Let's start with some heart focused breathing,

Focus your attention on the area of the heart.

Imagine your breath is moving in and out of your chest or heart center,

Breathing a little deeper and slower than usual,

Finding an easy rhythm that's comfortable for you.

With each breath,

Simply breathing into your heart center,

Energizing that space,

Energizing all the cells in your body,

And imagining a seed of light at the center of your chest.

With each breath,

It grows larger and larger.

Imagine growing a sphere of light inside your chest,

Inside your ribcage,

Any color that works for you that you adore,

Any color that excites you or energizes or brings peace to you,

Allowing that sphere of light to continue growing.

And now with your imagination,

Imagine holding that sphere of light in your hands and bringing it forward in front of you so that you can really see this beautiful,

Glowing sphere of light,

Holding it in your hands as though it's an offering that has been given to you by your higher self.

Perhaps you can feel energy in the palms of your hands.

Now I invite you to breathe in compassion.

Imagine this feeling of compassion that you have surely felt at some point in your life for a child or an animal or someone you care deeply for.

Just imagine actually blowing compassion into the field of this sphere,

Infusing this sphere with compassion,

Calling up a memory of compassion and blowing it into your hands that are holding this perfect sphere of light.

Next I invite you to bring into your consciousness something in your experience that has felt challenging of late.

Could be a physical condition in your body,

Something having to do with a relationship.

It could be extra stress,

Could be exhaustion,

Could be some kind of fear or doubt.

It could be that you are bringing yourself to the edge of your comfort zone in some kind of way and you're feeling uneasy about that.

Bring it into your mind,

Hold it there.

The first step is to simply just accept that this is happening,

That this is a part of your experience.

You feel nervous about something,

You feel angry about something,

You feel upset about something,

You feel confused about something.

Just accept that this is your state of being.

When this situation arises,

It elicits a certain feeling,

A certain response,

And simply by accepting and just allowing it to be present in your experience without needing to change it.

You just let it be.

And we honor if there's resistance to just letting it be as if this is some simple easy thing to do.

It is simple,

But it isn't always easy.

But can you just say,

I see that fear is present.

I see that anger is present,

That confusion is present,

Frustration or irritation,

Whatever the thing is,

If it's shame or exhaustion,

I notice that it's present and I allow you to be present even if I wish you weren't.

And remember,

You're still holding the sphere of compassion in your hands.

So I invite you now,

Using your intention and your awareness and your imagination,

Send that uncomfortable feeling or state into the sphere of light in your hands.

So if it's fear,

Allow your hands to hold the fear.

If it's irritation or shame or anger or hatred or mild confusion,

Whatever it is,

Just allow your hands now to hold it.

You might feel a heaviness or some kind of change in the energy there,

And that's okay.

So we've been working on accepting and allowing,

Giving it space to just be in our presence.

Remember,

This is what Gabor Mate says love is,

Allowing the other to be unconditionally in your presence exactly as they are.

This is what love is.

And so if I'm feeling fear or doubt or worry,

Or if you're noticing some discomfort,

Just let it sit in your hands.

Remind yourself that you have beautiful healing energy in your hands.

And what would it be like now to offer a blessing to this experience that you're holding?

What would it feel like to breathe in grace and breathe out this blessing and breathe that into your hands?

This could be a blessing from your higher self,

From your energetic guides,

From your benevolent ancestors,

From God,

Goddess,

Spirit,

All that is.

Allow this energy to move through you into your hands now.

Allow yourself,

Even if it's for a millisecond,

To bless that uncomfortable feeling or situation that you're holding.

See how long you can send grace and love.

Maybe there are certain words that are coming through.

I'm going to let this go silent while you channel this energy and notice what your body is doing.

Notice any insights that you're receiving.

What does it feel like to have a blessing move through you?

What does it feel like to be the one who can both bless and be blessed in the same moment?

What does it feel like to access your divinity in this way?

What do you notice about that original feeling or difficult situation?

How does it feel in your hands?

How does it feel in your body to hold both the shadow and the light,

The difficulty and the blessing?

How does it feel to realize how blessed you are,

How powerful you are?

Now using that sacred imagination that you hold,

Imagine everything you've been holding in your hands this whole time.

Imagine it as a beautiful bird and you're holding so softly and delicately and the bird is just in your hands sitting there.

Just invite you using your imagination to gently lift your hands up and let that bird return to the sky,

To the ether,

To the cosmos.

Just like that,

Just letting it all go,

Carry it on the wind and returning your precious attention and awareness to the center of your chest,

To your heart space.

Breathing in through your heart,

Activating your heart space,

Breathing in compassion for yourself.

Just breathing out peace,

Calm,

Neutrality.

Once again,

Breathing in compassion,

Breathing out equanimity.

One last time,

Breathing in compassion and just breathing out surrender,

Letting that go.

And when you feel complete,

Allowing your eyes to open and returning your attention and awareness to the room that you're in.
