This is a guided visualization exercise to embody the energy and qualities of a masterful salesperson, someone who moves, touches, and inspires others to work with you. Designed for me, it helped a friend with his two sales conversations that both converted - so I thought I'd share it here as well. Sales is a very important skill that you use every single day.

Whether you are enrolling a prospect to pay you for your services,

Polarizing a woman by letting them know that you're sexually attracted to them in a way that has them feel safe and curious to lean in,

Or simply persuading a friend to eat at a brunch spot.

Whatever the case,

Enrollment and sales involves taking the time to understand who you are speaking to,

What's really important to them,

What they really desire,

And creating a bridge between their deep desires and what you want them to do.

Before your sales call,

You take the time to review your notes.

You've already grounded yourself and meditated.

And during this review,

You ask yourself,

Who is this person?

What really matters to them?

What do they really want to achieve?

What might be preventing them from achieving these things?

What feeling are they really wanting to experience?

You ground yourself into these questions,

Whether you know the answers to them discreetly,

Overtly or not.

Because you genuinely want the best for this human being.

And this primes you.

A relaxed smile permeates your face.

All the appropriate tabs are open,

Ready to go on your laptop.

You know your packages inside and out.

You review them again,

Because repetition is the language of the brain.

Your prospect received reminders of this upcoming call 24 hours beforehand,

One hour prior,

Even ten minutes before the call.

You hop on the Zoom call ten minutes early.

If it's a phone call,

You are ready ten minutes beforehand.

You affirm,

Divine creator,

Enslave me to my highest purpose.

Give me the strength,

The courage,

The confidence,

Dynamism,

Proactiveness,

Whatever it takes to meet them eye to eye and inspire them to graciously pay me to powerfully impact their lives so they can give more,

Love more,

Earn more,

Create more,

Be more fulfilled.

Bless me with the strength to hold space for all of that now.

You come to the call grounded,

Ready.

They arrive on the call a few minutes late.

You maintain compassion,

Professionalism,

And assertiveness.

You realize that this is likely happening in other areas of their lives because nothing occurs in isolation.

You might say,

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

I understand that we are on this call because you're interested in potentially working together.

Is that right?

And you let them know that we only have this much time for this call.

So in the spirit of maximizing our time together,

I'll be asking you some questions just to make sure that we're a good fit.

And at the end,

I can answer any questions you might have.

You are setting the stage and establishing leadership right from the beginning,

Which in some shape or form,

They are looking to have more leadership in their life.

You're leading by example.

If the prospect asks questions from the get go,

You just let them know.

I can totally answer any questions you have.

But before we do that,

It's important for us to see if there's a good fit between us first.

If we do see that there's a good fit,

We can definitely talk about the process and other details.

You are calm,

Confident,

And self-assured.

When the prospect says yes,

You seamlessly segue into exploring their vision,

Asking questions like,

Why did you book a call today?

What would you really want to achieve if we worked together?

You are planting seeds of future achievement.

You genuinely want to know what they truly desire.

And even if you sense that it might be deeper than what they say they desire,

You understand that many who come to you are looking for the tangible achievement.

They are looking to achieve more of those surface goals,

And that's totally fine.

The most important thing is that you are deeply listening to them.

You explore their vision,

You explore their pain points.

This might be uncomfortable for them.

It can be vulnerable.

You continue holding sacred space for them,

Grounded,

Accepting,

Strong.

You might ask,

What's preventing you from meeting this goal,

From having that life?

What have you tried that hasn't worked?

You lean in,

You show compassion with a masculine backbone.

It's sturdy.

Your posture is upright,

Alert.

You are relaxed,

Present.

If you notice they have a tendency to ramble,

You stop them at certain moments to recenter and get clarity.

They are likely looking for a coach to prioritize specific areas of their life.

Helping them get to the point is directly cultivating this skill.

Regardless,

You acknowledge their challenges and pain.

You normalize their challenges and pain.

You care for them,

And you are building safety and trust.

Once you understand their pain points,

Now is the time to test their commitment.

They may ask questions like,

Is solving this problem or getting this result a now thing for you?

How committed are you to meeting this goal?

This will allow you to elaborate on their goals through curious inquiry.

You are perfectly in tune with what the prospect is looking for,

And you adjust your energy accordingly.

That's how present you are,

As you feel your feet connected to the ground.

If you sense they are sensitive and in a vulnerable space,

You lean into asking softer questions with warm acknowledgements.

You might ask for a little more permission.

This builds safety.

If you sense they have this alpha go-getter energy,

You step into asking bolder questions.

You are very dynamic,

With a confidence that grounds anyone in front of you,

Because you are coming from a place as an enrolling,

Grounded warrior.

You acknowledge the situation.

You continue building safety and trust in this sacred space that you do so well.

You embody a transformational presence that Leon illustrates in A Shift in Being.

Your confidence is brimming,

An equanimous confidence.

Your breathing is deep,

And with the person over there.

After listening deeply,

You mirror back to make sure your prospect is being truly heard,

Seen and valued.

Your presence grounds them.

You might say,

I just want to repeat back what I've understood and gathered so far from our conversation.

And then you reflect on what you heard them say with masculine care.

The more you are with them,

The more you grace them with your presence,

The more you notice they relax.

Their shoulders roll back.

Their posture is more open.

They nod more when you speak,

Because they get that you get them.

Is there anything that I might have missed?

You provide an opportunity for them to speak on it a little more.

You are laser focused on them being heard.

You stare straight into the camera when you are speaking,

As if you are directly looking at them.

During the call,

You do not see an alignment.

You acknowledge them and communicate clearly that this isn't an ideal fit.

You hold space for them,

And if there are resources that you can provide for them,

You offer it.

You also know when there is a great fit,

Maybe even a great and uncomfortable fit.

They lean in and grasp onto your every word.

They nod in agreement,

Once again,

Like this coach really gets me.

This is the juice.

They feel heard,

Seen,

And valued in your transformational presence.

And you notice this.

You naturally move into communicating how you can help them,

Not about the process.

You are communicating the results you can help them to achieve.

That is the main thing.

People don't care about the process as much as what you can help them to attain,

To achieve.

It's the results they're really looking for.

You've been present with them,

Grounded and self-assured.

You see massive potential in that person in front of you.

There's an alignment,

And you know that,

Yet you are unattached to any outcome.

You know you can help this person regardless.

You talk about other people's successes by working with you and how that relates to theirs.

You smile.

You exude warmth.

There's this beautiful dance together,

And you can see the light bulbs brightening in their eyes.

You are present with them,

Truly wanting the best for them,

And they can feel that.

This is now an opportunity for the prospect to enroll themselves.

Your shoulders are relaxed,

Breathing deeply.

Your attention is solely focused on them.

Yet there is a lightness about you,

A confident playfulness.

You have the prospect repeat back to ensure that there is a common ground established.

How does that sound to you?

What about it sounds good?

Based on what I said,

Do you feel like I'm the right coach for you?

You maintain a confident and grounded energy,

Unattached to the outcome,

Because the most important thing is that you ensured that they felt heard,

That you got them,

And that you were clear in your request.

You ask them if they'd like to know what it could look like working together.

If they say yes,

You confidently present the offer.

Based on what you're looking for,

There are a few ways to work with me.

You clearly and concisely define the coaching container,

The duration,

The key elements,

Unlimited WhatsApp correspondence,

Group accountability,

Etc.

,

And the price to work with you.

You connect all of these pieces back to the results they want.

You get that the price is a gift to them.

The price point may be uncomfortable for them.

That's good.

It solidifies a commitment,

A commitment to something that is very important to them.

It's an opportunity to put a stake in the ground.

After you name the price,

You confidently wait for their response,

As much silence as is necessary.

They may have hesitation.

They may say it's a money issue.

If so,

You acknowledge their concern,

And you realize that it's likely the case that they do have the funds if they really wanted it,

Which means they aren't present to the importance and urgency of getting their results,

And seeing you as a credible vehicle to achieve that.

Perfect.

You are relaxed and confident.

You might probe statements and questions like,

I hear what you're saying,

And let me ask you a question.

You ask from a place of certainty and curiosity.

Does this idea make sense to you?

You are committed to them getting the breakthrough they truly want,

And this is an exact opportunity for them to experience a breakthrough.

They may say they need to speak with a partner.

This is where you can have fun and see how well they know their partner,

And this can boost their confidence to demonstrate how well they know them.

What questions they might ask,

What their concerns might be,

And if need be,

You can schedule a three-way call within the next 24 hours.

Some prospects use this as a way to be nice when they really want to say no.

Others really want to work with you and want permission from their spouses or business partners to move forward.

You are present with them and confidently steer the conversation to recognize the difference.

They feel safe in your presence.

You are skilled in this dance,

And they see this as an opportunity to invest in their dreams.

Whether it's the perceived value,

They see they need the more time,

You get it,

And you confidently read the energy,

Adjust,

And continue moving the needle towards what's really important to them,

Those results they say they want.

You're able to invoke smiles and laughter,

And that brings a lightness into the space that builds trust and inspires them to lean in more.

As Grant Cardone says,

When you get people laughing,

You can do a deal with them.

You can never blow a deal because of something you said or did.

You always blow deals because you didn't do something.

You are courageous and read energy very well.

You take chances and communicate their desires and feelings oftentimes even before they say it.

This makes you a master salesman.

When they say,

Yes,

I'm in,

Let's do this,

You confidently ask for their email and send them over the contract and invoice and wait for them to sign the contract and make payment on the call to solidify their commitment to their life and the people they care about.

They might be uncomfortable,

But it means they are also excited.

Once they process the invoice,

Which you received through an email confirmation,

You congratulate them.

You celebrate with them.

This is another life that will be changed and fuck yes for them committing to a life of higher accomplishment,

Deeper connection,

And greater fulfillment through our work together.

Get off the call grounded and grateful that you get to continue serving every connection,

Every call,

Every followup,

Every post is an act of higher purpose.

Your masterful ability to sell is a walking testament in your ability to serve,

Which deeply fulfills you and all those you touch.
