Hello there beautiful one.
My name is Faith Hunter and I wanted to drop into a moment of self-care but also I want to talk about self-love.
Now in this practice we are going to do a moment of stillness.
We are going to breathe a little bit.
We're also going to do some affirmations and some journal prompts.
Now I want you to know that as you commit to your own practice of self-care this is about self-preservation.
This is about nourishing your body,
Your mind,
And your soul on a really deep level so that you have the capacity to step out into the world in your fullness.
Practicing radical self-love is not selfish.
It is a spiritual requirement.
It is an essential way of being and existing because we know the old line in the old statement of your cup must be full.
One of the things I like to think about is that statement around I must fill my teacup up so that it overflows and I give from the saucer not from my cup.
So yes practicing radical self-love is a necessity especially in this day and age.
I want you to pause for a moment maybe take a couple of long deep breaths in and out of your nose.
Begin to think about what self-love means to you.
How do you even practice self-care,
Self-preservation,
Self-nurturing,
Self-awareness,
Personal deep self-refinement?
Ultimately how are you taking care of you?
And with the eyes slightly closed or cast down just allow the breath to flow gently in and out.
Feel a softness come upon your shoulders as you feel your hips grounded into the earth.
Breathe into this space and know that with each breath you are breathing in love.
And I'm gonna invite you to repeat these affirmations after me and if you want you can place both hands over the center of your chest right there at your heart chakra,
Your Adahata chakra,
That place of deep intimacy and care.
I am deserving of love and joy.
I am deserving of love and joy.
Every choice that I make is a reflection of self-love.
Every choice I make is a reflection of self-love.
I release all judgment and criticism and I step into my fullness.
I release all judgment and criticism and I step into my fullness.
I am enough.
I am enough.
I am worthy.
I am worthy.
Now take a deep breath in.
Hold and retain your breath.
Just feel all that moving around you through you and then exhale.
Begin to blink your eyes open and I want you to join me for a few journal prompts.
As you respond to these journal prompts know that you can pause this video,
Write down your response and then come back.
The first one is what are three things that you love about yourself?
What are three things that you love about yourself?
Next,
How can you set better boundaries in order to protect your peace?
How can you set better boundaries in order to protect your peace?
In what ways are you denying yourself of love?
In what ways are you denying yourself of love?
And the last journal prompt,
In what ways can you practice radical self-love on a daily basis?
In what ways can you practice radical self-love on a daily basis?
And once you finish those journal prompts I want you to pause one more time and take another long deep breath in through your nose and then exhale out of your mouth.
Shake it out if you need to and then thank yourself.
Thank yourself for pausing,
For showing up in this moment and know that even listening to this video,
Doing the affirmations or simply journaling are all acts of radical self-love.
Thanks so much.
Ciao.
