This is a visualization for children (and grown-up ones) which aims to transport them to a playground. It includes the popular sights, smells, and sounds of spring and will leave the listener feeling relaxed. I created the visualization after my students said they had not been able to go out for weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak. So are you ready to go on the merry-go-round or the swing?

Sit comfortably on your chair or on the floor.

Let's make our bodies feel nice and calm.

Breathe in and fill your tummy with fresh air.

Then slowly breathe out.

If you want,

You can close your eyes now.

Let's breathe in again.

1,

2,

3 and slowly release.

Let's do it once again.

Breathing slowly.

1,

2,

3.

Hold it and breathe out.

See yourself in a playground.

It is a lovely spring day.

You're wearing your favorite t-shirt and jeans.

Take a moment.

What color is your t-shirt?

What color are your jeans?

Blue,

Black,

White,

Grey or perhaps it's another color.

Look up at the sky.

The sun is shining brightly.

Hmm,

I suppose the sun just smiled at you.

You see a white fluffy cloud in the blue sky.

What shape is it?

Does it look like a heart,

A big circle,

A rectangle or something else?

You can hear children laughing and see the two girls are playing on the slide.

They're going up the steps and then whoosh down the slide again and again,

Faster and faster.

They decide to go on the swing.

Feel the seed.

Is it hot?

Is it comfortable enough for you?

Put onto the ropes with both hands and push your feet into the air.

The swing starts to go higher and higher.

The wind catches your hair and plays with it.

You feel very happy to be outside.

You can smell something sweet which reminds you of your mom's sugary puddings.

You slow down,

Get off the swing and see some trees behind you covered with beautiful white and pink blossoms.

Huh,

So that's where the smell is coming from.

Step under one of the trees and look up.

Thousands of tiny flowers are hanging above you.

It looks magical.

You hear the girls again.

Now they moved onto the merry-go-round.

You decide to join them and play together.

When they see you coming,

They stop the ride and let you get on.

The merry-go-round turns slowly at first,

But you push it with your feet and then it spins quicker.

It feels great to be playing with other children.

You smile at each other and the feeling you've made some new friends.

Now let's focus on your breath again.

Feel the air coming in and then going out.

Breathe in again and notice how the air is going through your nose.

Hold it and then release it with a hoo.

Wake up your body slowly.

Move your head,

Hands,

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

You can open your eyes now.
