Welcome back.

Today we'll explore a simple yet powerful ritual called the full moon earthing practice to help you ground and balance the heightened energies that come with the full moon.

For this practice we'll need to find a spot outside where you can safely walk barefoot on the ground.

This might be on the grass,

Sand,

Soil or even moss.

If going outdoors isn't possible right now you may wish to adapt this practice by standing barefoot on the floor near a window where you can see or sense the moon's energy.

I invite you to take a moment now to remove your shoes and socks and place your bare feet directly on the earth beneath you.

Feel the immediate sensation of contact.

This might be coolness or warmth,

Softness or firmness,

Moisture or dryness.

Whatever you feel,

Acknowledge these sensations without judgment.

As you acknowledge these sensations,

Take three deep conscious breaths,

Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling fully through your mouth.

Inhaling,

Expanding your lungs fully and exhaling,

Releasing any tension.

One more deep breath in.

And a long breath out,

Letting your shoulders drop and your body soften.

As you stand under the full moon's glow,

Begin to walk slowly and mindfully.

With each step,

Bringing your full awareness to the sensation of the earth against your skin.

Notice the textures,

Temperatures and subtle movements beneath your feet.

Feel how the earth supports you completely,

Holding your weight without effort.

With each step,

Imagining roots extending from the soles of your feet,

Growing down into the soil below.

These roots anchor you,

Connecting you deeply to the earth's stable,

Nurturing energy.

As you continue walking slowly and mindfully,

Visualize any excess energy.

This might be mental chatter,

Emotional intensity or nervous system activation,

Flowing down through these roots into the earth,

Where it can be neutralized and transformed.

At the same time,

Draw up the earth's grounding energy through these same roots.

Feel the stabilizing energy rising through your feet,

Ankles,

Calves and up through your entire body,

Creating a perfect circuit of energy exchange.

With each breath and each step,

You're discharging what no longer serves you and receiving exactly what you need.

The earth has an electromagnetic field that helps regulate our own bioelectrical systems.

As you walk,

Your body is literally exchanging electrons with the earth,

Reducing inflammation,

Balancing your nervous system and restoring natural rhythms that support restful sleep,

Even during this full moon period.

Continue walking mindfully for a few more moments,

Feeling this direct connection with the earth beneath the watchful eye of the full moon above.

Now,

Find a place to stand still.

Feel your feet firmly planted on the earth.

Inhale to lift and spread all 10 of your toes wide.

And as you exhale,

Gently release and let them press down on the earth.

Feel fully supported and rooted to the earth.

Sense the stability and presence from deep within you.

With every inhale,

Allow the full moon's illumination to pour down on you.

With every exhale,

Let that light be grounded and rooted through your connection with the earth.

Inhaling,

Receiving the full moon's light.

And exhaling,

Letting that light be channeled in a meaningful and balanced way through you.

One more deep inhale,

Receiving all that the full moon is offering you.

And with your next exhale,

Gently let that be connected and balanced by the earth's soil underneath you.

As we complete this earthing practice,

Carry this grounded feeling with you.
