Welcome back.

In our last exploration,

I introduced you to the fire element and its power to embody you,

To step into your true power and confidence,

So you can flourish and express yourself fully to the world.

The true power of the fire element,

Of your inner power and confidence,

Can be accessed only through the process of allowing.

This is different from doing or forcing something to happen.

Through the process of allowing,

You allow what is already present to emerge,

Rather than artificially manifesting something that isn't already there.

Today we embark on an exploration to embody and harness the energy of the fire element through a lying down meditation that induces involuntary shaking.

By experiencing and allowing it to unfold,

You release tension and melt away anxiety,

So you can allow your inner power and confidence to emerge.

I first tried this shaking meditation through my teacher,

Mario Santoni,

And later discovered that this exploration is inspired by the work of Dr.

David Bocelli,

An international expert in the area of trauma intervention and conflict resolution.

Dr.

Bocelli has taught his exercises that activate the tremoring response to over one and a half million people all around the world.

What he has found is that shaking therapies are present in all cultures.

For today's exploration,

You'll need a supportive surface,

Such as a yoga mat,

To lie down on.

Before you start,

Make sure you have sufficient space around you,

At least about one arm's distance away from you after you lie down later on.

It's important to note that emotions are often released during this shaking practice.

At any point of time,

If the emotions or sensations are too overwhelming,

Know that you can stop the shaking any time by gently and slowly straightening your legs.

Start by lying comfortably on your back,

With your knees bent and your feet about hip distance apart,

Touching the yoga mat underneath you.

Keep your arms relaxed by the sides of your body.

Now,

Slowly open your knees apart and let the soles of your feet touch,

Coming into a butterfly position with your legs.

You may wish to keep your eyes open or gently let them close,

Whichever feels best for you.

In this position,

Notice the natural arch in your lower back,

Your lumbar spine.

Gently and slowly scoop the last part of your spine very slightly inwards,

So more of your lower back is gently touching the mat beneath you.

Feel that in this position,

Your inner groins and inner thighs are gently being stretched.

Now,

Slowly bring your knees towards each other for an inch and now hold the position while keeping your body relaxed.

Maintain a steady breath,

Breathing in and out through your nose.

We'll be staying here for about two minutes.

As you maintain this position,

Focus on connecting with the fire element.

Visualize and see the image of a small flame within you.

Connect with the center of this flame and with your breath,

Allow it to burn.

Perhaps here,

You may start to feel your inner thigh muscles begin to tremble.

Feel the shaking become stronger and the tremors coming up your spine,

Like a flame spreading and growing.

With each inhale,

Feel the sensations and with each exhale,

Allow the shakes to happen,

Keeping this position and staying as relaxed as possible while holding the position.

Slowly bring your knees towards each other for an inch and now hold the position while keeping your body relaxed.

We'll be staying here for about two minutes.

As you linger here in this position,

Allow yourself to connect with the fire element.

See the image of a flame within you.

Connect with this burning flame and allow the flame to burn.

If you feel the shaking becoming stronger,

Allow the tremors to move up along your spine,

Like a flame spreading,

Growing.

With each inhale,

Observing these sensations and with each exhale,

Allowing the shakes to happen and to spread.

Now bring your knees another inch closer to each other and again hold the position while keeping your body as relaxed as possible and your breathing steady.

We'll be here for two minutes,

Allowing the tremor mechanism to build.

Each time you breathe in,

Observing the sensations,

Keeping your body as relaxed as possible.

Each time you breathe out,

Allow the shakes to spread up from your lower body along your spine to your upper body.

Feel the shaking like the flickering of your inner flame,

Warming and invigorating every cell in your body.

Feel the fire element's energy,

Strengthening your resolve to overcome all obstacles encountered along your path.

Release any tension and anxiety inside of you and reveal your inner flame of confidence and power.

Each time you breathe in,

Observe the sensations,

The tremors,

The shakes and each time you breathe out,

Allow the shakes to spread up from your lower body along your spine to your upper body.

To release from this pose,

Gently and slowly slide your feet away from you and lie flat.

Notice any lingering sensations or vibrations within your inner landscape.

See,

Feel and allow your inner flame to burn brightly and steadily within you.

Inhaling,

Feeding this flame,

Allowing your radiance,

Confidence and power to surface.

Exhaling,

Releasing the ashes,

Letting go of anxiety,

Comparison and self-limiting beliefs.

Inhaling,

Feel your passion,

Your power burning bright.

Exhaling,

Allowing any doubt,

Insecurity and anxiety to burn away.

Inhaling,

Feeling your passion,

Your power burning bright.

Exhaling,

Feeling any doubt,

Insecurity and anxiety gently burn away.

Stay for as long as you wish here,

Connecting with your inner flame.

Remember,

You are the guardian of your inner fire.

Anytime you notice anxiety arising,

You can return to this expiration to reconnect with your inner flame,

Your inner power.

If and when you feel ready to conclude this expiration,

Gently bend your knees,

Slowly roll and lie on your side and take a couple of breaths here.

Gently and slowly push yourself up to a seated position while keeping your connection with your inner fire.

Bring your palms together in front of your heart.

And as you exhale,

Allow your head to bow slightly down towards your heart,

Acknowledging this flame that burns bright within you,

Sharing your warmth and radiance with the world.

And as you inhale,

Release your palms and open your eyes and bring this inner warmth and radiance with you into the rest of your day.

As summer reaches its peak,

The fruits become ripe and juicy,

Signaling harvest season.

Fire gives rise to earth.

In our next conversation,

We will explore the earth element and how to stay centered through all challenges and transitions.

I'll see you there.
