So for this session today,
Allow yourself to contemplate or take what resonates with you and allow yourself to leave what doesn't.
In a time where there are so many things alive and at the surface,
It's also time to recognize that a whole bunch of different truths and people's experiences and perspectives are valid.
So whatever that is for you,
Maybe you don't even know what that is,
But just know that regardless of what I say today or what my perspectives are or what's coming through intuitively,
What I'm feeling,
To still validate yourself,
Your life,
Your experiences,
And to simply take this as an offering,
You know,
And maybe something lands.
So in this time right now,
It's a courageous thing to say anything at all.
For some people,
Especially online,
We're aware it doesn't take maybe a lot of courage and a lot of things are being said.
And there's something to recognize about that that I've felt into the energy is for a long time,
You know,
Most of my life growing up,
The energy is really different now than it used to be.
And,
You know,
Before the age of the internet,
Before this energy kind of came up that's very different the past few years,
There wasn't a lot being said per se.
It's not that people didn't talk,
But it's that there was this hesitancy around speaking what one feels,
You know,
Or one's truth or one's authentic expression.
And there's lots of reasons why,
Right?
Like you can pay attention to certain aspects of our society or our life or our history that would have brought in this suppressive kind of energy that makes us feel scared to self-express.
And all this self-expression is very chaotic right now,
But it's almost like the lid has been taken off.
And there is a lot of people now,
Especially with this freedom and the sense of safety it creates being on the internet,
Is just opening up that cap.
I mean,
Like all these things that I felt so suppressed before,
Maybe years ago someone would look at something or be aware of something and just keep their mouth shut and think something in their head,
Not say anything out loud,
And just kind of move on with their day and try and keep the peace.
There's still aspects of our life,
Of course,
Where we're trying to keep the peace,
Like such as work or things like that.
But there's also this other energy that's moving,
That's just like no peace.
There hasn't been peace.
There's no,
There's a huge lack of peace now.
And now I just want to say everything,
Like everything wants to be said now.
So it's almost like this cap has been like blown off.
And it's challenging to hope maybe,
Or have an ideal that it would come out mindfully and correctly and all this sort of stuff.
It's very much like,
You know,
Online,
Maybe within families,
Friendships,
There's all this adversity and all this tension.
And there's a lot of pent up emotion,
Energy,
Perspectives,
Thoughts,
From a lifetime,
Maybe lifetimes,
Maybe generations.
And then also amplified by everything that's happened the past five years or so.
And now it's just like,
No one's keeping their mouth shut anymore.
That's happening.
And it's hard if there's,
It's hard to say when you when you talk about the energy that I feel,
And why,
You know,
If it's good,
Or if it's bad,
It's almost an irrelevant conversation in certain ways,
Because you could pick out all these different perspectives of why it's terrible,
And why it's good.
So it's like,
Okay,
It's good,
Because people are expressing themselves.
Now,
They're not as suppressed and held down,
They're sharing what they think,
It's bad,
Because it's volatile.
And it's coming from this awful place,
A lot of the time of fear and insecurity,
And lack of clarity.
Lack of clarity is a big thing that we're sitting in right now,
As we transition,
This energy is very transitional,
We're kind of swirling in the dark,
And there isn't a clear sight of what is happening in the future,
Or where we're actually maybe going,
And what that looks like,
Specifically,
It's very hard to say,
Okay,
We know.
And a lot of our life,
We sometimes live with this idea that we know,
Maybe our previous generations,
Or parents generation,
Or people we see,
They live out a certain life,
Certain things happen one after the other.
And there's just a sense that we kind of know what the future might look like,
Or we kind of know what the path might look like,
Or what's expected,
Or what's going to be acceptable,
Or what we want to do.
And all that is being thrown up into question.
So with this lack of clarity,
This lack of direction,
There's a lot of fear,
You know,
The idea of a stable future,
Or the idea of knowing where things might go,
Creates trust within our daily life,
Creates trust within our actions,
Than our relationships with one another,
With how we communicate,
We're kind of on this journey going towards a similar expression of life.
This may sound vague,
Maybe you understand,
Maybe,
You know,
For my parents generation,
It was like you get,
You go to work,
And then you get a job,
And you make a family,
And then you get old,
And you have grandkids,
And you die,
And you live a happy life.
Maybe some people still do that,
And that's their path.
But there's a lot of people,
Especially the younger generation now,
That's really throwing that up into question.
It's like,
Do I want to do that?
Does that make sense?
Does school make sense?
Do I want kids?
What if I want to live a completely different life?
That's happening.
But then with all the pressures,
So there's all that tension,
There's this like,
Okay,
We want to do something different,
But we don't know what that is.
And then also the all the pressures of very negative energy on the planet,
Right?
So you got,
I don't have to go into it.
Like we are all very aware of the volatility,
And the bullying,
And the wars,
And the fear.
We are all very aware of the negativity that we're sitting in.
Like whether we're ignoring it,
Or we're looking straight at it,
Or we're numbing,
Or we're crying,
It's happening.
Okay,
So that's happening,
Right?
So because this is happening,
Our foundation is completely unstable.
So we got people grasping for certainty,
Grasping for security,
Grasping for anything that can make us feel like our survival is somewhat okay,
As we move forward into this place where we do not know what's happening.
Trust is broken.
Trust is completely broken.
For some people,
Maybe trust isn't broken.
I can't talk for everybody.
Maybe there's some people that still think that,
Okay,
We can still trust certain things.
Before,
There used to be a lot more trust in,
I don't know,
You know,
There were certain things that people may trust.
Maybe they trusted the system,
Or they trusted authority,
Or they trusted,
You know,
Security,
Or they trusted,
You know,
Maybe even friends or family they trusted,
And now they don't trust that anymore.
Or maybe people still trust that.
Maybe their trust,
Broken trust,
Looks different.
But there's a general loss of trust.
There's this energy of loss of trust.
There's a scattering energy of,
I don't know what to grab onto to feel safe.
It's like you keep trying to hold the rope,
And it's slipping out of your hands.
And you maybe try to find one thing to hold on to,
And then you realize you missed all these other things.
Direction is lost.
Desires are being thrown up into question.
So there's this there's this sense of,
Like,
I don't even know what I want.
I don't even know what I desire.
I don't even know what entices me.
I don't even know,
Like,
What inspires me.
And it's not across the board.
Of course,
There's certain things that we still are inspired by and we're aware of.
But there's this energy of,
Like,
I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to do.
I keep going on my daily life.
I'm very unsatisfied,
Though.
Is that what I should be doing?
That's not everybody,
Of course.
But these are collective,
Like,
This is when I feel the energy.
It's like the majority is this.
The majority is,
Like,
I am unsatisfied.
I don't know which way to turn.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know who to trust.
I don't know who I am.
I don't know what to think.
I don't know what's going to happen in the future.
I don't even know what's happening now.
I'm making big decisions,
Maybe,
And I don't know if they're the right decisions.
For a lot of our history,
Especially in my lifetime,
There's been a big focus on money,
Right?
Let's get money.
Let's get as much money as we can get.
When I was younger,
It was a lot,
You know,
Movies,
Cinema,
People talking about it.
This idea of getting a lot of money was sold to us as happiness,
As joy,
As satisfaction.
It'll give you those things,
Right?
And for a period of my life,
And I'm sure other people's lives,
They had that thought of,
Like,
Okay,
Maybe that is it,
Right?
As we come into this energy that's shifting,
Money still matters.
We're still using it,
But there's this collective kind of realization that maybe money's not it.
Money's needed for security,
But maybe a lot of money isn't actually going to provide me happiness.
So as you see the younger generations come up,
They're like,
Oh,
You're going to pay me a bigger paycheck,
Okay,
But how much time am I going to get off?
Am I going to get work-life balance?
I'd rather have work-life balance than more money.
So there's this shift already happening away from the obsessive clinging and sacrificing of life for the striving of money.
And it's not that money doesn't provide security,
And if you need it to get by because you're not doing good,
Then that's another story as well.
So I'm not discounting that,
But I'm saying that that was part of it.
But also this clinging to money,
Which also is exemplified when you're struggling a bit in that realm,
Is it provides safety and security,
Right?
And it provides your foundation for life,
Right?
So there's that idea that if I have money,
I'm going to be secure,
I'm going to be safe,
I'm going to be able to take care of myself and my family,
Okay?
So that's a big,
Big reason why there's been such an obsession with it,
Okay?
So now,
Let's take a different perspective on that,
Okay?
So say that we're looking to money for safety,
Security,
And stability in our foundation,
Our life.
I don't know if you guys listened to Charles Eisenstein,
But this is his point that I brought up,
So I'm going to share it and just talk about it a bit because it's interesting.
So before money,
Right?
Money wasn't always around.
There was different ways of exchanging,
There was different ways of taking care of each other.
Before money,
Our safety,
Our security,
And our foundation in life wasn't from money,
It was from community.
So you're safe because your neighbors are going to take care of you,
You're secure because they'll look out for you,
You'll look out for them,
And you have a foundation in life because of your relationships,
And they're fucking strong.
And if you have that,
Right?
If you,
Like,
Let's take a hypothetical situation.
So let's take a hypothetical situation.
You have a home,
You grow your food with your community,
And you all take care of each other.
So if someone's house burns down,
You all go help them build a new one,
And it's just common practice.
That's just what happens.
You have your needs met from the land and from each other,
And there's trust,
And there's a deep bond there.
And then you tell someone like that you need money,
They'd be like,
Why?
Why do I need money?
Why do I need money?
It doesn't make sense.
Why would I need money?
Because I have all my needs met,
I'm safe and secure as best as I can be in this world,
And I have my foundation met.
I don't know where this idea and shift and all this intensity away from community and towards money began,
But we are in the thick of it.
And the maybe slight silver lining of this,
You could say horrific time that we're sitting in,
Is that we are finally,
Hopefully,
This is an optimistic kind of hope.
Okay,
We're moving hopefully away from money and towards back to community.
And certain things are being forced in this direction,
Because a lot of people are moving home because they can't afford to live anymore.
Whether they want to or not,
They're now closer in relation.
Maybe it's challenging,
And maybe it's going to be hard,
But when money lets us down,
And when this individual striving lets us down,
Which is starting to reap that sort of awareness in this time,
Is that this aggressive individual striving is starting to let us down,
It's our only way to turn is back to each other.
And maybe there's a lot of doubt around that,
And there's a lot of lack of hope.
It's like,
How are we possibly going to turn back to each other in this environment where everyone's cutting each other's heads off?
It's a good question.
And it would also just lend to the idea that we are really in this raw birthing ground of beginning to make our way back to what was.
It's how I feel.
I feel that that is a direction that,
You know,
Say we must go,
And even that,
How else would we be fulfilled if we don't make our way back to that strong bond with each other in the land?
What that looks like,
And how scary and uncertain that is,
That just we're right below step one.
We're like,
You know,
We're really far down the path of excessive individual focus.
So this excessive individual focus,
It caused me a lot of pain in my life.
And there's grief in realizing how much I've shut out of other people or the world because I've been aggressively focused on myself.
And it's not that myself doesn't matter.
Like,
It does matter.
So I'm not going to just throw it out the back door.
We're not throwing ourselves out the back door.
But we're waking up slowly to this realization that we are ourselves because of our neighbors.
Like,
We literally have an identity because of the people around us.
Like,
We don't even have really much at all without our relationship to the earth and to each other.
I think that there was a lot of energy being put into my mind as I grew up about like,
Be successful,
Make a lot of money,
Live into your purpose,
Live into your dream,
Live into your purpose,
Your,
Your,
Your,
Your,
Your,
You,
You,
You,
You,
You,
You,
You,
You,
You can see how many times this word wording is being used.
And it's not to throw it out the back door.
Like I said,
There's definitely individual purpose,
There's definitely coming into yourself.
Okay,
That's not what I'm saying.
But I'm just saying that there's been a huge lack of focus on the power of community and connection of the power of relationship with multiple different ages,
With relying on each other with finding purpose through service,
Through finding purpose of taking care of each other.
There is not enough focus on the excessive support that's available through solid relationships,
Family,
Friends,
Grandparents,
Grandmas,
Children.
And I've contemplated this,
I'm like,
Why,
Like,
Why don't people talk about these things.
And it's interesting,
Because shifting away from the idea of like excessive focus on money,
It's like there's no money to be made in reminding people that their family and their friends and their communities are there for them.
And they will provide foundations,
Or they're supposed to be able to provide foundations and opportunities for you to grow and to express yourself in the world and to be supported.
And to receive insights that don't just come from people your age,
Or people of one flavor.
This isn't talked about,
Really,
At all.
It's always coming back to you.
Oh,
You,
You figure it out.
You get up and try harder.
You,
You,
You,
You,
You.
And yes,
There's a place for that.
But so much of the sustained growth,
Love and strength comes from being with each other and being with each other in that process.
So even with the spiritual world,
Right,
Like I am a yoga teacher,
A meditation teacher,
I've been steeped in the language of the modern spiritual age for a long time.
Probably,
I don't know,
I'm sure people here have been here longer too,
But maybe eight,
Nine years.
And there's just so much language around heal your wounds so you can finally be in relationship.
You know,
Like,
Heal your traumas,
Fix yourself,
Sit longer,
Witness yourself longer.
You,
You,
You,
You,
You,
You,
You.
It matters.
It matters.
There's a place for it.
I found great realization and depth in my life through those practices.
So I'm not going to say that they don't matter.
But if that's all you do,
And that's all I did,
I pretty much locked myself in a room and tried to find myself by myself.
Not that it didn't provide certain benefits,
But it,
It leads to a lot of struggle and a lot of suffering because you don't actually get to heal or get to feel the joy and the depth that can be accessed when your healing involves relationship,
Group,
Community,
Song,
Dance,
You know,
Like expressions that require you to be witnessed.
A huge part of healing and,
And finding your way is,
Is being seen and being heard.
There was a lot of isolation in that time of my life when I only focused on myself,
My own healing,
My path,
My,
My,
My,
My,
All this.
No one witnessed,
No one saw.
And yes,
Growth happened,
But there was a lot to be,
To be left,
A lot left out.
Another thing that's,
That I feel the energy of right now and what we're in is the information age is at the tail end.
It's losing its flavor.
I'm not saying it's out.
I'm not saying it doesn't matter.
It's just,
It's,
It's,
It's leaving.
The idea of sharing content and catchy words and great catch phrases and six ways to change your life is starting to lose its flavor.
People,
I feel,
Don't have the space to take these things on and practically see changes in their life that makes sense for them from their journey.
It's almost like you're taking somebody else's life experience and trying to make it fit your own.
I've also shared in this space,
So I'm not saying it doesn't help.
It's helpful to hear stories and this stuff.
And I don't know if it's coming across the way I exactly want it to right now,
But we've lived in an age for a long time.
That's very focused on the rational mind.
The best words you can say,
The best way you can sound.
It's important,
But it's like your,
Your,
The way your mind works,
The way you think about things,
Logic,
Rationale,
Um,
Hyper focus on intelligence of the mind and no focus below the neck.
Um,
There's been a lot of focus on that.
And in the online world,
It's blown up through huge content creation,
Everyone saying their piece.
And I was a part of that years ago.
So I'm not saying that it's,
You know,
Like,
Um,
I'm a part of this disconnected from it,
Or there's not certain,
You know,
Um,
Good parts about that as well.
Um,
But it's getting to the point where people I sense are getting very sick of hearing just other people's words,
Other people's thoughts,
Other people's opinions about things.
It's not that it's a general thing.
It's great to take on certain people's opinions and thoughts of people that inspire you and you love their energy.
I'm not throwing,
Throwing it out the back door,
But I'm just saying the age of taking in all this information and being satisfied or believing that that information itself is going to actually change something is leaving.
It's on its way out.
People are losing interest in the rational thinking words.
People aren't even listening anymore to it.
Like people will say one thing and then everyone's like,
Like no one's actually really taking in words like they used to not,
Not all the time,
Not in every way.
It's hard to share language because every time you say something,
It has the,
Uh,
It's limited,
But,
Um,
All these words,
All these ways,
All these opinions,
All these judgments,
All this rationale is starting to lose interest.
And the focus is moving below the neck.
The focus is moving down.
It's moving to the subconscious is moving into the space that is felt.
That is where the interest is growing.
That's where all the interest is growing now.
So interest is growing in somatic healing,
Body breath,
You know,
Visions,
Dreams,
Like all the interest is moving away from the rational mind and towards the felt experience,
Towards feeling emotions,
Towards expressing primal energies,
Towards raw relating,
Towards like,
This is where things are moving.
Because of this,
People are becoming less satisfied and less trusting towards authority figures.
Authority figures were a part of the age that we are leaving.
So the age that we are leaving was about looking up to someone to take care of you,
Looking up to someone to meet your basic needs for you,
To provide you security,
To provide you safety,
To provide you food,
To provide you shelter.
And not that they're doing all those things well,
But there was this idea that like,
We can look up to this authority figure and they will take care of us and they will guide us.
And this is the general energy and we're going to be here and we're going to listen to what they have to say.
And then in exchange,
We're going to be safe and we're going to be okay.
That's moving out.
That's leaving.
And that I'd say at the foundation is what I feel is scaring the most shit out of everybody because we grew up in an age where we could feel like we could just rely on someone to take care of us if we did the right things.
It's starting to show its cracks and authority in general is losing its place and its importance and the energy that the collective used to give it.
The collective doesn't give it the same energy.
It's more lack of trust now,
Doubt.
There's a whole lack of trust around authority that's going on.
And so what that's opening the space for,
What we're moving into is kind of what I've been talking about in this talk is the space for relying on the collective to support each other.
So what does safety and security and foundation look like if it's me and my neighbors in my town,
Instead of what does safety and security look like when I look up to an authority figure?
It's completely different.
I understand that we live in a global society now,
Like a whole world is connected.
So there is a sense that,
Okay,
We need global,
Maybe country security and stuff like that.
And I understand that.
I don't know how things are going to move.
I can't predict the future,
But I feel the energy is moving towards this space of we are going to find the truth and the leadership and the light and the way and the direction through the eyes of each other in our specific unique spaces that we are located within the planet.
And that that might look different where I live based on where you live,
Because there's different needs and different truths and different things to be met based on the landscape or the environment or what's needed or what's,
You know,
We have,
It's an invitation to look at the space that no one wants to look at is in each other's eyes.
That's the invitation.
That's where we're moving.
That's where things are moving.
It's,
It's an invitation to put the power back in our hands.
We've been taught to look,
And it's important to receive this from other people,
I understand,
But we've been taught in a lot of ways to see a hierarchy between people or look at people,
You know,
And expect them to give us advice or a way and then we can figure it out.
And that's important.
I'm not gonna,
It's hard to,
It's important to have mentors and guidance and that sort of thing.
But at the expense of your power,
If you're just doing it to meet something to get where you want to be,
It's,
It's shifting,
I don't know if that's clear enough,
But we're kind of shifting away from that.
And we're shifting more into an energy of realizing that it's,
It's our actions and our personal power every single day that is actually going to make the difference,
Regardless of what other people say to us,
Regardless of what resonates and what doesn't resonate.
It's actually our individual choices and our power and our connection with each other and the decisions we make together that is going to move us forward.
It's not going to be in seeking for somebody or something else to outside of ourselves or outside of our even like direct sphere to give us insight that we can't find within each other.
So it's not,
I'm not throwing it out the back door.
It's important to get insight and energy from people that resonate with you,
But we're moving towards an energy where we're realizing that it's actually our one foot in front of the other,
That's going to create the world that we want to live in.
And it's actually us putting the,
You know,
Um,
The foot to the pavement or whatever it's called.
I think I'm saying it wrong.
And it's not going to be the four steps on Instagram that someone's trying to sell you.
That's what I'm trying to say.
The energy with all of this is people are disturbed.
We're in an insane amount of grief and shock.
The majority of the world is in shock right now.
And sometimes shock is not an embodied feeling because you're just kind of like frozen shock.
Huge emotions are moving because of this.
It's raw.
This is some of the rawest we've ever seen humanity and it does have a very negative tone and spin on it.
So it's very,
Very challenging.
It can be very disheartening.
The cap is off though,
And people aren't sitting silent anymore.
People aren't willing to bite their tongue anymore.
There is a good side to that,
That we're not letting ourselves be suppressed.
But the bad side of it is it's just,
It's,
It's a whole bunch of anger.
It's a whole bunch of grief.
It's a whole bunch of sadness.
It's a whole bunch of confusion.
And I mean,
What else can we expect after,
You know,
So much pent up stuff for so many years?
There's also the energies of just extreme negative forces all around us.
And the weight of it is heavy.
The energetic,
If I could see the energy of the world,
It's like a heavy gray fog.
It's dense.
And I personally don't believe that ignoring that is gonna provide relief.
I think it might just suppress the knowing that we are sitting in a very dark time.
It's beautiful to acknowledge our connection to people and our connection to love.
But it's important to,
I believe,
Look beyond the idea that we're all connected and also be aware of the negativity that's present and to be wise and smart about your boundaries and your decisions and how you're taking care of yourself and how you're spending your energy in this time and what is around you.
It's a time to be unapologetically strong about protecting your light and then in having that light around you,
Sharing it with the world.
And that's the courage.
I'm going to wrap this up by just saying that surrendering to the chaos,
The lack of trust,
The transitioning,
The lack of foundation and clarity in some ways,
That's something we have to surrender to because we're moving through an energy that's changing things.
But we can take courageous action as well.
And some of that courageous action looks like being very good about taking time to replenish and nourish yourself.
So whether that looks like alone time,
Practice time in yoga or whatever you do,
But a big part of that nourishment is good relationships with community,
With friends,
With family.
If you don't have any of that,
Looking for a space where you can feel that that lands.
So nourishment looks like cooking together,
Eating meals and feasts together,
Sitting around a fire with tea together,
Playing board games and laughing.
Nourishment,
Touch,
Good food,
Nourishing food,
Nature,
Music,
Creativity.
This is courageous action at this time.
Focusing on being a part of those experiences and also creating them in your life.
And if there's hesitancy,
I get it.
I also want to create these experiences and sometimes it's like,
Oh,
We're doing something that feels kind of unnatural because so many people are so individually focused and shutting down and caving up.
But opening those spaces for communal connection to start to move us towards the energy we're going to.
Focusing on joy,
Taking time for peace.
And if you have an insight or a knowing,
Or if you have someone that keeps popping into your mind that you're like,
I need to reach out to that person to see if they're okay,
Do it already and prioritize it already.
The task you're doing at hand is not as important unless you're with someone that is in a relational situation and you need to be there.
Work and these things and tasks are important,
But the main importance that needs to make it up to the top of the ladder that's been smushed to the bottom is relationship.
And a huge part of that is caring for each other,
Checking in with one another,
Inviting people over,
Creating nourishing experiences,
Finding your strength and your purpose and your identity and who you are and where you're going through the eyes of one another.
And if you only have one friend or you have three friends or you have two family members or you have 10 that you feel that way with,
Then focus on nourishing those connections and let the fear go of becoming closer to what feels good.
And together we will have more open connections and conversations there.
We'll encourage each other on our path and the best that you can possibly do to keep the noise at bay and keep the noise away.
That is very,
Very,
Very important because it will suck you down and take you away from being a part of this beautiful new potential of us coming closer together and seeing the real true gifts and healing expression of humanity that can happen when we reconnect.
And it's going to be a bit by bit process.
We're right at the beginning of it.
We're literally right at the beginning,
But we can all start in our own ways.
So I'll leave it at that.
