When we intentionally slow down and create space in our lives to self-connect and meditate,

We are transforming.

Whether we feel it or not,

We are removing past versions of ourselves that no longer serve us or maybe that we've outgrown.

We're chiseling away at limiting beliefs and undoing layers that others have placed upon us.

And as we do this,

We begin to trust ourselves.

We trust our heart and its wisdom,

Trusting that everything that is happening now has to happen for us.

It has to be a part of our life process.

So let us use this time to continue to transform and to build more trust within ourselves.

Settle into your body and allow yourself to get into a comfortable seated position that might be resting in easy pose or sitting on a chair or your bed.

Close your eyes and ask yourself,

What would be most nourishing for my body,

For my heart?

What would be most nurturing for me during this practice?

Whatever answers come to surface,

Listen to them.

And when you feel ready,

You can keep your eyes closed and place both of your hands on your left knee.

On your next inhale,

I invite you to welcome in the breath effortlessly with no strain or force.

And as you exhale,

You relax into a gentle twist towards the left side of the body.

Using the subtle spine movement,

Witnessing the space between each vertebrae.

And we repeat this on the right side of the body.

So on your next inhale,

You place both of your hands on the right side of the knee.

And on your exhale,

Relax into a gentle twist on this side of the body.

Listen your jaw,

Soften the corners around your eyes.

And stay with the breath.

And as you rediscover the breath again and again,

You welcome yourself back into a centered state.

Straightening the spine,

Roll your shoulders up towards the ears and then back down the back.

The blades of both of your shoulders are feeling heavy as they direct themselves towards the mid spine.

Place your palms up as your arms are resting heavy on your lap,

Feeling the back side of your hands touching your legs.

Let my voice remind your physical form to relax.

As you notice if there's leftover tension on the face,

Around the eyes,

The back of the head,

Around the ears or the jaw,

Around the front,

Sides and back of the neck,

Relax the chest,

The front and the back,

Relaxing the whole abdomen,

Relaxing the whole backside of the body,

The thighs,

The lower legs and the feet.

You are receiving the potency of your presence.

You are transforming and strengthening your ability to trust your transformation.

Slowly welcome in another breath and then slowly watch the breath leave the body.

Trust your attention and your mind on the state of your breath,

The state of your body.

How are you transforming with your breath as it comes and goes and rises and falls,

Opens and closes?

Anchor your attention now to the bottom of your lower feet and as we inhale on our next cycle,

We tighten the muscles in both feet and in the arches of our feet and then we let it all go and be free as they transform their state to be soft again.

And we repeat this again as we expand the calves and the thighs,

We receive our breath,

We receive the tensing of the muscles and the tendons,

The feet,

The calves,

The thighs,

We pause,

Witness all the subtle and maybe the not so subtle sensations as we feel ourselves and the friction and we let go and we surrender the breath,

We surrender the form that we were just in to be soft.

Opening up even further as we alter our physical form again.

On the next inhale,

Compressing our feet,

Our legs,

Our abdomen,

Our back,

Our chest,

Our fingers,

Our hands and arms,

Staying here for 1,

2,

3,

4 and then as we exhale,

We melt away everything that we were just holding on to.

We let go and trust that we will transform back to a soft state.

Come back to your breath,

Staying with this life force,

Keeping you here and present as we allow the head space to go free.

We allow our mind to do as it pleases because we always remember that we are more than the mind,

We are more than the body,

We are the loving connected awareness expanding,

Transforming and trusting in the unfolding of life.

Let your attention dissolve into the outer world as you experience all of the sounds,

The noises,

Tapping back into your inner world as you notice the sounds and the noises here,

Moving your tongue around and swallowing the saliva,

Awakening our tastes,

Inviting gentle movement behind the eyelids,

Noticing any colors.

You are the loving connected awareness expanding,

Transforming and trusting in the unfolding of life.

Now bring yourself back into your space,

Back into your body,

Back to the breath,

Into the heart as we place the hands on the chest,

Taking a moment to feel its rhythm,

Its aliveness.

Bowing your head towards your chest as we close with the final affirmation,

Whispering out loud or silently to yourself,

I am the loving connected awareness expanding and transforming and trusting in the unfolding of my life.

Fill yourself up with this energy and these words all the way down through your lungs.

You can feel yourself full of this expansion,

Transformation and trust.

Open your mouth and watch yourself share the energy with others and the world,

Making an imprint in this practice.

Flutter your eyes open,

Bringing a smile to your face.

As you begin a new moment with a newfound trust in your transformation.
