Heart Healing Through Himalayan Kriya
In this practice, we are using the powerful technique of Himalayan Kriya, intention, and breath. Let's work on the heart chakra to release emotional tension and, through love, open up the heart. I'm inviting you to step into the practice with all the freedom to let go.
Transcript
Hi,
My name is Evelina and I'm very happy to welcome you to this Himalayan Kriya practice for Heart Chakra.
Himalayan Kriya is a form of an active meditation.
I'm inviting you to step into the practice with open mind,
Open heart and a lot of freedom to express any emotion which may arise in you throughout the practice.
In this session we will be using our breath,
Our intention and certain Kriya techniques in order to tap into the emotions which are deeply connected with the state of our hearts.
Finding yourself in a comfortable seated position,
Ensuring that your spine is straight,
Your body relaxed.
We will begin by drawing awareness to the foundation of the spine and imagine that you are just rooting yourself from the tailbone all the way down,
Finding stability in your posture.
Then begin scanning upwards throughout your spine,
Vertebra by vertebra,
Finding more lengthening,
More space,
Reaching with your awareness all the way up till top of your head.
And with your next exhalation letting off any tensions from all your body.
Close your eyes.
Bring awareness into your breath.
We will be using deep diaphragmatic breathing,
What means we will be inhaling and expanding belly and chest,
Filling up your lungs entirely and then on the exhalation belly and chest will be coming back in and you try to empty your lungs as much as you can.
Following your own rhythm begin deepening your breath.
Let's begin using Ujjayi Pranayama.
So on every inhalation and exhalation generating a gentle sound coming from the back of the throat,
Sound which might remind you of a sleeping baby.
Listen to my breath and join me for a couple of breaths in here.
Continue your Ujjayi breath and now start intensifying the breath.
It might mean different things for different people.
Maybe you feel like breathing faster,
Maybe deeper,
Wherever it is for you just intensify it according to your needs.
Long straight spine all the way from your tailbone till top of your head.
Continue breathing intensely and at the same time roll your eyes upwards.
Imagine you are gazing towards the top of the brain right into the spot in between your eyebrows area.
Let's stay here for 3 more intense Ujjayi breaths and then inhale as deeply as you can,
Hold your breath for a moment,
Eyes rolled up,
Spine straight.
Exhale all the way out.
From the moment of stillness and become present with your body,
With your emotions.
Start working on the heart chakra.
Expand your chest opening it up.
Begin breathing once again using our Ujjayi breaths.
Imagine that every inhalation fills up your heart,
Your chest entirely.
Every exhalation is a complete let go.
Throughout the heart Kriya we will be breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the mouth with the side out.
Let's begin,
Inhale deeply into the heart space.
Exhale letting go a side out through your mouth.
Keep going with your own rhythm.
Drawing full awareness to your heart and directing your breath into your heart.
Now expanding your chest a little more and begin tapping with your palms all over the area of your chest.
You may be tapping with your open palms or with your fists,
Tapping all over wherever your intuition brings you in the area of your chest.
Every inhalation fill up your chest,
Every exhalation let go.
Releasing without holding back.
If you feel like making some kind of sound a side out,
Just free yourself completely and breathe out any tensions,
Any heaviness from the area of your heart.
Let's begin working with intention for the heart chakra.
Heart chakra which is naturally a space of unconditional love.
If you ever went through different traumas which made you feel that your heart is blocked,
Which made you feel fear,
Which made you be scared,
Afraid to open up,
To express your feelings,
To express your love,
Set up intention to let go of it and to not carry your past traumas,
Your past pains into your today's life.
Do not allow your past pains to block you from living freely,
From living fully today,
From loving openly and enjoying life and connecting with the world around you.
Keep exhaling intensely through the mouth.
Now let's add to this Kali Mudra what means we will stick the tongue out and on the exhalations just breathe out any impurities from the area of the heart.
From going tongue stick out and exhale intensely through the mouth,
Allowing yourself a side out,
We'll stay here for 15 more breaths,
Releasing any past pains,
Any blockages from the area of the heart,
Letting go of sadness,
Letting go of anything what you really wish to let go from your heart in order to free it more.
Action for balance of giving and receiving,
To be able to give love to others but also to receive it back.
Three more breaths,
More release.
Last breath breathe out as fully as you can and slow down your tapping.
Simply place your palms on the center of your heart,
Calm down your breath and stay still for a moment,
Observing wherever is right there in the center of your heart.
Thank you.
Slowly release your palms down to your knees or wherever it feels comfortable.
Take a moment to stay in silent stillness.
Begin bringing awareness back to your body,
Back to your breath,
Back to your spine and back to your heart.
Take a long deep inhalation expanding your chest,
Your belly.
Exhale entirely all the way out.
Once again draw awareness into the center of your heart and visualize light shining bright inside of your heart center.
The light which is symbolizing this unconditional love which as I mentioned is a natural state of our hearts.
Visualize that light expanding,
Shining with more power,
More energy.
Pick up your heart with feeling of acceptance,
With love,
With forgiveness,
With gratitude,
With joy,
With patience,
With surrender.
Slowly bring your palms in front of your heart center in a gesture of gratitude,
Of appreciation for all the small and big things which we tend to take for granted in our daily lives.
Gratitude for every experience,
For every lesson,
For every beautiful and every challenging moment.
Gratitude for this who you are today.
Once again take a moment to reconnect with that love coming from your heart.
Let's remember that this love is always there and once we feel it so deeply for ourselves,
Once we start to spread it towards our beloved ones,
Towards everything and everyone around,
This love only multiplies.
Slowly rub your palms warming them up and then place your palms on the center of your heart.
Sending all that good energy to yourself.
Slowly open your eyes and touch through all your body with lots of gratitude and love.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
