Welcome back!
Today I'll share with you the three branches planning method.
A simple yet effective technique to cultivate clarity in your creative vision so you can forge a sustainable path forward to take action.
For this practice you'll need a piece of paper and something to write with.
You may wish to pause this audio or you gather your writing materials.
Begin by taking three deep breaths,
Allowing your shoulders to relax and your mind to clear.
As you allow yourself to arrive,
Begin to draw a simple tree trunk in the center of your paper.
This trunk represents your core creative project or goal.
At the top of this trunk I'd like you to write down your creative vision in one clear sentence.
What is the essence of what you're trying to create?
Don't worry about making it perfect.
Allow yourself to capture the heart of your intention.
Now from this trunk we'll draw three main branches.
Each branch represents a key component of your project.
The first branch is purpose.
What does this project mean to you?
Why does it matter?
From this branch,
On smaller twigs branching off,
Also write down why this project calls to you.
What value it brings to your life.
What value it might bring to others.
The second branch is process.
The practical steps needed to bring your vision to life.
From this main branch,
On its smaller twigs,
Write down what skills you need to use or develop to bring your vision to life.
What resources you'll need to gather.
And what concrete actions will move you forward.
The third branch is timeline.
How your project will unfold over time.
On the twigs of this branch,
Write down your first small step.
Something you can do today or even right now after you finish listening to this audio.
Two to three milestone moments or steps.
And a flexible target for completion.
As you complete your tree,
Notice if any areas feel particularly clear or especially challenging.
This awareness itself is valuable information.
This three branches method helps transform vague creative impulses into a clear vision with actionable steps.
I recommend you to keep your tree visible where you do your creative work.
And begin each session by reviewing your purpose branch.
When you feel stuck,
Focus on just one small twig,
One manageable action.
And remember that trees grow slowly,
Honouring your own natural pace of growth.
Your homework is to create your three branches tree for a current creative project.
And then take that first small step you've identified today.
Notice how having clarity affects your creative energy and motivation.
Thank you for joining me today.
