Is Feel the resistance.
Feel the resistance.
Feel the resistance.
This is a mindful meditation in recognizing the places where we resist.
Feel the resistance.
We're going to start by focusing on our breath just the way it is right now.
Just sit comfortably or lay down comfortably.
And notice your breath.
And begin to draw the belly muscles in on the exhale and relax them on the inhale.
Don't let this part of movement stop.
So just keep moving the belly in and out to assist your awareness on the breath.
If you're sitting,
Then just drop your chin towards your chest and roll your head to one side or the other.
If you're lying down,
Just very slowly and gently turn your nose from the left and to the right as you continue to breathe.
Bring your awareness to your shoulders and notice if they are feeling tense or relaxed.
And do what you need to do to get them feel relaxed.
And if they are relaxed,
Just notice that feeling.
Bring the attention to your jaw.
And regardless of the sensations in that area,
Place your tongue at the roof of your mouth.
And continue to breathe.
And notice the sensations in the jaw,
The neck and the shoulders.
Open and close your fingers,
All five of them on both hands simultaneously for a few times.
As you give the next three,
Next thing you do,
Now you end up with them pay on your hands or arms.
Beat the sled event on Bring your attention to the center of your chest,
The sternum in between your breasts,
Or what I will refer to as your heart chakra.
And as you breathe in and out,
See if you can now lengthen the breath to feel the chest rise and fall in this area.
Exactly,
Now I would like you to just feel the sensations in your upper body,
In a state of receptivity,
And openness where these areas are relaxed.
I'd like you to think about a situation in which you decided to align yourself with the decision of love and surrender where you actually were open to something other than what was in your mind.
It may have been a conflict with your partner or family member in which you just simply said okay and the outcome was winning to all.
It could be a situation with a person outside of the home.
Just let the situation arise in your mind where you surrendered and accepted and said yes even though some facts told you to say no.
And notice the sensations in your body by having said yes and it was a win-win situation.
And now I'd like you to notice a time when you felt you were right despite opposition,
When you felt firm,
When you were closed and would not consider other options.
And notice the sensations in your upper body when you allow this situation from the past to arise.
You said no.
Unconsciously,
I am not willing to consider other options.
I believe I'm right in this.
Just continue to breathe with the sensations.
And if your chest feels heavy or your neck or your jaw feel tight,
Just breathe and change your mind and say yes inwardly.
Yes,
I am open.
Yes,
I can consider other options.
Yes,
I can see this situation differently.
And then simply ask,
Let me learn from this situation and show me what I could have done differently.
Let me learn from the situation and show me what I could have done differently.
And now come back to the deep slow breathing,
Letting your belly rise and fall.
A slow deep breath where even your chest can rise and fall.
And begin to plant the seed of openness.
Begin to dismantle the wall of resistance.
Simply by asking the following question.
When I am resistant,
Show me with my body as a bridge,
With my body as a cue.
Show me when I am closed.
Show me where I am closed or resistant,
Using my body as the bridge to this understanding.
And now come back to the deep slow breathing.
And now drop this seed into your mind of openness.
I am willing to take time in my decisions to consider options and proposals.
I am willing to take time and use it on my side to make decisions,
To notice where my resistance lies.
I am open.
I am willing.
And come back to the sensations in your chest as you breathe in and out.
Notice the sensations in your shoulders,
In your neck and throat,
In your jaw,
In your arms,
And in your hands.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I am willing to consider.
I am willing to be open.
Yes.
The universe is a friendly place.
Yes.
Time does work on my side.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Awareness of the breath says yes.
Yes.
