on a new item each time.

For now,

Find the item that feels heaviest and most pressing to you.

Now bring that to the front of your mind.

I want you to find the emotion that's attached to this item.

Do not focus on words that were spoken or unfavorable outcomes that took place.

Don't focus on a person or a place or a thing.

Find the emotion you're holding on to.

Now allow yourself to really feel that negative emotion.

Feel it deeply.

Notice the tension or stress in your body right now.

This is the physical manifestation of your trapped emotional energy.

It's okay.

Allow yourself to own it.

If you need to release,

Let out a sigh or a scream or a tear.

If your body prompts you to experience some sort of release,

Listen to your body and let it go.

Now hold on to that emotion with your conscious mind as you bring your focus back to your third eye.

We are now going to release this emotion into the universe with your focus on your third eye and your consciousness on this heavy emotion.

Repeat after me.

I let go of emotions that do not serve me.

I release my pain into the universe.

I love myself.

I seek freedom from these chains.

I am letting go of this burden for good.

I invite healing and love into my being right now.

I invite healing and love into my being every day.

I love myself.

I am letting go of this burden for good.

We're going to take a deep breath on my mark,

Hold it in for three,

And when you release it,

Forcefully exhale all of your held emotion from your body.

We will do this three times.

With each breath,

Visualize this emotion being forcefully pushed away from you,

Out with your breath and floating away on a soft breeze.

Once you release it,

It does not come back to you.

It's gone from your body and your mind and released into the universe forever.

Here is breath one.

Inhale.

One,

Two,

Three,

Release.

Push the breath out.

Breath number two.

Inhale.

One,

Two,

Three.

Exhale your emotions.

Number three.

Inhale.

Hold.

Two,

Three.

And empty everything out.

Empty everything we've been holding on to for these last few minutes.

If you need one or two more breaths to completely empty out the emotion,

Take them now.

If you feel you have released everything,

Return to your normal breathing.

Now let's go back to that place where we were at the beginning of this meditation.

Hopefully your mind is totally clear and feels lighter now.

Focus on your third eye.

Let your consciousness float outside of your body here.

Stay here with your mind as light as a feather,

Basking in the release you've just experienced.

I'm going to leave you here for a few minutes and I'll sound a chime at the end of your quiet time.

Surprisingly powerful, thank you Alicia. I felt immense tension and discomfort in my solar plexus spontaneously shift, and gained a strong sense that this relates to some of my recent physical ailments. Also for some reason this meditation was the first in a long time that I have managed to have complete and total focused awareness on. V interesting.... Will be returning to this for sure.
