Welcome to this breathwork journey.

You may wish to lay down and get comfortable.

A bed,

A couch,

Supporting yourself with blankets and bolsters is a wonderful way to snuggle down as if you are in a nest.

We're practicing deep belly breathing for this breathwork journey.

There's over 20 plus ways and probably more that I personally know how to teach and facilitate.

Each are powerful in their own way.

And at the same time,

Taking deep belly breaths at any time,

Whether we're working or driving,

It's a powerful transformative practice.

Before you lay down,

And maybe you're already there,

It doesn't matter,

Wherever you are,

Place your hands on your belly,

Fully inflate into your hands.

And feel the belly also in your exhale,

Surrendering and falling back to source.

Practice this a few times,

Getting as full and deep in your breath as you can.

When our breathing is correct,

We cannot physiologically be anxious,

Stressed,

Upset or agitated,

Low vibrational emotions cannot exist when we are breathing correctly.

If you're sitting up still,

I invite you to lay down,

Continue to breathe.

And as you do inhale,

Create more space.

And atomically when we breathe,

We aren't sucking in air,

We are just making space.

Our diaphragm drops,

Our heart lifts,

Our lungs expand and we are then breathed.

The better question to ask is how much space am I creating to be breathed?

Where are you constricted?

Where are you holding on or clenching in your breath or in your body?

Send breath to cessation.

Send breath into every cell and every fiber of your being.

At any time your hands can rest on your belly,

You can return to filling your hands and fully inflating,

Creating as much space as you can on the inhale.

Return to source on the exhales.

Some people like to count 5-6 counts on the in breath and 5-6 counts on the out breath.

Counting may feel like it anchors you or you can let go and just breathe full and deep.

If you haven't already closed your eyes,

Close down your eyelids,

Allow your eyes to rest in their helmets.

Release from head to toe.

Release through your scalp.

Smooth out your forehead.

Widen your eyebrows out toward your temples.

Relax even your ears and inner ears as you feel.

Your ears hearing,

Soft jaw,

Body is held and supported by what is beneath you.

And create more space at the top.

Release something else,

Something more completely at the bottom.

Just this breath.

Just this moment.

Allowing yourself to be completely held.

You are safe.

You are supported.

If you have an intention for this breath journey,

Allow it to arise.

Weave it in to your body,

Your breath,

Your being.

Imagine this breath journey is taking you on a path.

Path to a place you've always wanted to go.

The deeper,

Fuller,

Slower you breathe,

The better this journey feels.

If any unpleasant emotions or sensations arise,

Just observe and witness and let them be on their way.

Imagine that with you on this journey,

You have a basket of diamonds.

In your breath is shining your diamonds.

How much more space in your body can you create to be breathed?

What have you been resisting that you can soften towards?

What fluctuations of your mind can you bring into calm and stillness?

Imagining your mind like a lake that has gone from turbulent,

Choppy water to crystal clear,

Flat,

Calm,

Like a mirror,

Perfectly reflecting truth.

If you've gone somewhere,

Return to your breath,

Charging your breath with prana,

Life force energy,

Sending that prana and breath into your body to heal,

To cleanse,

To renew,

To brighten,

This breath invoking whatever is sleeping and dormant.

Whatever rises,

Breathe into it,

Lean into it.

Just keep breathing full,

Deep belly breaths.

The breath is the only goal.

Feel yourself being showered with angelic light energy,

The deeper,

Fuller you breathe,

The more light and angelic energy you can feel blessing you.

Breath is life.

Breath is sacred.

When you're born,

The breath is the first thing you take when you enter this world and your exhale breath is the last when you exit this life.

Breath is life.

Breathe even deeper,

Creating more space as you breathe more fully into life.

Breathe into the back of your heart,

Your center of self love.

Breathe out into your sides.

Breathe outward in all directions at once.

Be here now.

As any thoughts arise,

Allow them.

Like clouds passing in the sky,

Without attachments,

Just watch them float by as you focus on soften,

Open,

Surrender.

Check in with your belly,

Full,

Deep belly breaths,

Fully rounding and inflating your belly on the inhale.

If your mouth is closed,

Open your mouth.

Breathe in and out through an open mouth,

Allowing any audible sounds or noise to escape just this breath.

Where can you soften?

Where can you peel away another layer of the onion?

The layers of the onion are your mind body,

Your spirit body,

Your energy body,

Your emotional body.

Peel away another layer and release it through exhale.

Your face be so relaxed that it feels as though your eyebrows could slide right off and onto the floor.

Feel how good it feels to be alive,

To breathe so fully and completely in this way.

Breathing in prana,

Life force energy.

Breathing and sending prana through all of your energy lines,

All of your chakras,

All of the fibers of your being.

Imagine now you're coming to the base of a mountain.

You're about to make this climb as you look up and continue to breathe.

You are never meant to carry the mountain on your shoulders.

You're only meant to climb it.

What does this mountain represent in your life?

What current obstacle or challenge are you moving through?

Let this mountain be symbolic of this,

That you are moving through.

Continue to breathe as you feel into this obstacle.

You may wish as we move into this next song and make this climb up the mountain,

You may wish to increase the pace of your breath or even move your body or rock or shake along with the pace of your breath.

Continuing now with trust,

Knowing you're supported,

Knowing the breath is infusing your journey and supporting you.

Let us begin the climb.

To begin to climb the mountain,

You look up and see a sun shining down onto the tip of the peak.

Again,

Welcoming deeper,

Faster breathing,

Mouth open,

Still breathing with your belly,

Effortlessly taking one foot,

One step in front of the other.

Trusting this obstacle is for your highest good.

This is not happening to you,

It's happening for you.

What did you come here to learn?

How is this obstacle greeting you as a gift?

A gift to grow,

A gift to forgive,

A gift to surrender,

To open,

To be vulnerable,

To feel.

You feel yourself,

See yourself nearing the top with this beautiful sun shining down on you as you continue to breathe.

Lead into it,

Breathe into it.

Feel it all,

Whatever is here for you,

Feel it all.

Commit to this breath.

You're at the top,

Feel the sun shining down on you,

Illuminating you with divine grace,

With light,

Renewal,

Joy,

Hope,

Abundance.

Whatever it is you wish to receive,

Lift your arms into the air,

Palms facing up and receive all that you wish to receive,

All that you want out of this life.

Feel it shining down through you,

Into you,

Through the light.

All you have to do is breathe and everything will come into alignment,

Everything will flow for you with ease,

Without effort.

Just breathe and receive.

Be here now in this moment.

Still feeling all the blessings shining down on you,

Feeling what you feel here at the top of the mountain.

Still breathing fully,

Deeply.

Maybe you rest here,

Maybe you sit down or lay down.

Just bask in the sun soaking up its healing grace,

Feeling God-light,

Source energy,

Feeling it in you as you allow yourself to release,

Release this scene,

Release your breath.

Much like Shavasana,

If you are familiar with yoga at the end of the class,

Just laying here for the next few minutes in stillness,

Just letting go in the breath,

Natural breath,

Without thought,

Allowing yourself to integrate,

To receive all the benefits of the practice.

Quieting down,

Being held,

Cradled,

Just be.

Thank you for embarking on this breathwork journey with me today.

You may wish to lay here a little while longer,

Or you may wish to begin to bring movement back into your body,

Wiggling fingers,

Wiggling toes.

Maybe you stretch like you're waking up the first time,

Or waking up after a nap.

Stretch and move,

Find your way onto your favorite side,

Curled up in the fetal position,

And just remain here allowing yourself a few more moments of restoration.

I wish you much beauty,

Blessings,

And abundance for the rest of your day,

And into the days and weeks and months and years that follow.

I hope you return to this practice over and over again,

And I hope and wish for you that you make breathwork an everyday ritual.

Maybe when you wake and go to sleep,

Maybe carving out time specifically for it,

But definitely breathing fuller and deeper all day.
