Welcome to this practice on the six healing sounds.
Liu Zi Jue,
The six healing sounds,
Are a series of ancient Daoist practices taught by many Qigong masters over the centuries.
These six healing sounds,
Which are primary pre-language vocal expressions,
Are like mantras that stimulate your vital organs so that each organ can vent and cleanse itself,
Cooling itself down and ridding itself of toxins.
These are the six healing sounds respectively.
Xu,
He,
Hu,
Zi,
Cui,
Xi.
Now let's practice them together and at the end of the practice I'll share more about them.
Allow yourself to sit at the edge of a chair comfortably.
Let your feet come hip-width apart and allow them to connect with the floor underneath you.
Exhale to relax your shoulders down and inhale to grow the back of your head up towards the sky.
Relax your jaw and let your tongue rest naturally inside of your mouth.
Allow your eyes to stay open if that feels good for you.
If you prefer to keep your eyes closed,
Draw your awareness inwards.
You can let your palms rest on your thighs,
Palms facing up,
But soften your palms and all ten of your fingers.
For each healing sound we will repeat it five times.

The liver and gallbladder organs and meridian channels associated with springtime,

Now gently let go of this technique.
Notice any lingering vibrations,
Any tingling,
Buzzing sensations within and around your body.
Notice how it feels at this moment and notice the quality and texture of your breath.
The six healing sounds are vocal tones that vibrate through the body,
Each in a unique frequency that activates one of the five elements and its related organs.
So when we've been using these specific sounds,
We've been accessing each of these organs.
For maximum benefits,
You can practice this technique at least two to three times a week.
And if you have time,
You are welcome to do this practice daily in preparation or in combination with your meditation or self-care practice.
I hope you enjoy this practice.
