Welcome.

Today we are going to do a mantra meditation.

Coming to find a comfortable seated position.

You can use any props you may need to help you become more comfortable.

Take your time.

Do not rush.

Your comfort is important so take these first few moments to become comfortable and settled.

Sitting up nice and tall.

Bringing your shoulders a little away from your ears.

Have the feeling of a long straight spine.

You can invite your chin slightly towards your chest to create a little more space in your spine and the back of your neck if that is comfortable for you.

If it is ok for you,

Gently close your eyes or you can have a soft downward gaze a few feet in front of you on the floor.

Begin to notice your breath.

Notice the inhale.

Notice the exhale.

Start to breathe a little more deeply.

During our practice today if your mind starts to wander bring it back to our mantra.

The mantra we will use today is I am.

You will repeat this mantra to yourself with every breath.

Remember if the mind wanders return to the mantra.

If it is comfortable for you,

You can link the I with your in breath and am with your out breath.
