Welcome to this practice on accepting what is.
I invite you to find a comfortable place to sit or lay down.
Someplace where you can get relaxed and just ease into this state of presence.
So just take a moment to get comfortable finding all the edges of your body,
Feeling into your feet,
Feeling into your hands,
Noticing your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your tummy,
Your crown.
Noticing also whatever is within you.
Whatever it is that you might be struggling with or dancing with or wishing something were different.
Whatever that is,
Just notice it without any judgment.
This has been an intense period and there's been a lot to dance with.
A lot of uncertainty,
A lot of restriction.
Today we're just going to hold space for what is,
Simply being with what is.
So I invite you to notice just your breath as it moves in and out of your body.
No need to control it or manage it.
It happens on its own.
Just pay attention to the air as it moves past your nostrils.
Cool on the inhale,
Warm and moist on the exhale.
Just sit with the breath for a few breaths.
Noticing the breath while also keeping some awareness on your feet,
Your hands,
Your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your tummy and your crown.
Notice what it feels like to breathe into all of your edges,
As if you could breathe from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.
With each breath,
Feeling your entire vessel just with glorious atmosphere,
Everything you need to survive.
And it just happens effortlessly and automatically.
What a gift.
Carry that breath all the way into all the aspects of your being,
All the way down to your feet.
Notice what it feels like to fill up with this life-giving energy from the atmosphere.
Notice what it feels like to breathe into your shoulders and your jaw.
Are you holding any tension there?
Notice what it feels like to breathe into your fingers,
Into your palms.
Notice your belly as you breathe in.
Is it expanding or are you holding it tight?
If you notice any tightness,
Just breathe into it.
Notice what it feels like to just feel open to receiving the blessing of the atmosphere.
Notice the expansion.
And then from this place of expanded awareness,
This place of presence,
Remember now the issue that you're dancing with.
Maybe you're feeling a sense of restriction.
Maybe you're feeling a sense of not belonging.
Maybe you're feeling a sense of loneliness or frustration or anger even.
Maybe there are things beyond your control,
Things over which you wish you had control.
It could be a health issue for you or a loved one.
It could be a shutdown issue for you and your community.
It could be a pervasive sense of isolation or not belonging.
Or it could be a situationally induced sense of lack of control.
Whatever it is,
Allow it to come forward.
Invite it into this space of presence.
How does it feel to hold this unknown,
This discomfort?
How does it feel to hold it in your heart?
To hold it in your tummy?
To hold it in your throat even?
Does your throat feel like it's starting to close?
Do you feel a heaviness in your shoulders?
Do you feel a tightness in your jaw?
What if there's another way to dance with this feeling?
What if there's another way to be with the unknown?
What if there's a way of allowing space for your expanded self and for this aspect of your situation or your experience right now?
What if there's a way for you to be expanded even in the face of the unknown,
Even in the face of the restriction,
Even in the face of a sense of not belonging or a sense of isolation?
Is it possible that the fullness of your being is enough?
Is it possible that in this moment as you dance with the discomfort that you are fully resourced,
That you are and always have been able to dance with anything,
Able to maintain your sense of self,
Able to be the expanded version of yourself at any moment's notice?
Focus now on the center of your chest,
On your heart center.
This is the most blessed energy center of them all,
For it balances the energy centers that make us human,
That keep us in our animal state.
Our lower three energy centers,
It balances them with our higher knowing,
Our higher states of expression.
It's in the heart center that we fully express all aspects of our being.
Focus now on this heart center and as you breathe in,
Breathe and energize this heart center,
Fill this center with your breath.
You can even place a hand on your heart center.
Notice the energy as it expands and moves in and through you.
Feel the fullness of this expansion with each and every breath.
Notice what it feels like to be fully in your heart center,
To feel a sense of peace,
Of love,
Of compassion,
Of oneness even.
Again from this expanded state,
Invite the discomfort into your heart center.
Invite it into your awareness.
Bring it forth as though it is an energy that lives right in front of you.
An energy with which you can truly dance.
Invite the discomfort into the dance with you.
Notice how resourced you are for this dance.
Notice how what is is no longer a burden.
It is simply your dance partner.
Notice how what is is not something with which you need to struggle,
But it's something that you can move easefully through time and space with.
What is is never your enemy.
What is is simply what is.
Neither good nor bad.
Neither dark nor light.
It simply is.
Notice what it feels like to dance around the room with what is.
Notice how resourced you are.
Notice even how the dance can make you smile,
How it can be playful.
And no matter what,
How there's always something for you to gain from it.
If you feel so inclined,
You can even ask your dance partner now,
What lesson are you here to receive from this dance today?
Be open to receiving messages throughout the rest of the day.
Messages from your higher self.
Messages to help you grow and evolve and heal along your journey.
And when you feel complete,
You may bow to your dance partner and think what is for being your teacher today.
You can think what is for reminding you how resourced you are,
How resourced you always are when you choose to be.
Bring your awareness now back fully to your body to this present moment.
Noticing again all the edges,
Finding your feet,
Your hands,
Your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your tummy and your crown.
Finding all the parts of yourself.
And embracing all aspects of yourself in a big energetic hug.
You can stretch,
Wiggle your hands and fingers and toes.
Knowing you can always come back to this fully resourced heart center space.
Anytime you choose,
It is always here for you.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
