Guided meditation journey through the five elements in the body.

We will now go through a guided meditation for the five elements.

Let us begin.

Find a comfortable seated position on the ground or a similar hard surface.

If you prefer standing,

Also make sure you are standing firm on a hard surface.

Preferably,

Let us close our eyes and take a few deep breaths.

Let us invite all our attention inward.

Reel in all the cords of energy that may be scattered across time and space,

Past and future,

Our surroundings,

Back to us.

Invite all my energy back to me.

Here,

Let us just breathe at our own pace for a few moments.

Relax.

Present moment.

First element.

From bottom to top.

Earth represents our foundation.

Abilities that provide nourishment and anchor us in this world.

We'll now find our roots and firmly plant them in the ground.

As you are seated,

Start to feel your sit bones planted on the floor as if they are roots going deep into the ground.

If you are standing,

Then it is the soles of your feet.

Sway yourself slowly left and right between them,

Finding your center of gravity.

Feel the heaviness of your body,

Especially the heaviness of your bones.

Let us imagine the sit bones or your feet as point A.

The top of the spine on the crown of your head as point B.

Imagine the point B on the top of your head being suspended from the ceiling by a string.

Imagine point A at your sit bones being heavy and sinking down deep,

Deep in.

Try to separate point A from point B,

Thus lengthening your spine.

In the body,

Earth being the densest part,

Is stored in our bones.

Let us wake up the bones by knocking on them softly.

Let us make a soft fist and with the knuckles of your fingers,

Slowly tap your collarbone,

Then your shoulders,

Your elbow,

Pelvic bones,

Your spine,

Your ribs,

The middle of the chest,

Your jaw,

Your head,

Your knees,

Your shins,

Your ankle bone.

Use just enough pressure and bone-to-bone contact to feel them,

Yet not so hard as to hurt yourself.

Take long deep breaths in through the nose and exhale with the sigh.

All right.

Let us just breathe easily now.

Relax and feel into our bodies.

What is different?

What changes do you notice?

Just be present and aware of the change in emotions,

Character,

The temperature of your body,

Any tension or relaxation,

The overall energy of your internal world.

One floor up,

We arrive at the element of water,

Is our emotional body,

Our ocean of emotion,

Our currency of our current sea.

Earth is the structure that holds the water.

Now that we have established a safe container in the earth element,

We will begin to fill the container with water,

With fluid movements and feelings,

Keeping the earth grounded and firmly rooted.

Let us begin by gently swaying our spine side to side,

Front to back,

And then rotational,

Spiraling,

Twisting,

Flowing.

There's no right or wrong way to do this.

Fills any container and changes shape accordingly.

From here,

I want you to imagine any body of water that you hold dear.

It can be a lake,

The ocean,

A river,

Falling rain,

A waterfall,

Thunderstorm.

Try to mimic the movements as you visualize.

They can be flowing,

Crashing,

Spinning,

Diving,

Turning,

Overflowing,

Cruising,

Gliding.

Certain water is turbulent,

Other water is calm and serene.

Try and flow between different states of water to feel your emotional ocean shift between its waves.

Sometimes our internal ocean of emotion is calm,

Sometimes it is stormy,

But we know for sure is that it is always shifting and changing.

We can stay centered within it,

Knowing it will pass,

Observing,

Flowing.

Now,

Let us position our hands at heart level and start moving them horizontally as if we were swimming.

Imagine that you are standing in the ocean to the level of the heart.

Use your hands to stroke the surface of the water.

Feel the tension of the surface of the water as you use your fingertips to break the surface and then just submerge your palms down into the water.

As you move your palms and hands and arms now inside of water,

Feel the difference,

Feel the slight resistance that the water makes as opposed to what it was like moving your hands through air.

Water has mass and is therefore giving you a little bit of weight,

A little bit of resistance.

Try to feel that resistance as you move your hands through the air,

Imagining them just below the surface of the water,

Moving through the air as if air was a liquid,

As if our whole lives we are actually swimming.

Now,

Let's just relax,

Breathe easily now,

Feel into our bodies.

What is different?

What changes do you notice?

Just be present and aware of the change in your emotions,

Your character,

The temperature of your body,

Any tension or relaxation and overall energy of your internal world.

One level above from water is the air element.

Going up into breathing,

Your voice and sound.

We will begin by doing gentle spinal waves with our head rocking back,

Forth,

Up and down.

As you lift your chin,

Head goes up to breathe in.

Bend your spine,

Your head goes down.

As you get comfortable with this motion,

Add a small pause at the top and a small pause at the bottom.

The top pause infuse your eyes with curious character,

Like a small child viewing the horizon far,

Far in the distance for the first time ever.

As you feel this childlike curiosity in your eyes and in your body,

Proceed with the wave and then on the bottom of the wave,

Make a big smile to your heart with gratitude for this life and for being alive.

Flow up and down with the spine and with your head like that.

Inhaling up,

Pausing at the top,

Curious childlike eyes scanning the horizon for fresh inspiration.

On the inhale and then on the exhale,

Come down,

Pause at the bottom.

A big smile of gratitude,

Humility,

Reverence for life.

Let us flow here for.

.

.

Let us just breathe easily now.

Let us feel into our bodies.

What is different?

What changes do you notice?

Just be present and aware of your change in emotions,

Character,

The temperature of your body,

Any tension or relaxation,

The overall energy of your internal world.

One floor above air is the fire element.

Compassion,

Our vision,

Purpose,

Primal instinct,

Nature,

Intensity.

We'll begin by envisioning in our minds a powerful animal companion,

An animal that you really admire for its strength,

Prowess,

Resilience,

Honor,

Protection,

And style.

Is it a mighty jaguar stalking its prey in the jungle?

Is it a nonchalant lion chilling out while scanning its territory?

Is it a graceful hawk cruising above the horizon,

Above all the drama?

Is it a powerful elephant protecting its young ones?

Is it a swift stallion expressing its freedom through its strong legs?

As you choose and visualize your animal companion,

Embody their essence inside of your eyes.

Open your eyes and focus your gaze on a single point in front of your arms up in a V-shape,

As in victory.

Inhale and then relax.

As you exhale,

Slowly lower your arms to your abdominal area while squeezing the fists very tight.

Also tense up all the muscles in your body slightly.

As you do this,

Intensify your gaze,

Intensify your fiery essence that you have placed in your eyes,

And focus sharply on that one point.

And then as you exhale,

Release all the muscles,

Release your eyes,

And lift the arms again into the V-shape above you.

Let us flow through this movement for a few moments.

Feel the fire.

Feel your,

Feel your,

Feel,

Feel your protective nature.

Feel yourself transform.

Let us just breathe easily now.

Relax.

Feeling into our bodies.

What is different?

What changes do you notice?

Just be present and aware of the change in your emotions,

Your character,

The temperature within your body,

Tension or relaxation,

The overall energy of your internal world.

All right.

The final element is the glue that connects all the previous elements.

The final element is called ether.

It is known by many names.

Akasha,

Akashic Records,

Love,

Unity,

Oneness,

Universe,

God,

Life,

Gaia,

Mother,

Father,

Matrix,

Emania.

Ether is the invisible yet very real and felt matrix that connects all living beings through breathing,

Heartbeat,

And energy.

Let us start by centering ourselves in the earth element,

Slowly flowing and swaying in the water element,

Taking deep breaths for the air element,

And have a playful smile for the fire element.

As our awareness is anchored in our bodies,

We will take a small journey into the ether.

Start by feeling the shape of the room you are sitting in.

Feel your environment.

Feel the edges of the room.

Now start to expand your awareness to the house or building you are in.

Feel its mass.

Feel its weight.

Feel the empty space that it occupies within it.

Now start to expand it to your neighborhood.

How many houses are there?

How many buildings?

Acres of garden?

Now start to expand it on the city.

How many people are there?

How many dogs are strolling around?

How many trees are there?

How much space could all of this occupy?

Now try to imagine yourself.

How small you are compared to the entire planet and then the universe in its infinity.

Even though it seems so huge and vast,

All this space is not empty.

It is filled with life.

It is filled with meaning.

It is filled with love and connection.

Connection between all animals,

All humans,

All plants.

Ask yourself,

What do we all have in common with the lion,

With the elephant,

With the bees,

With the trees,

The whales,

With the octopus,

Corals,

Insects,

Grass,

Flowers,

Fruit?

If you remove your name,

If you remove your gender,

If you remove your age,

If you remove all of your clothes,

All of your possessions,

Your status in society,

Race,

Culture,

Your opinions,

Your preferences,

What is left?

The essence of you and all other living creatures in this world is the same.

You are included.

You are part of this world.

The earth is your family.

Feel into this.

As you breathe in and out,

Feel into this pulsation connecting you,

Reverberating within you,

Reverberating in every other living being.

You are included.

You are part of this world.

The earth is your family.

Now slowly come back into your body,

Anchoring yourself again in the earth,

In the water,

In the air,

In the fire.

Anytime you feel small and isolated,

You can venture into the ether to feel this connection.

On the other hand,

Anytime you feel overwhelmed by the connection with everything around you,

You can come back and anchor into your body to know who you are.

We are both this small identity as an individual and at the same time the big life that is breathing everything and we are breathing it.

Let us just breathe easily now.

Relax and feel into our bodies.

What is different?

What changes do you notice?

Just be present and aware of the change in your emotions,

In your character,

The temperature of your body,

Tension or relaxation,

The overall energy of your internal world.

You have integrated all the elements.

Let us say a few affirmations out loud.

A deep breath.

Repeat after me.

I am safe in my body,

Comfortable in my skin.

I belong here on this earth with everyone else.

I am part of this world.

I am made of this world.

I am a child of this life.

There is no pressure to rush.

There is no fear I cannot feel and release.

There are no emotions too great for my inner ocean to wash away.

I am inspired.

I am empowered.

I can speak my truth.

I can endure difficult times.

I have nothing to prove.

I'm here to love.

If I am love,

That is enough.

If I am love,

That is more than enough.

I don't have to be certain about anything.

I don't have to know all the answers.

This life is a great mystery.

I am here to feel and experience the human experience.

I'm grateful to be here.
