Divine Presence Meditation
by Ehssan
This meditation is for recognising the Divine Presence that permeates every cell of our bodies and everything that there is, through initial breath and body awareness. It uses mindfulness as an access point to the Divine Presence within each and every one of us and all of creation.

The Divine Presence Meditations are just to recognize the Divine Presence in us,
In nature,
In all of life,
In everyone that there is,
Everything that there is.
And really experience it at a deep level within us.
So,
To begin,
Let's just find a comfortable position,
Just feel relaxed,
Just feet on the ground,
Back straight.
You may like to put your hands on your lap.
You may like to use something like this.
I've started using it,
Kind of like a meditation shawl or cape.
It's nice to just,
You know,
Kind of give you a meditative state and almost a sense of commitment to the meditation for a period.
So,
You may like to use something like this next time you join.
Anything,
Anything can be useful,
Just to put around you and keep you going as well.
So,
Just welcoming you all.
Yushrav,
Welcome.
So,
This meditation is about,
It's a Divine Presence meditation.
And as mentioned,
We're just going to become present to the Divinity within us,
Within everything that there is,
Within everyone,
Within all of creation.
And that's what this meditation is about.
So,
Gently bring your attention to your breathing and your heart and your body.
Just,
You may like to close your eyes at this moment and just bring a sense of awareness to your breathing as you breathe in and breathe out.
Just following the breath into the nostrils,
Feeling the sensation of the breath at the back of the throat.
Down your chest and belly,
Noticing the rising and falling of the chest and belly.
You may like to take a deep breath at this moment.
And as you breathe in and breathe out,
Sinking deeper into the present moment,
Into the chair,
Into your seat and just feeling your weight where you are supported on the earth.
Just feeling your body just sinking deeper into the present moment.
As you breathe in and breathe out.
Continue to breathe,
Softening your facial muscles,
Your body,
Your shoulders,
Just dropping everything and just sinking deeper into the present moment.
And as you breathe,
Now breathe gently into the heart area.
And just continue to bring a deeper sense of awareness to your body from head to toe.
Noticing the sensation of your feet on the ground and the ground supporting you.
Noticing the sensation of the seat supporting you.
And become present to the feeling and sensations.
And as you do,
You may notice the mind wandering.
That's totally fine.
You don't need to get rid of thoughts or any other sensations or feelings or discomforts.
Just allow them to be as they are.
And just sink deeper into the present moment bringing your attention into the body,
Around the heart,
Around the chest.
Now begin to pay attention to any sounds that may arise and pass in your environment.
You may be hearing sounds of birds through the speakers because I'm kind of in nature right now.
There are some birds around.
You may hear other sounds around your own environment.
Just notice them without judgment.
Just allow them to be.
Allow them to arise and pass.
Just as you allow your thoughts to arise and pass.
You allow your sensations in the body to arise and pass.
You're allowing and surrendering to what is.
With a sense of trust.
And a sense of love.
And acceptance.
And as you go deeper,
You notice this sense of inner peace that is arising without any cause.
Nothing's happening right now.
But there's a sense of deeper peace that is beyond the mind.
Beyond cause and effect.
That is the natural state of presence.
The natural state of wandering.
The natural state of nature.
And what we're doing,
We're sinking deeper into the present moment to experience this deep peace and love that permeates everything that there is.
And when the mind is quiet and the mind subsides,
Or you transcend the mind,
You experience this deep peace.
Untamed.
Uncaused.
Infinite.
And pervasive.
No matter who you are,
Where you are,
As you let your biases,
Your prejudices,
Your mind,
Your judgments,
Subside,
Just let go of them.
All of these thought patterns and thoughts that are a condition of a conditioned mind that arise from your lifestyle,
From your experiences,
From your upbringing,
Education.
All of those things.
You're just allowing them to subside for a moment.
They're not going anywhere,
They will remain.
Just letting them go for a moment so you can go deeper into the infinite presence of love that is always there.
Infinite.
Pervasive.
Perpetual.
And as you go deeper you may experience this for yourself,
Beyond words,
Beyond the textbooks and the sacred texts.
You will experience it for yourself as you go deeper into the present moment.
And this experience is beginning to touch the infinite presence of divinity and love that is pervasive and beyond words,
Beyond descriptions.
Beyond faith,
Beyond belief.
And go deeper and deeper and allow yourself to surrender to that which is beyond the mind.
What you're experiencing,
You may label it if you like but it does not make labels.
You recognize it's beyond the body and the mind.
It is beyond life itself.
It is the infinite.
And it's always there,
It's the constant beyond the arising and passing of forms,
Of life,
Which is impermanent.
For all of us in bodily form,
Arise and pass.
We are born and we die and that is the nature of things.
Nothing wrong with that.
It's not a problem,
It's a reality.
And we surrender to that.
We surrender to the laws of life.
But while we are here in this moment,
We can also get a glimpse of the infinite that is always there,
Will always be,
Always has been,
Beyond time and space.
And as we sink deeper into the present moment,
We surrender.
We surrender to the divine presence that permeates all time and space.
That always was,
Always will be.
Whether humanity survives or not,
It will continue to be.
Whether our planet remains or not,
It will continue to be.
Whether our universe collapses in the next billions of years,
It will continue to be.
For it is allowing everything else to be.
It is the infinite presence that always was,
Always will be.
So,
Ding,
Be here,
Be present.
And sink deeper,
Noticing that the infinite permeates everything that there is.
Every cell of your body,
Every atom.
The air you breathe,
The ground you stand on,
The birds you hear,
The flowers you see,
The people that walk by.
Known and unknown,
Everything that there is.
The infinite presence is there,
Everywhere.
And as you do,
You notice the mind will always judge and that's okay.
No need to resist or add more judgment to the mind,
No need to get rid of it.
Become the space for the mind to arise and pass,
For the body to arise and pass,
For everything else to arise and pass.
Continue to pay attention to the breath and the body.
Sinking deeper into the present moment with a sense of surrender,
Total acceptance of whatever is,
Of self,
Of situations,
Of others.
And feel this deep peace.
Again,
If the mind chatters,
It's totally fine.
Just allow it to chatter for a good thing.
If it likes,
It will stop.
If it doesn't,
It's fine as well.
Allow the mind to arise and pass.
Become the space for everything to be.
And as you do,
You come closer to the infinite.
And as we begin to come to the end of this meditation,
I'd like to let you know that you have access to this meditation all the time.
Not just now,
But all the time.
So access this meditation by becoming totally present and aware of the breath of your body,
Of your heart.
And you begin to connect to the infinite presence of love and peace that is always there,
Always has been,
Always will be,
Beyond us,
Beyond humanity.
And as we tap deeper into that present,
Infinite presence of love and peace,
Our behaviors change,
Our relationships change.
We become more peaceful and loving and transform not only ourselves but our relationships.
And as more and more of us do this meditation and become more present,
Our world begins to change.
The world becomes more peaceful,
Conflict reduces,
Love increases.
And it all starts with ourselves.
We don't have to change anyone.
It's not even about changing ourselves.
It's only about becoming more and more present.
And suddenly,
An infinite presence begins to open up within you.
And you recognize it's always been there,
Beyond your personality,
Beyond your ego,
Beyond your mind.
And everything else that you are,
All the labels you carry with yourself become secondary after life.
Life becomes easy.
Life becomes simple.
You still have troubles in your life,
Doesn't mean they disappear suddenly,
But it means they have a lightness about them.
As you become deeper and deeper and more present,
Life becomes simpler simply because you have opened up an infinite presence within yourself that is beyond your personality,
Your mind,
Your beliefs,
Your ideas,
Your roles and responsibilities.
You'll still have them in life.
You'll go through life with more ease and with more peace and more love,
Begin to transform your life and the lives of others.
So remember to access this any moment,
That you forget because all we are doing is remembering what you already know.
And you may forget and you may bring suffering again to yourself and others.
But remember when that happens that you can access this meditation,
Become still,
Let go.
And you will begin to access this meditation anywhere,
Anywhere you are,
And whatever you're doing.
Begin to become aware of your body again and your breath and your environment,
Just noticing where you are in the space on this planet,
Infinitesimal planet in this universe that is infinite in size.
Noticing how infinitesimal we are,
Yet how grand and expansive we are at the same time.
And this contradiction within us is the nature of life and humanness.
To be able to tap into the infinite yet be infinitesimal in the presence of that glory that we witness.
Take a deep breath and feel your body one last time,
Just for this meditation.
You may like to wiggle your toes and fingers,
Bringing a sense of awareness to the space you're in right now.
Feel your body from head to toe.
And when you're ready you can open your eyes.
