Welcome.

As you begin to get settled in your space,

Find an easy seated pose or maybe lower onto your back.

Take a deep breath in.

And a long exhale out.

Notice any tension you may be feeling in your face.

Softening your jaw.

Lowering your tongue from the roof of the mouth.

Softening around your eyebrows,

Your third eye space.

Your cheekbones.

And invite another breath in.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Today's meditation is based on impatience.

Restlessness.

The feeling of always needing to be somewhere else.

We're never satisfied with the present moment.

Always wanting more.

The fear of being alone with your thoughts.

The fixation of moving forward or moving on.

And as you hear these words,

I invite you to find this place on your body where it activates just the mere mention of the word impatience.

Restlessness.

Moving forward.

Moving on.

Wanting more.

Where do you feel this in your body?

Inhale.

We are addicted to moving forward,

Moving on.

The next place to be.

The next date on our calendar.

What is harder for us is sitting with what is.

What is in our present moment.

But instead of feeling judgment around the word impatience and how you interact with it,

Let's instead ask ourselves some mindful questions.

Questions like,

Where are you eager to be?

What are you eager to see?

What is it that you're wanting so terribly?

That you're rushing towards?

Could it be that you're so distracted by obligations?

Or going at such a fast pace that you haven't been able to see that answer clearly in front of you?

Maybe you're running from your thoughts,

From something specific,

Someone.

And you're distracting yourself with your endless activities.

Take a deep breath in.

And a long exhale out.

Inhale.

Come back into your body.

Come back to these questions without judgment.

Instead,

Just noticing what thoughts arrive,

What answers may be within.

And it's okay if you still feel judgment.

But notice that you set this time aside for yourself.

To bring awareness to your breath.

To your body.

To your mind.

To your heart.

Bring awareness to your breath.

To your body.

Time to go inward.

To slow down.

And no matter what impatience you may be feeling,

You are here.

And being with your breath,

Being in your body,

Is where change begins.

Instead of rushing towards what you feel might be change or something new,

Be an inquiry of what change you desire.

And be in your thoughts.

Can you slow down your thoughts to answer the questions that lie within?

And be in your thoughts.

Where is this restlessness coming from?

What is it that you truly desire?

And if these are questions you maybe don't allow yourself to ask,

Allow this meditation to be a way for you to ask yourself what is it that you truly desire?

What is it that you truly desire?

What is it that you truly desire?

And if these are questions you maybe don't allow yourself to ask,

Allow this meditation to be an invitation to always go towards what you desire at your own pace,

Mindfully,

With what you truly,

Authentically want and believe.

Take three last deep breaths for yourself.

Namaste.
