
Morning Meditation For Parents

A meditation for parents after the kids leave for school or are taking a nap. This meditation will help bring a focused and passionate energy for the day. We build up heat inside and explore our passions and what our dream-driven life looks like away from the need to do's that society and parenting put on us.

Good morning,
Our children just left for school or just dropped off Now it's time for us to take time for ourself usually when we Leave our children.
We're ready to go go go because we have so much to do I'm there with you.
We have so much to do but it's so important that we take this time the time between dropping our children off in between doing That we recapture Our own energy and what I mean by that is the morning is so chaotic and frenetic That we are intertwining our energy with our children's theirs is intertwining with ours and we become this very chaotic person that we may not be So it's important that we come back to ourselves and tap into our own energy in this moment between Drop off or leaving your children and doing that's we're gonna do right now So stand up And let's just start shaking out some of our limbs Shake out your arms legs Let your hands be soft and feet be soft like kind of like you're ragdolling a little bit Just shake out that Abundance of energy that we received from our children this morning Maybe you can Drop or roll your shoulders a little bit.
You store a lot of tension there or just roll your neck around to open that up Even shake your your hips a little bit You store a lot in our pelvis When you feel when you feel ready come find a nice Comfortable seat.
You don't have to be upright and rigid.
You can be relaxed a little reclined if you want to be maybe put a blanket on and make yourself feel nice and cozy and warm and we're going to just come to the top of our head and Start to feel Down our body in a body scan and start sensing for other places where this chaotic energy might be stored in us Just start slowly moving down your face let your eyes relax Let your mouth and jaw relax Move down to your neck your shoulders just let them kind of drop Down your chest So it all of it relax Down your belly Into your seat Down your legs slowly just relaxing every little muscle And out your feet Just let it feel like the cushion or chair is holding you Hmm And we might have this like doing energy inside of us right now.
Maybe you felt it Where you feel like you just have to go We have so much as parents on our plate and that's okay Because this energy helps us go Helps us achieve helps us Be there for our family for our job,
But right now we don't need that But it feels like this energy is inside of you and you can't You know help calm it down then just feel like you're opening middle of your body like a door like two big doors and Let this energy just jump out of you this needing to do energy jump out and run around the room Clean the dishes make the bed go to work.
Whatever needs to be done.
Let it go do it We're gonna stay right here and sit here Just let it go And watch it as it feels like it's achieving We're not letting it go and like a sense of that.
We're Mad at it in like a sense of hey,
Thank you.
Like if you need to do Please go And then we come back to our body In this meditation we're gonna be doing a pranayama breath That's a clearing fiery breath It helps us warm our body up brings focus and attention and will help us get back into our own energy our own life force It's a deep inhale You fill your belly all the way up and a deep long exhale where you totally Release all the air out your nostrils The one difference of this is it feels like when you're breathing out It feels like you are holding some of the air back in your throat like you're constricting it so I'll do it once and you'll hear the sound and Then we'll do it together.
So it's a deep inhale And then exhale Almost making the sound with your third as you're constricting the air a little bit through so let's practice together deep inhale Fill your belly and then a deep exhale out through the nose Again If the constricting is too much for you you can just do a regular Deep inhale through your nose and exhale through your nose and you have to do the constricting part from your throat But could just continue to do that right now and we're gonna just this kind of is gonna bring some some Rigidity to our day It's gonna bring some form to our day from what might feel like a formless chaotic morning with our children running around getting them out of the house It's gonna bring some intention to our day It's also bring some fire.
You might start feeling yourself warming up a Fire in your belly and your soul As you continue this breath The sound may get louder as the air leaves your nose As you breathe out and that's just the fire inside of you continuing to build and build it's that fire of passion the fire of intensity We have so much Intention inside of us like just innate Knowing inside of us of what we want to do each day It gets so clouded as being parents all the have to do's and should do's Sometimes it comes out as feeling like guilt We also need to learn Learn to understand our own passion our own purpose and Live and live this idea of a dream driven life.
I call it and starts with recapturing these times In the morning after our children leave our house to go to school Where after they take a nap?
We're after any kind of separation and also at night after we put them to sleep But this right now is a morning Separation we're building our own energy up.
We're building our own passion.
We're tapping into This idea of our dream driven life.
How do we want to live each day?
Not how we should but how do we want to?
And this deep Breath is cleansing our body It's separating our children's energy from ours.
Let them be them We Can be separate from them right now and let us be us right now tap into all that power inside of us that we have All that passion It's not forgotten.
It's never forgotten.
It's always there hidden and buried and this is our time to free it Free it up.
So we're going to continue this breath for about 30 more seconds Just feel that cleansing action As you inhale that new fresh oxygen into your body And breathe out that old stale Chaotic energy As we bring a focused passionate intention to our day And Then take one more breath and then we're just gonna at the end after your exhale.
We're just gonna let it go We're gonna come in into our body We're gonna come into our belly We're gonna feel that fire within us If you can't then just feel your breath as it is Sometimes difficult to separate the two just feeling the breath and feeling the fire within because they're so connected Feel that fire within us that passion What do we want out of our day not what we should do today,
What do we really want what would make us so incredibly happy today What would make us feel so incredibly?
Fulfilled Not what society tells us to you,
But what inside our innate fire is telling us that we want to do today See if you get an image or a thought pops up Just stay with it for a second Whatever that is When you're done write it down Right on a post-it and put next to your bed or on a window or Mirror More like a mirror not a window Somewhere where you will see it For the rest of the day today because tomorrow it may be different But listen to it follow it Allow ourselves to come back to this space.
We're gonna Wiggle our toes and our fingers and maybe take one more two more deep breaths Slowly open our eyes You took this time for yourself You took this time to find your passion.
What's gonna push you forward today what you're gonna enjoy and love go ahead.
