A powerful exercise that helps you break through old blocks or triggers. You will overwrite a subconscious belief or trigger by tapping into the resources that you have already developed as an adult. You do not need to force anything but allow your subconscious or intuition to guide you.

Close your eyes and begin to get comfortable.

Begin to feel your body and how it's touching your feet.

Feel your feet on the ground.

Feel your hands and what they're touching.

Get a sense of your body and your environment,

And feel that you are safe in your body and your environment.

Now take note of your breath,

Not trying to change it,

But just noticing your stomach and your chest moving up and down.

This is a grounding exercise,

And just make a note that you can always come back to this awareness if you feel like anything in the rest of this exercise is too intense.

Now get a sense of how you're feeling inside your body.

Get a sense of any feelings that are arising,

And you can just breathe into those feelings in your body if it feels safe.

You can breathe out of your mouth,

Into your chest,

Your stomach,

Any area of your body that feels uncomfortable,

And bringing compassion to those areas as you breathe into them,

And just release any tension from the day.

And now I'm going to count down from five to one,

And as I do,

You're going to sink deeper into a place of inner knowing,

Of calm,

A place where you feel deeply connected to yourself.

Counting down,

Five,

Getting more and more comfortable,

Four,

Sinking deeper and deeper into your body,

Three,

Feeling so relaxed from your head to your toes,

Two,

Connecting to the deeper part of yourself,

The part that is knowing,

Is wise,

Is connected,

And one,

Feeling so calm,

So connected,

So relaxed.

And now I'd like you to visualize a place that feels very safe.

It could be a place in nature,

It could be somewhere that's real or imagined,

Somewhere that feels very safe and calm and inspiring.

And take a few breaths,

Just imagining yourself there,

Filling yourself with that beauty.

Now allow the thought of what's been coming up for you lately.

How have you felt unempowered,

Triggered,

Or shamed?

Maybe there was a scenario in your life that brought up these triggered emotions.

And feel into the feelings that are coming up when you think about it.

Allow to come to mind a time when you were younger,

When you felt the same uncomfortable,

Unempowered feeling.

Allow your subconscious to bring images to mind of a time when you felt powerless,

When you felt the same or similar feeling.

See your younger self and how they felt in that scenario,

In that time,

In their body.

How did those emotions feel?

Who was around you in that time and what was happening?

If you can't see any images,

Just tap into the feelings that you felt in your younger self.

With your left hand,

Begin to touch your thumb and forefinger together.

Really sink deep into that uncomfortable feeling.

You can breathe into it like we did earlier,

Breathing out through your mouth.

A long exhale if it feels uncomfortable.

Remember you can always back up and go to the grounding exercise if it feels like too much.

Take a few breaths,

Sinking into that feeling.

Now let your mind wander back to the safe place that you experienced earlier.

Release your left hand and sink into that calm,

Comforting feeling.

Take a moment to breathe in the energy of that place.

Now think about what resource your younger self needed in that scenario in order to feel whole,

Empowered and confident.

If you were feeling shame,

It could be a healthy sense of pride.

If it was fear,

It could be strength and bravery.

Let your subconscious bring to mind a word that embodies what you needed in that moment.

Now bring to mind a time in your life when you have experienced that resource.

When you have felt empowered,

Safe,

Brave,

Confident.

Allow yourself to go into that memory in as much detail as possible.

Noticing your environment,

Your clothing,

What was happening.

Really feel this emotion in your body,

This strength.

Now bring your thumb and forefinger of your right hand together as you see yourself being confident and being full of this resource.

Take a couple of breaths and really sink into that feeling.

Now we're going to take this resource that you've experienced and bring it into that first scene with your younger self.

But this time taking the resources with you.

Now touch your left thumb to your left forefinger so that you have both hands touching fingers simultaneously.

Replay this scene with those resources that you now have.

What would your younger self do with this resource to take back their power and step into their worth in that situation?

Let your subconscious show you the best way for you to take back your power and incorporate the resource that you just felt into this scenario.

Imagine your younger self growing up taking this resource with them into every area of their life.

Young adulthood,

Adolescence,

Your 20s,

Adulthood.

Imagine what it was like to have this resource within you during all of these times in your life.

What is it like to feel confident,

Secure?

Take your time playing out this empowered life.

Filling your life with people,

Places,

And scenarios that empower you.

And come back up when you're ready.
