What a beautiful,
Beautiful day.
Such gratitude that God woke me today,
That I get to be here on this planet,
In this vessel,
As this channel,
As this conduit.
And I get to experience this life another day.
God has gifted me with new breath,
With a new day,
And with another opportunity to practice prayer,
To practice meditation,
To practice journaling,
To practice being human,
To practice being kind and patient and compassionate and loving and tender,
With myself first,
So that it may ripple into how I treat others.
So very grateful this morning.
This morning I'm going to speak about how does God see you.
When God,
Spirit,
The universe,
The cosmos,
Beauty,
Love,
Intelligence,
When that divine supreme power looks at you,
What does Spirit see?
But first we're going to open up the space with a few moments of silence,
Paying homage to those who have come before us,
To our ancestors,
And also paying homage to the presence of the one living Spirit,
The one living God,
The creator of all of creation.
We're going to open up the space with a few moments of silence,
Connecting to the breath.

Spirit.
And thank you to each and every one of you who honored the space with some silence.
As always,
We open the prayer with gratitude,
Because without gratitude,
What do we have?
If we are unable to find one,
Two,
Three,
Seven things to be grateful for,
Then we need to sit a bit longer.
So this morning I wanted to discuss how does God see you?
When Spirit looks at you,
When the universe,
When the cosmos,
Whatever you choose to call God,
When Spirit looks at you,
What is seen?
And I'm here to tell you what is seen.
What is seen is that you are a unique expression.
You have a uniqueness that no one else does.
There are close to 8 billion people on this planet,
And that is your superpower,
Because you have a specific uniqueness.
You have a specific pattern,
A specific beauty about you that no one else does.
That is what Spirit sees,
Because Spirit only knows its own perfection.
And God is always,
Because it is infinite,
Because it is limitless,
Spirit is always going to seek to express itself in a different form and fashion through you,
Because that is the way you were designed.
You are uniquely different than me.
I am uniquely different than you and our parents and our children and our neighbors and our co-workers.
So when you look in the mirror,
It is time to start looking through the prism and the lens that God sees you.
You are an eternal being,
Which means when you are no longer here in this physical form,
You continue to live on.
You will continue to express yourself in a uniqueness and in a way that only you can.
God doesn't judge you.
God doesn't look at you and account for all of the mistakes or all of the acts or all of the things that you've done.
No.
Spirit sees itself in human form.
God sees itself in human form as you.
So all the times that you are blaming and shaming and guilting yourself and judging yourself,
That's something that you are inflicting upon yourself,
Because God's Spirit,
The universe doesn't do that.
Spirit is an unconditional lover of itself.
So that means God is an unconditional lover of you because you are an expression of itself.
You are an iteration of itself,
An emanation of itself,
Of a divine expression.
So it's time to release the shame,
Release the blaming,
Release the guilt.
If someone is judging you,
They are simply judging a part of themselves that they don't like.
That is where we hold the space for compassion.
That is where we hold the space for understanding and for kindness.
You know,
I listened to something this morning by Nikki Harris,
And she speaks about using the elevator to drop down into your heart.
And then you just press that button and you go there every day.
Thank you,
Spirit,
For any perceived distraction,
Because we know that you are in everything.
So using that elevator,
Pressing that button to drop down into your heart and staying there,
And we do that every day.
And sometimes we may need to do that multiple times a day to drop down into our hearts.
God wants us to live a heart centered life,
Not in the mind.
The mind is beautiful and it's genius.
But when we live from the heart and we live a heart centered life,
Everything is different.
So are you willing to look at yourself and see yourself the way that God sees you?
Are you willing to release the blame,
The shame,
The judgment,
The guilt?
Are you willing to do so?
Are you willing to release the patterns,
The behaviors,
The habits to create a new paradigm,
To create a paradigm of unconditional love,
To create a paradigm of unconditional patience,
To be in a position where you are raw and tender?
The book that I recently read,
The Shambhala,
The Sacred Path of the Warrior,
Talks about how the warrior knows that his or her heart is going to be broken over and over and over again,
And that they welcome that so that they may continue to be raw and tender down to the bone marrow.
Now,
The heart is a muscle,
So technically it cannot be broken.
It can be strained and it can also be strengthened.
And even in that strain,
God is there,
Spirit is there,
Strength is provided.
So what are you willing to do to look at yourself the way that God sees you?
We have to continuously rewrite our story and change the stories that we tell ourselves.
Because this society,
The media,
The news outlets,
Social media,
A lot of it,
Not all of it,
Hear me loud and clear,
A lot of it,
A lot of social media,
A lot of the media,
A lot of society,
Not all of it,
A good amount of it,
Will have you thinking that you are not worthy,
That you need to compete and compare yourself.
We have 14 year olds out here committing suicide because they don't feel safe to fully be themselves and express themselves.
We have people in their teens,
20s,
30s,
Even in their 60s,
Taking their own life because they don't see themselves the way that God sees themselves,
The way that God sees them.
So who has to be that change?
You have to be that change.
We can't keep putting the blame,
The shame,
The guilt on our parents,
On the person that physically,
Sexually,
Emotionally,
Or mentally abused us as a child.
We can't continuously use the excuse of my culture,
My religion,
This,
That,
X,
Y,
Z.
When are you going to take accountability for your life?
Because you chose to come here.
You wrote on the dotted line,
You signed the sole contract to come here.
So let us start seeing ourselves the way that God sees us.
When God looks at us,
Spirit smiles.
Spirit is in all of its creation,
In each and every one of us,
Regardless of how we look,
Regardless of the money,
Regardless of any accolade.
There's no such thing as I will be happy when.
I will be joyous when I have this amount of money,
When I have this accolade,
When I meet this person,
When I get married,
When I have the child,
When I purchase the house,
When I move out of the country.
God doesn't operate like that.
God is a presence that is in the presence and the fullness right now.
Right now.
You get to be in joy right now.
You get to be in thanksgiving right now.
You get to pray right now.
You have breath in your lungs right now.
You're alive all as well.
Continue to surrender and turn it over to God.
How are you willing to see yourself the way that God sees you?
What are you willing to do?
What do you what stories do you need to let go of?
What patterns and scripts are you willing to let go of?
What do you need to let go of?
God looks at you and smiles.
God looks at you and is in constant awe of you because you are an expression of Spirit.
God is alive.
God is moving.
God is patient.
God is kind.
God is in the silence,
The stillness,
The movement,
The action,
The sight beyond sight,
The sound beyond sound.
Let us normalize whatever the word normal means to you.
Let us normalize loving on ourselves.
Society will tell you that that's selfish.
Be selfish.
Be selfish.
I encourage you to be selfish,
To love on yourself in a manner and in a way that you've never have before.
If you feel that you were emotionally or mentally neglected as a child,
Be the parent that you needed.
Learn to re-parent yourself.
Read a new book.
Journaling is so important because it allows us to get our thoughts,
Our feelings and emotions out in a way where it's just a conversation between you and God.
You don't have to verbalize it.
You can take pen to paper,
Pencil to paper or use your laptop.
The sun will shine.
The moon will appear.
The stars will illuminate the night sky without you having to do anything.
So how does God see you?
Let us start to live from that reverential tone.
God loves me unconditionally.
God woke me today.
Spirit put breath in my lungs.
Spirit is operating my organs.
Spirit is moving the blood through my veins.
Spirit created the fibers and the molecules and the cells in my being and knows every single cell,
Fiber and molecule of my being.
God knows me by name.
God beats my heart.
God has placed every hair follicle on my body to protect me.
God has provided me with a sixth sense,
Which is the intuitive nature,
Which gives me intuition and wisdom and discernment.
Let me start utilizing that power.
God,
Thank you for seeing me with infinite potential.
Spirit,
Thank you for providing me with infinite love.
Let me continue to press that button on the elevator and drop into my heart.
No matter how many times I have to press that button on the elevator throughout the day,
I will continue to drop into my heart.
So,
God,
In this moment,
I thank you.
I am in gratitude for you and your presence in my life and my heart,
Knowing that the truth of my being is the same truth of every being walking the planet.
Knowing that you are in the plants,
You are in the trees,
You are in the flowers,
You are with every blade of grass,
With every corn stalk,
With every fruit tree.
You operate in every manner.
You don't give yourself to us in pieces.
You are available to us all of the time.
So I recognize in this moment,
God,
It is only you and I am grateful to know you.
I know that we are united in your front,
In your presence,
And I recognize in this moment that I don't need to be or do or have any specific thing.
I realize that you give yourself to us freely,
Undeniable access.
And so we give thanks.
We give thanks for this moment.
We give thanks for this beautiful morning.
We give thanks for the sunshine piercing through the windowpane.
As my brother would say,
Thank you for the moon that waxes and wanes.
Thank you for the rest that he's getting right now.
Thank you for the joy that you present in our hearts.
Let us continue to press that button on the elevator.
Let us drop into our hearts as often as we need.
What are you willing to do so that you see yourself the way that God sees you?
Be selfish.
Learn to care for yourself in brand new ways.
You are worthy.
You are whole,
Full and complete as you are.
It's fine that you're healing.
We're always healing.
We're always learning.
We're always transitioning.
Spirit,
God has your next iteration available waiting for you.
But you need to be an active participant in your life.
You need to be an active participant in you being accountable,
In you being responsible for your wellness,
For your health,
For your mental,
Emotional,
Physical,
Financial,
Relational health.
Nobody owes you anything and you don't owe anybody anything.
So when you choose to show up for someone,
Do it from your heart.
Do so because you want to and you desire to,
Because you know that it's pleasing God.

I release this prayer by saying,
And so it is because it already is.
It's already done.
God is God from the beginning,
The middle and the end,
Because there is no end.
Life is eternal.
And you get to continuously express yourself in that eternality.
You have infinite potential.
What are you going to do with it?
When are you going to start seeing yourself the way that God sees you?
This is my challenge to you today.
