Hello and welcome to your meditation.
Today I will be navigating post-traumatic stress from a breakup.
So sit tall,
Sit well,
Make sure that you're in a quiet space to do this deep inner work.
And I know that you might be hurting right now or you may have covered the hurt with a few layers and both of those things are okay.
I invite you just to breathe,
Melt into yourself,
And just know that the universe has your back.
I'm here to guide you safely and compassionately and together we reach the space of home.
So now breathe and start to become aware of the rivers of energy pulsing below the surface.
Start to feel,
Notice the different parts of your body if you're sitting down in a chair,
Your sit bones pressing into a chair,
Or the outer edges of your wrists or arms touching the wall.
If you're walking just notice the feeling of the touch of your clothes on your skin.
Focusing the mind,
Bringing awareness to the breath.
When you feel like you're honing in on the breath,
Imagine tracing it through your body as if your body were a hollow tunnel and you can just trace your breath and just adopting the mindset of looking at everything with curiosity and fascination rather than judgment.
Just be with whatever you feel in this moment and allow everything else in the world to melt off of your shoulders.
Allow your eyebrows to broaden and your eyelids to become heavy and your jaw at the hinge joint to soften and let go.
Still witnessing the breath moving through the body and how it acts like a pump.
Just moving the energy around you because Anicca,
Anicca,
Everything is always changing.
Anicca,
Anicca,
Nothing is permanent.
Once you've started to settle in to the feeling of your body,
Letting go of the chattering and analysis of the mind and just being present with what is presented.
I want you to notice any pain or resistance in your body,
Maybe around your heart or solar plexus,
Your area of personal power and your heart,
Your area of unconditional love and forgiveness.
See if you can breathe directly into these areas with a focus on expanding the back body or the universal qualities of us,
Softening the front body,
The ego and expanding the infinite aspect of us.
Imagine forgiving the pain.
If things come up like a dozen bubbles at once,
Just witness the bubbles and know that they're separate from you.
You can watch them as they pop up and call for your attention and you can just witness them,
But you don't have to go inside the bubble.
Stay within you and keep inviting in a sense of safety and knowing that you are so loved.
And as you breathe into that back body just like as if somebody had a kind hand onto your back,
You breathe against it and say,
Yes,
I know that you're here.
I am here too.
We are together.
I am not alone.
Keep breathing deep.
Keep dropping in,
Letting go of any distractions.
And see if there is a deeper feeling collected in and around the heart and solar plexus.
What is beyond the resistance?
The most difficult part about an emotion is the resistance to it.
So see if you can allow it to spread willingly turning around and walking into it and allowing it to expand through your body.
Again,
You are safe.
You are loved.
You are rooted and so intimately connected to the earth.
Feel your breath.
Notice if when you go to touch the pain inside,
If your heart rate changes,
If you start getting a little clammy and then just bring it back,
Breathing into your back body,
Remembering that feeling of love.
Expand and deflate.
Expand and deflate with your breath,
Witnessing the rhythm in your body and allowing whatever feeling of hurt,
Of pain,
Of betrayal,
Whatever it is that you might be holding on to from the past,
You do not have to carry this with you into the future.
You can choose to allow it to express within your temple safely with compassion and just stay with it until it dissolves.
Keep breathing.
The breath helps you to keep the prana flowing through you.
Keep inviting in Sukham,
Softness,
Softness,
Softness,
Because Anicca,
Nothing is permanent and Anicca,
Everything is always changing.
You can choose to be in the seat of the witness.
You can choose to observe and allow the ghosts of the past to flush through.
Breathe and see if you can notice what is underneath the first layer of hurt,
Of pain,
Of anger.
What is underneath there?
I want you to turn around,
Go into it,
Remember that you're safe and that you're loved.
I want you to face that pain.
I want you to choose it and notice that when you choose it,
How the outer edges of the pain starts to dissolve and you see it for what it is,
Stuck energy.
You've got this.
You can do this.
You deserve to live a full and rich life.
You deserve love in the spaciousness that we're creating,
Cultivating a voice of kindness,
Of support.
You release any of the words or accusations of the past,
Let them go.
You get to choose what you believe.
Imagine that as you keep holding space and allowing these stuck energies to finally process,
You start feeling cleansed.
Shauta is the concept of purity and tapas is the concept of staying in the fire as long as you need to because it's from a place of love.
Because you want to know yourself,
You want to rediscover yourself.
Who are you without the pain?
Can you walk into it?
Can you stay in it until it doesn't control you anymore?
And then see as you walk to the other side of the fire,
You start to remember.
You remember your strength.
You remember that you have courage.
You remember Anicca.
Everything is always changing.
So why hold on to the energy from the past?
Understanding that,
Of course,
The body wants to protect you.
It wants to protect you from the past pain.
But many times when it does this,
It prevents you from living.
And with your wisdom,
You know this in your truth.
You know this in your truth.
You know this in your truth.
Be brave.
What if you were lovable?
What if you deserve love?
What if you could be content with just you and you knew that you were complete and valuable and that your voice is valuable?
You do not have to carry the projection of the person that your past partner thought you were.
That is not you.
That is not you.
You do not have to choose it.
Imagine the best version of yourself.
What is your favorite emotion?
Joy,
Love,
Happiness,
Contentment,
Maybe relief.
And allow that to vibrate outward from your deepest core in yourselves,
In your bones,
In your muscles,
Your skin,
Your soul echoing out.
Become that avatar,
That embodiment of that emotion.
And allow it to burn away any of the remnants from that past projection.
It simply dissolves.
Breathe into this new version of you,
Lifting your head high,
Your heart fierce and open.
Imagine opening up your eyes and witnessing the world from that space,
An open heart,
A courage and trust in knowing that you can handle anything.
You are so supported.
You are loved.
You've got this.
An overlying softness to all those words.
But a strength within,
A confidence and a knowing that you are loved.
Namaste.
