Welcome back.

Today we'll be exploring the transformative practice of journaling during the full moon,

Followed by a guided release ritual that combines writing with intentional letting go.

Before we begin our practice,

I invite you to take a few moments to gather your materials.

You might prepare a journal or sheets of paper,

Your favorite pen or writing material,

A candle which might be white or silver,

Which is traditional for full moon work or in any color that you enjoy,

A heat safe bowl or container,

Some matches or a lighter and you may also enjoy a crystal like clear quartz or moonstone to support clarity.

Find a comfortable space where you won't be disturbed for the next 30 minutes.

If possible,

Position yourself where you can see the moon or at least be aware of its presence.

Light your candle,

Taking a moment to set an intention for this practice.

Perhaps your intention is for clarity,

Honest self-reflection or the courage to release what no longer serves you.

Take three deep breaths to center yourself and with each exhale feel yourself becoming more present and receptive.

Now we'll move through a series of journaling prompts designed specifically for full moon reflection and release.

I'll share each prompt and offer you a few moments to write.

At any point of time,

If you need more time with the prompt,

You can always pause the audio and press play when you are ready to continue.

Don't worry about perfect sentences or grammar.

Allow your thoughts to flow freely without censorship or judgment.

Our first prompt,

What has come to fruition or completion in my life?

Since the last full moon.

Take a few moments to reflect on what has manifested or concluded in your life recently.

These might be projects,

Relationships,

Insights or personal growth.

The full moon illuminates what has reached its peak or natural conclusion.

Our second prompt is,

What am I now seeing clearly that was previously hidden from my awareness?

The full moon illuminates shadow aspects,

Things we haven't been ready or willing to see.

The truth is now becoming undeniable.

What patterns can you now recognize?

What clarity are you gaining about yourself or your circumstances?

Our third prompt,

What emotions have been building within me that are ready for expression and release?

Full moons often bring emotional culmination.

What feelings have been accumulating that need acknowledgement and release?

Remember that all emotions are valid passengers.

There are no bad emotions,

Only those we've learned to suppress or judge.

The fourth prompt,

What specific beliefs,

Patterns or attachments am I ready to release under this full moon?

Consider what you've outgrown,

What's draining your energy or what's blocking your forward movement.

These might be limiting beliefs about yourself,

Unhealthy relationship patterns,

Attachments to specific outcomes or habits that no longer serve your highest good.

And our final prompt,

What space am I creating through this release and what would I like to invite into this space?

Nature abhors a vacuum.

When we release something,

We create space for something new.

What qualities,

Experiences or energies would you like to welcome into the space you're creating through your release work?

Now,

When you feel ready to move on to the next segment of this ritual,

Take a moment to read what you've written,

Underlining or circling what feels most significant,

The core of what you're ready to release.

On a separate sheet of paper,

Write a clear,

Concise statement of release.

Begin with,

I now release,

And name specifically what you're letting go of.

Make this statement as concrete and personal as possible.

We'll now move into our release ritual.

This ritual uses the transformative power of fire,

Aligned with the full moon's fire element energy,

To physically and symbolically release what you've identified.

Hold your release statement in your hands.

You may wish to read it aloud or silently,

Acknowledging the role this belief,

Pattern or attachment has played in your life.

You might even thank it for ways it may have protected or served you in the past,

While recognizing it's now time to move forward without it.

When you feel ready,

Carefully light one corner of your paper from your candle flame.

Hold the paper over your heat safe bowl,

Allowing it to burn as completely as possible.

As the paper burns,

Visualize the energy of what you're releasing,

Transforming into light,

Returning to pure potential,

Rather than being destroyed.

Watch the ashes settle in your bowl.

Notice how you feel.

This might be a sense of lightness,

Relief,

Or even tenderness.

These are all natural responses to release work.

Place your hands over your heart,

Acknowledging your courage in this practice.

Releasing what's familiar,

Even when it no longer serves you,

Requires bravery and trust in the unfolding process of growth.

Now,

Turn your attention to the space you've created through this release.

Visualize it as a cleared field,

Fertile and ready for new growth.

What qualities would you like to plant in this field?

This might be creativity,

Trust,

Love or joy.

Visualize these qualities taking root in the newly available space within you.

To complete your practice,

I invite you now to write a brief statement of intention in your journal,

Beginning with,

I now welcome.

This positive intention complements your release work,

Directing your energy towards what you're creating.

Then,

Take a moment to express gladness and gratitude to yourself for this practice,

This release ritual.

Send gladness and gratitude to the full moon for its illuminating presence and to the continuous cycle of growth that includes both release and renewal.

When you're ready,

Extinguish your candle,

Keeping your journal nearby to record any insights that arise in the waves.

You might notice continued clarity or unexpected shifts as your release work integrates.

The ashes from your release ritual can be scattered in your garden,

At the base of a tree or in flowing water as a final act of letting go.

Or if you prefer,

You can keep them in your bowl until the next new moon before returning them to the earth,

Symbolizing the completion of an entire lunar cycle.

Thank you for joining me for this full moon journaling and release practice.
