Take up a comfortable seated position with a straight back,
Shoulders relaxed,
And hands resting on your knees or upper legs.
Really close your eyes.
And then very consciously relax your forehead.
Move it out.
All the wrinkles and worries.
And let this relaxation float down your face,
The tissue around the eyes,
Your cheeks.
And take a moment to relax your jaw especially.
Let the relaxation flow down through the body.
Taking a special moment to relax the belly area.
Gently lower it to rise with the inhale.
Soften on the exhale.
Let the relaxation flow through your buttocks,
Pelvic area,
And the legs out through your feet.
And check your posture.
Make any changes you would like to make without losing the straight back to make yourself comfortable.
Place head straight on neck,
Chin slightly tucked in so the crown of your head is pointing towards the ceiling.
Bird Eye Chakra Meditation.
The sixth chakra is all about intuition and wisdom.
And it is located between our eyebrows.
Whatever so,
Gently roll up your eyes on the inside of your eyelids to look up towards this point.
Connecting with your third eye.
Connecting with your intuition.
And just notice whatever comes up at the moment.
Try to keep your focus and eyes on the third eye.
Make sure you're not straining your eyes.
If it's uncomfortable,
Feel free to release at any time.
And let your intuition speak to you.
You have a choice to release the eyes,
Or if you like you can try and keep them focused on the third eye.
Don't worry,
You will be doing other things if you lose focus for the moment.
That's fine.
Towards the end of the meditation,
We will revisit.
And a breathing exercise to open the third eye chakra is the alternate nostril breathing.
In preparation,
Place your index and middle finger of the right hand on your forehead.
Just above your third eye.
Let your left hand rest in your left.
We'll do a normal inhale.
And then completely exhale.
And then you close your right nostril with your right thumb.
And you inhale only through the left nostril.
Full inhalation.
Close the left nostril with your finger and open the right as you exhale through the right nostril.
Without making changes,
Inhale through the right nostril.
Close it.
Open the left.
Inhale through the left.
Starting a new cycle,
Inhale through the left.
Close the left nostril.
Open the right.
Exhale through right nostril.
And then inhale through right nostril.
Close the right.
Open the left.
Exhale.
Continue in your own tempo.
Never do this longer than five minutes.
Of course,
I'll monitor the time today.
And always finish with an exhale through the left nostril.
Close it.
Notice any differences between left and right.
Any point you feel uncomfortable,
Just finish with an exhale through the left nostril and continue your normal breathing.
One more minute of alternate nostril breathing.
So do one or two cycles in your own tempo.
Finish the cycle that you are in with that exhale through the left nostril.
Then release your hands.
Take a moment to return to your normal breath.
Observe your normal breath.
The air flowing in and out of your nostrils.
The color of this chakra is indigo and the element is light.
And like light,
It brings understanding.
The animal,
The totem,
Is the hawk,
Who soars high above it all,
Is able to see the bigger picture.
It's also associated with guidance,
Imagination,
Trust,
Intellect.
And as I said,
This chakra is the house of wisdom,
Intuition.
When it's blocked,
You may find that you have trouble sleeping,
Problems with decision-making,
A lack of imagination,
Poor memory,
And frequent headaches.
And overthinking,
Worrying,
Would be a psychological symptom that you are not strongly connected with your intuition.
And take a moment for reflection.
You may have recognized some of those symptoms or maybe none.
But how do you feel you use your intuition?
Do you let yourself be guided by it?
Or do you often dismiss it?
Retinalize it away.
Watch your relation with your intuition.
And if you feel you've not been listening to your intuition as much,
What may be holding you back?
Now would be the time to start looking up towards your third eye again,
On the insides of your eyes.
Lingering over the questions.
Do you let yourself be guided by your intuition?
And if not,
Why not?
What does your intuition say in reply to those questions?
And just be aware,
Do not judge yourself.
See this as a moment to reconnect if you need to.
Keep looking up at your third eye if it's comfortable.
And we will say an affirmation to ourselves.
You can just listen to me reading the affirmation or you can say it aloud or in your head to yourself.
And after the affirmation,
Please join me in chanting Aum and I'll demonstrate first after the affirmation.
Strong focus on the third eye.
As you say to yourself,
I am connected to myself.
I know I am always guided.
I make decisions with ease and grace.
I accept and trust the path that I'm on.
I let my intuition be my guide.
Aum Deep inhale and on your exhale,
You chant Aum.
Feeling the vibration in the mouth,
Throat.
Repeat up to three times if you like.
Make it as loud and long as you want.
And release everything,
Including the eyes turned upwards.
Feel the whole body.
Observe the body,
The mind.
If you like,
Remain seated for a little while longer with eyes closed.
You need to start or continue your day.
Take some time to gently open the eyes and even with open eyes,
Remain seated just for another minute.
Ease yourself into the day.
And let your intuition play a role.
And with it throughout this day or the next.
I say my farewell.
Namaste.
