Often we create objects of reality in our mind and we interact with that object.
So that object is just a thought,
A person,
An event,
Something that happened in the past,
Just memory,
Something that is happening right now,
You're turning it into some thought form,
Some interpretation,
Some judgment,
That becomes the object.
Memories are objects.
Or you may imagine something in the future,
Imagine something about an event,
A person,
A yourself,
About something that might happen.
So generally there is objects of memory and imagination in the mind and instead of interacting with reality,
With life,
We interact with the objects in our mind and we generate more thoughts and judgments about those objects that we've generated.
So layers upon layers of thoughts,
Imagination and judgments about the reality of the world,
About people,
About things,
About events,
Relationships,
Everything,
What is true and what is not,
What life is about,
Everything becoming a thought form and we interact with that.
So we get further and further away from reality by doing just that,
All of us get further and further away from reality.
So how do we return to reality?
The very understanding and awareness that we are doing this returns us to reality.
The awareness that we are generating thought forms of reality gets us closest to reality because that awareness itself is an insight into the working of our mind.
The awareness that we're objectifying reality has already returned us to a truth that was masked by the mind,
Truth of the mind's control when we are not aware.
And the beauty of this is through this insight and awareness suddenly we have become spacious awareness instead of the constant stream of thinking that is happening in our mind.
This state of stillness and spaciousness also has a quality,
A quality of inner peace,
A quality of harmony,
Joy that emanates from this depth,
This depth,
This space.
So each time you return to this stillness you gain access to a infinite space,
You gain access to who you truly are beyond the stream of thinking.
Now don't turn who you truly are into a thing,
Into another object in the mind because then you fall into the same pattern.
So let go of the need to objectify who you are,
Let go of the need to label because each label is a thought form,
An object in the mind and each object in the mind is actually not who you are,
Not what reality is.
It is simply a mental model that yes it can help us navigate to some extent but it is not reality.
Thus become spaciousness and simply know that that spaciousness,
That non-form is the essence of who you are.
Don't turn that into a belief,
You must experience this so that you know for yourself at a deep experiential level that you are beyond thoughts in your mind,
Beyond the labels that you have accumulated over time about who you think you are,
Your name,
Your profession,
Your likes and dislikes,
Your personality type,
Your experiences and everything you accumulated and everything you label yourself as.
None of that is the essence of who you are,
There are characteristics of your form identity that are limited in many ways.
You may have some religion or you may have some nationality,
Well you will in most cases,
Or you may be an atheist.
Again these labels I am X,
I am Y years old,
I have this nationality,
All of these things are characteristics of these thought forms that don't have a grounded essence in reality.
They were generated by humans,
Human mind.
I'm not saying to forget about all of these characteristics,
All I'm saying is recognize that they are just thoughts in your mind,
They are not who you truly are.
Who you truly are is beyond label,
It cannot be contained.
When you rest in this awareness and stillness,
When you rest in the arising and passing of thought in your mind,
You will begin to expand beyond the mind,
Something begins to shift.
As a result you will have a certain experience,
An experience that is peaceful and harmonious with the rest of life.
It is not in conflict with others,
With nature,
With life itself.
There's a sense of ease,
A sense of surrender and acceptance of the reality that unfolds right before you.
There is no resistance.
Whatever is,
Is.
And you are the spaciousness that allows the arising and passing of all events.
You are the spaciousness,
You are.
Let yourself rest in the space that allows you to be as you are in form,
That allows the suchness of this moment to be as it is,
As it is.
Non-resistance to reality,
Non-resistance to the arising and passing of whatever is taking place in this moment.
Whatever manifests itself exists in infinite spaciousness that you are.
Rest in this peace,
In this peace.
Rest in this awareness,
Rest in this infinite space.
And then you will know.
