Welcome to this Grateful for Health meditation.

And I was inspired to record this meditation because I recently recovered from being knocked out by some kind of food poisoning for a few days.

Feeling so bad,

All I wanted was my health,

To feel better.

And now that I'm better,

I've lost the gratitude.

So it's important to recreate that feeling.

Why should we take it for granted?

I wished for it so dearly.

Not caring about anything else,

Money,

Success,

None of that mattered.

Maybe you can relate.

So let's bring gratitude back to this miraculous body and to our health.

We don't need to be in so-called perfect health to be grateful for our health.

We can simply be grateful for an element of our health.

For the fact that our body carries us through the day and lets us experience life.

That as a being,

We get to enjoy life through this vessel.

And it does so much without us doing anything.

It breathes.

Breathing in a deep breath through the nose and out through the nose.

And again.

It detoxifies itself.

Putting gratitude for all the organs involved in that process.

If you like,

You can visualize parts of your body that help to detoxify you and send deep gratitude to them.

As if they are a friend that has done something amazing for you and all you want to say is just thank you.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for everything that you do.

Send gratitude to your liver.

Send gratitude to your kidneys.

Send gratitude to the processes that cleanse your body and get rid of anything that wants to leave your body.

These are all so important for keeping us going on this experience we call life.

And whenever one of them comes out of balance,

We start to feel it very quickly and all we wish for is balance once more.

So when we are in balance,

Even if some of us or some parts of us are not feeling perfectly balanced,

Let's just bring gratitude to the fact that our body is always moving towards balance.

It always wants to heal itself.

We just have to help it heal itself and get out of its way by showing love to our body in terms of the food we consume,

In terms of getting the right amount of hydration,

Exercise,

Sunlight.

These are ways of giving back and showing respect and love.

Doing stretches to release tension.

Doing stretching where we can bring gratitude and love back to our body that does so much for us.

That we stop being so forgetful and keep holding more gratitude for our body.

Scanning your body now,

Starting with your head.

Just taking a deep breath in through the nose.

And just really holding your whole area of your head from the top,

From the crown,

With an intense feeling of gratitude.

Gratitude for the strongest muscle in your body,

The chewing muscle,

Your jaw.

Gratitude for your tongue and your teeth that help you ingest food that are so vital for you to thrive.

Thank you.

Bring gratitude to your eyes.

Thank you.

This gratitude washes over your ears,

Down your neck,

All your neck does to hold up your head and to tilt in different directions.

Thank you.

Washing over your shoulders,

Really deeply feeling this gratitude you have for your shoulders and everything that they do.

A very important part in your mobility.

And even if the shoulders are not functioning as they once were,

Just be grateful for anything that they still currently do.

Letting the gratitude wash down to your chest where you find your heart.

The powerhouse of your body,

Keeping everything going.

The beating of your heart signifies your aliveness and energetically speaking,

Your heart lets you live with love and authenticity,

Compassion.

Making you realize the oneness that you are with all beings and not getting trapped in pointless arguments.

But instead when you come from the heart,

Life is pure and purely amazing.

So extending gratitude for your heart,

Physically,

Energetically and moving down your arms,

Your left arm,

Your right arm until you reach your hands and holding deep gratitude for your hands and all that they do.

How they let you pick up things,

Write things,

You name it.

Thank you.

Moving to your lungs as the breath comes in.

Oxygen flooding your body,

Refreshing oxygen and breathing out.

Thank you lungs.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose.

Feeling it in your belly,

Gratitude washes down to your belly.

Gratitude for your breath that you can breathe naturally here.

Gratitude for all the functions in this area.

Let this gratitude wash over your upper back now.

Gratitude for your spine.

Gratitude for your lower back.

Moving down further to your reproductive organs.

Deep deep gratitude.

The same goes for your backside of course.

Deep gratitude.

Moving down to your legs,

The front and back of them.

However well they may be functioning,

Deep gratitude for them.

Moving down to your feet.

Thank you.

Bringing gratitude to the blood that flows through your body.

All the functions it has.

You couldn't experience life as fully as you do.

They don't need to be in perfect health for you to be grateful for them.

Gratitude for your immune system.

Everything it does to keep you healthy.

Visualizing your gut specifically because that's where a lot of your immune system gets strengthened.

Putting the intention to eat food that is healthy for your gut.

To reduce stress as much as you can by meditating,

By going for a walk or whatever you can do.

Thank you immune system for everything that you do.

Give thanks to your hormones.

To all nerve endings,

All receptors,

All neurotransmitters,

All the processes,

All the parts,

All the elements of your body.

As you're here,

You're basking in deep gratitude for all of it as you breathe in deeply through your nose.

You hold,

You feel the gratitude and you let go.

And repeat again,

Breathe in through the nose.

Feel the gratitude tingling in your whole body and being.

And let go.

Let's do that again and multiply by 10.

Feeling 10 times more gratitude than before for our entire body.

And again 10 times more breathing in,

Holding and letting go.

I'm so grateful for my health.

I don't need to be in poor health to appreciate my health.

I'm grateful for every grain of health that I'm blessed with.

I bring awareness to that as often as I can.

Feeling deep gratitude and joy for being blessed with this health.

And as I go through my life,

I remind others of the same,

Of holding gratitude for their health.

And I don't need to even say any words.

Simply by holding this gratitude for my own health,

They can sense that already and they will become more grateful for their health.

So as we go through our day or if you're listening to this at night,

Just deeply tune in to how grateful you are for your health.

And check in with yourself whenever you can to see if you're appreciating and if you're grateful.

If not,

Just try to come back to it and realize that when you're down all you wish for is health.

So now that you have it,

Why not appreciate it as much as you wished for it?

Taking one last deep breath of gratitude.

Feeling the sensation of love in your body.

This meditation masterfully guided me back to the times when my one wish was to feel better and at full physical potential. All the many times in my life when I was feeling sick or perhaps I injured myself, I would pray and meditate for healing, recovery, and good health. This mind, body, spirit check in was extremely powerful in finding endless strength in gratitude.
