Welcome to the meditation of finding and facing your hurdles.
Take this moment to prepare yourself comfortably.
Shoulders falling behind you,
I want you to close your eyes.
Allow them to feel heavy.
Feel the gentleness of your breath,
Allowing yourself to expand within and to melt away as you exhale.
Feel that gentleness within your body,
Notice the way that it makes you feel.
Look deep into the darkness.
Notice the subtle sensations within your body.
Begin to hear the movement of water.
Listen to the water.
Notice how you feel.
Allow the breath to follow the motion of the water.
Inhale one way and exhale the other.
As you look around yourself,
Notice the stream of your water.
Notice how wide or narrow it is.
What do you acknowledge about the water?
The way that moves?
What do you feel?
And beyond the water,
Notice trees and shrubs surrounding it.
See a whole forest surrounding you.
Notice what you see.
And suddenly,
A tree falls down onto the stream of water.
Notice how that made you feel.
Who did you see?
What did you hear as the tree had fallen?
Notice what's represented in this log.
It may be a person,
Event,
Or thought.
Notice in the way it affects the water,
Its very flow.
Notice in the way it makes you feel.
Take time here to just breathe through this awareness.
Notice this hurdle.
Become aware of it.
And then a second tree falls.
Notice where it falls into the water.
Notice the way it made you feel.
Who or what do you see within this tree?
Just acknowledge.
Notice how it makes you feel,
Breathing slowly and deeply here.
Notice in the way that the second tree affected the flow of your water,
Noticing how it makes you feel.
Come to those sensations,
Breathing slowly and deeply.
And notice the third tree falling over.
Notice where along the stream it falls.
What you initially felt.
Just come to terms in the sensation.
Notice the way it affects the flow of your water and how that makes you feel.
And look at the stream of water as a whole.
Notice how these logs of wood have prevented the flow.
Acknowledge what you see.
Acknowledge the emotions that you initially felt and are feeling.
Breathe here.
And I want you to walk up to the first tree that had fallen.
As you approach it,
Notice how you feel.
As you look towards this first tree,
Look around.
Scope up any avenues that may likely allow you to navigate through it.
Notice that there's tools on you that you can utilize.
Find a way to maneuver through this barricade.
Take your time and acknowledge what it is that you're doing.
Noticing how you feel as you come to successfully move through this.
Notice that feeling.
Notice how the stream of the water has changed.
Allow yourself to approach the second tree that had fallen.
Notice the way it has fallen.
Looking around.
Acknowledging the ways that you can navigate through this.
Using the tools you have on you and around you.
Notice what it is that you're doing.
And as you navigate through this,
Notice the way it makes you feel.
Notice the stream of water.
Notice if there's any differences.
And approach the third tree that has fallen.
Notice the way it has fallen.
Looking around.
Acknowledging the ways that you can move through this.
Using the tools that you have on you or around you.
Notice what it is that you're doing.
Take time here to breathe.
Notice in the way it makes you feel as you navigate through this.
And look around.
Notice the stream of water.
Notice where those barricades are and what they're doing.
Notice how you emotionally feel this moment.
What you feel within.
And listen to the water.
Listen in the way it moves.
Connecting to that sensation.
Allowing your breath to follow its motion.
Inhale.
Hearing it move.
As it moves,
Allow yourself to inhale and exhale.
Feeling heaviness in your body.
Feeling the ground below you.
How firm it is.
Slowly start to awaken the body.
Making movement within every limb.
I hope you enjoyed the meditation for finding and facing your hurdles.
And may you face them and navigate through them.
