Hello and welcome to our morning meditation and breathwork session.
I'm Faith Hunter and I will guide you through a transformative journey that will set a positive tone for your day.
This practice is designed to awaken your senses,
Clarify your mind and align your soul with purpose.
As we step into a new day,
Let's commit to moving through it with intention,
Grace and focus.
Find a comfortable seated position where you can feel at ease yet alert.
You can sit on the floor,
In the chair,
On the sofa or even on a bench.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze,
Allowing yourself to fully arrive in this present moment.
Place your hands on your knees or on your lap and I want your palms to actually face up.
Use this as a gesture to ready yourself to receive today's gifts.
Now take a deep breath in,
Filling up your lungs with fresh morning air and then exhale slowly out of your nose,
Releasing any tension you may be holding on to.
Let's do that two more times,
Just breathing in through your nose,
Welcoming your day and then exhale.
One more,
Breathing in and exhale.
Know that as the breath continues to flow in and out of your nose in a very light way,
I want you to feel a little more grounded and centered.
Relax those shoulders,
Feel your hips sinking into your chair,
Your sofa,
Wherever you are seated and start to visualize roots extending from the base of your spine.
Now these roots are anchoring you deeper into the earth.
This connection to the earth provides you with the stability and strength that you need to move through the day.
Now with your foundation firm,
Imagine drawing up,
Feel that energy rise from the earth,
Nurturing you and revitalizing you.
Now that you feel grounded and centered,
We're going to do a little breathing practice.
As we prepare to engage in what is called right nostril breathing,
Understand that this technique I've chosen because it will help to stimulate the active solar energy within you.
It enhances concentration,
Gives you a little more zazazing and readiness for the day.
This breath work will help you to invite a little more clarity and focus and prepare your mind for all your tasks and the joys ahead.
Gently close off your left nostril with your thumb or your ring finger,
Whatever feels most comfortable.
And then start to inhale slowly and deeply through your right nostril,
Again filling your lungs with energy and light.
And know that you can pause briefly at the top of the inhale and then gently exhale out of the right nostril.
And you're inhaling through the right nostril and exhaling through the right nostril.
The left nostril is closed off.
Just keep the breath flowing in and out,
Repeating this process for a few more rounds.
And as you do so,
Allow your rhythm and your pace to be yours.
Steady,
Focused,
Yet calm.
Now take another deep breath in through your right nostril.
Hold and retain the breath just for a few seconds.
Release your left nostril and then exhale out of both nostrils.
Allow the breath now to flow in and out of both nostrils,
Keeping the shoulders relaxed and the crown of your head lifting up to the sky.
And continue to breathe in and out as you start to visualize a clear,
Bright light right at the center of your forehead.
That space right between your brow,
Your third eye,
Or sometimes people call it the first eye.
This light represents your inner wisdom and clarity.
And with each breath,
See this light becoming brighter,
Illuminating your mind and dissolving any clouds of uncertainty.
Feel yourself becoming more and more aligned with your purpose,
Your goals,
And your path ahead.
Taking a few more rounds of breath in and out of your nose,
Still focusing right between your brow,
Seeing that bright light,
And maintaining your focus.
Now take another deep breath in,
Exhale slowly,
And place your left palm over the center of your chest and your right palm rests on top.
Thank yourself for dedicating this time to your well-being and setting the tone for your day.
If you haven't already,
In your mind and in your heart,
Set a clear intention.
Know that this intention that you're sealing in as you move into your day can be a word,
A phrase that embodies how you wish to feel and how you wish to carry this energy throughout your day.
And as your palms press against the center of your chest,
Hold that intention close to your heart as you start to blink the eyes open.
Carry your intention,
Carry their sense of focus,
Carry that vibration of clarity into your day.
