This is a meditation for grounding after emotional or energetic overexposure.
Begin by settling your body into a comfortable position.
Let your spine be straight.
Let yourself be supported by the surface beneath you.
Notice where your body makes contact.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in through your nose.
And a steady exhale out through your mouth.
Once again,
Breathing in.
Slightly longer,
Easy breath in through your nose.
And taking your time as you release that breath through your mouth.
Breathing in through the nose.
Slow,
Easy breath.
And a steady exhale out through your mouth.
This meditation is for moments after intensity.
After emotional exchange,
Stimulation,
Or simply holding more than usual.
You do not need to revisit what happened in this meditation.
The body already knows.
Bring your awareness now to the center of your body.
To the space along your spine.
The main energetic column in the body.
And as you bring your awareness here.
Notice,
Start to feel as though you're gathering yourself back into the present moment.
And as you breathe in,
Call that in.
Call your energy.
Call your awareness here and now.
And as you breathe out.
And as you breathe in,
Start to imagine as you release the breath.
The energy that may be excess in your body is beginning to move downward.
Beginning to move down towards the earth.
Inhaling,
We're coming present.
Calling ourselves into this moment.
Exhale,
Start to imagine gravity gently drawing excess energy downward.
Through the legs.
Through the feet.
And just allow that excess energy to be released from your body and released from your field into the earth below.
There is no rush with this process.
Take your time.
With each inhale,
Call your awareness here.
And with each exhale,
Allow stimulation to settle.
Breathing in more of you coming here and now.
Breathing out,
Releasing excess energy and allowing the edges of your awareness to soften.
Stay here for a few more breaths.
As you inhale,
Coming present.
Coming to the center of your body.
The center of you.
And as you exhale,
Just let anything that's ready to be released move down through your body,
Move down through your field,
And out through your feet into the earth.
Easy breath.
Simply allowing the breath to be a metaphor for cleansing and renewal,
For release and healing.
Taking a little bit more time on the inhalation.
Breathing in through your nose.
And as you exhale,
Take a little bit more time there,
Too.
And as you release the breath,
Let it also be a release of anything that's ready to leave your field.
And speaking of your field,
Connect to the edge of your energetic field.
Where the rest of the world begins and where you end.
And just imagine this egg-shaped energetic field every inhale calling you home,
Calling you here and now.
And every exhale,
Whatever's in the field and in your body is just being pulled down and being released through the bottom of your field into the earth.
Feel the steadiness of being here,
Being present.
Inhale,
Calling all of you here.
Exhale,
Let it be a release,
Whatever's ready to go.
Doesn't need to be named,
It can just be released.
As we stay here for a few more rounds of breath,
Just let the breath do whatever it naturally wants to do.
If it wants to slow,
Let it.
And if the body wants stillness,
Honor that.
And just rest now for a few breaths in this grounded state.
Staying here for as long as you need,
As long as you'd like.
And when you are ready,
Just gently begin to return your awareness into your physical body.
As you open your eyes,
Return your awareness outward as well.
And set the intention to carry this sense of stability with you out into your world,
Out into your day.
Blessings and love.
