Wondering how many people in the world have sleep problems? A shocking number of between 20 and 30% of all working adults have more or less serious problems with sleeping. In some countries it is even higher. But knowing the cause does not give us a real direction of how to solve these problems, right? Let us look at some of the causes of our problems, and then move to solutions.

Wondering how many people in the world have sleep problems?
It is a shocking number of between 20 and 30 persons of all working adults have one more or less serious problems with sleeping.
In some countries it is even higher.
What are the causes of these problems?
Just let me start by naming a few so you will understand where you are.
One of the major problems is relationship.
The second is work related stress.
Number three,
Career related problems.
An important one is finance.
Yes family and friends.
Of course there are many more.
These are just only a grip of the mountain of possibilities.
But knowing the cause does not give us the real direction on how to solve these problems,
Right?
Let us look at some starters of your problems and then move to solutions.
Number one is stress.
It's caused by many things and show up in our thoughts,
Tension of the muscles,
Irregular heart beats and bad appetite.
Number two,
Fear and anxiety.
It can have natural reason such as experience,
Sometimes trauma or it can be chemically induced.
Number three,
Disease can be very strong promoter of insomnia.
Number four,
Bad habits such as watching TV,
Mobile or reading too late.
Number five,
Low quality of sleeping place.
Number six,
Different kinds of food and liquids.
After this review of the many reasons of having sleep problems,
We should be able to solve them fast and get back to sleep right away.
I wish it was that easy,
But we only got a step further on the road of the solution.
The first and most easy thing to do is to look at the place where we sleep.
Like the bedroom and the bed.
Can you make the sleeping room dark enough?
Is it quiet enough?
Is there a good smell and can you feel safe inside it?
Is the sleeping place of good quality?
A sleeping place doesn't need to be a Western bath,
But can be anything from a hang mat to a wooden floor panels.
It's all a personal choice or possibility.
If these are all right and you are satisfied on all these points,
You can move to the next topic.
If there are things you can and need to change,
Start here and solve these problems first.
Only after that,
You move on.
The location of the bedroom,
The position of the bed in the room and the person who is sleeping next to you are all important influencers for a good sleep.
A more secret part that can influence good sleep are the activities that take place in the bed with or without the partner.
Most people do not consider smell,
Airflow,
Humidity or temperature important for the sleep,
But they are serious partners for a good rest.
All these factors are highly individual and finding a partner with the same likes is not easy.
There is also a difference between male and female in these,
Especially during periods on the female side,
And all is changing during aging.
Age is also an important influencer which needs to be taken into consideration,
Especially relating to temperature and airflow.
During the night most people have to visit the toilet and that can be a disturbance for the partner and for the individual self.
This can be solved by having buckets or other things nearby to avoid long walks and cold feeds or other problems.
You can see that realizing the position of your bedroom in solving this problem is important and can be of great help to most people.
Stress comes with thoughts,
Muscle tension and blood stream problems.
Thoughts are the foundation of the process.
When you control your thinking you are able to control the rest,
But that's easier said than done.
Music,
Mantras,
Humming or singing or even playing simple music instruments can help to change the topic of the mind,
Create new focus.
Our first step is to realize we have two ways to go,
The past and the female.
Both are directions,
One we went by and can never be changed or returned and one that is uncertain and never will be sure until it becomes past time.
We only can influence here and now,
The current time,
This very moment,
All these sounds are made to get you in the moment.
Start to be there in your here and now and just nowhere else.
The moment makes you realize that the whole world can be in crisis,
But you,
As an individual,
Have no way to make a change,
No way to even alter the course of events.
Nature is all in control and the politics will follow an unpredictable path.
Realize that you do not have to control something like the music as a sound and you can play the sound which is there also when you do not play it.
Sound is always there,
You play it or not,
Listen to it or not,
It's there and will stay there.
The sound of music is stronger than the human voice or thoughts.
Try to find your tone,
Your sound,
Your vibration and start using it daily,
Not just only at night but also during the day,
A sound that you can produce by yourself,
Not just a song but a solid sound of humming,
Whistling or any way you can produce it with attention.
Keep in mind that this tone is always individual and that it may be different of your partner.
Stress,
Worries,
Fears,
Anxiety all come from the same thoughts,
Thoughts that run out of control,
Your thoughts are not reality,
You cannot touch them,
Not catch them and even hunt them as they all flow when you want to address them directly.
Financial troubles can be really realistic,
Your relationship can be a mess,
Your sex life a disaster and the rats really ruining your house.
These are all concrete touchable things that become thoughts of yourself and slowly slip out of your control,
They seem to start living their own life.
Thoughts are only get powerful when you believe in them,
Not when you criticize them or don't trust them.
Believe is what it says,
Believe and not a fact.
And when the fact is a financial crisis your thoughts may give you the idea that it is your mistakes,
You can control it or even that you are able to solve it all.
Thoughts run three ways only,
Positive,
Negative or neutral,
Building and constructing,
Destroying and observing,
Only three ways.
Take all your thoughts and put them in one of these three boxes,
If possible write them down or use the function of voice control and recording on your mobile,
Make them clear,
Give them a face,
A position,
Each one that seriously worries you need that,
Your specific attention.
When that is done,
Slice them one by one with surgical precision,
Cut them in pieces and again place them in each of those three boxes.
You find that even the most negative thought has a positive side and the best positive one has negative elements.
These imply that nothing is only possible or negative and that the reality is never in full control of anyone or anything.
Every thought is temporary element of time and stay only if you feed it energy.
This energy is supplied by you to give it attention,
The more attention the longer it will stay and bothers you.
The last topic of this podcast is about products that influence your sleep.
Alcohol,
Smoking,
Drugs or medication often influence your sleep more than you expect.
The main reason is that they alter your natural chemistry in your belly,
Yeah,
Your second brain.
Only some,
Very some,
Will alter the brain chemistry.
There is where it all starts,
Not in your head but in your belly,
Messing with your digestive system upset the rest of your body and mind.
Controlling this part of your body is a need to get a good sleep.
It is impossible for me to influence you from this distance but let me give you some tips on use of all these intakes.
Alcohol makes some people sleep more but most will be disturbed by it as it has influence on your blood and hormones.
Use of alcohol in late nights will always lead to a light,
Very light and negative quality of sleep.
Sleeping in general leads to a light sleep,
Lack of REM factor and an overactive brain.
Drugs can help some people to sleep but most will have an altered sleep level which ends in a low quality of sleep and often a reduced sleep time.
Sleeping does the same as drugs but can even make it worse if it influences the hormone system a lot.
Addressing these topics is a matter of specialism and medical help which must be done locally under the guidance of an expert.
