This is a guided affirmation meditation.

And before we begin,

Just wanting to acknowledge that you may find yourself here,

As you may be in the process of contemplating ending a pregnancy,

In the midst of ending a pregnancy,

Or having just ended a pregnancy.

And dealing with all of the thoughts,

Emotions,

And feelings that come with that,

And that decision.

Taking a moment to acknowledge that individuals decide to end a pregnancy for many reasons.

And no matter the journey that has brought you to this moment,

It is your moment to breathe and just be.

So as we begin this affirmation meditation,

Inviting you to find an area where you can experience quiet for the next few moments without distraction.

Finding you to find a position that best supports alert awareness and calmness.

Finding a position that is comfortable for you and best supports your body and your body's needs.

You may decide to lie down on a mat or in your bed,

Or you may decide to be in a seated position,

In a chair or on your cushion.

Taking a moment to select that space now.

Taking you to close your eyes if that feels comfortable for you.

If you would prefer not to close your eyes,

Just adopting a gentle downward gaze.

Perhaps looking ahead five or six feet in front of you at nothing in particular.

Noticing what's here in this moment.

Noticing any areas in the body where you may be holding stress or tension or unease.

And inviting you to attend to that area now with gentleness and curiosity and kindness and compassion.

And as we begin to enter into this affirmation meditation,

I will invite you to repeat these phrases silently to yourself as often as you would like,

But allowing for spaciousness and silence,

Honoring what is here,

Opening your heart space or your heart center for this time of self-care,

Self-love and self-compassion.

Taking a moment now to notice the breath,

The cadence,

The pace.

No need to alter or change it.

There's nothing that needs to be fixed.

Just noticing.

And repeating these phrases to yourself.

I have power and freedom over my own body.

My body is my own.

I am worthy.

I am brave.

I am strong.

I am resilient.

I am doing my best.

I am free from worry and regret.

I have all the strength and confidence within me that I need.

I am filled with love for myself.

I am in control of my decisions.

I receive healing in all areas of my life.

I am grateful for love in my life.

I am deserving of trust and loving kindness.

I am more and more calm with each breath.

With each passing moment.

With each passing day.

I embrace the freedom that is available to me in this life.

And as we end this meditation,

Taking a moment now to bring your awareness to what is here now,

That may be different or the same than when you began the meditation.

Honoring the strength and courage that it takes,

Or perhaps that it took,

To make the decision that you made.

There's no judgment.

You are in control.

In a moment you'll hear the sound of the bell.

I would invite you when you can no longer hear the sound of the bell,

To gently open your eyes in your own time and at your own pace.

May you be well.
