I truly believe that being present with the moment before us and all that it has to offer is the path to sustaining connection to oneself.

Being present with our body,

Our breath,

And our heart.

So let us begin.

Get yourself into a comfortable,

Cozy position.

And give yourself a moment or two to settle into the body.

With your eyes still open,

Tilt your head from side to side as you exhale,

Expiring moments up until this present one.

And roll your shoulders towards the ears on a slow inhale.

And exhale as they gently fall,

Releasing any lingering discomfort.

Begin to rub your hands against the top of your thighs and allow your eyes to rest on your lower body.

Arriving in your body and soaking in the warming sensations of your hands on your legs.

Reminding ourselves that there is nowhere to go but simply only to be here.

And when you feel yourself becoming more connected to your body,

Let go of the hand motion.

Rest your hands and your arms on your lap.

Breathe in,

Widening the eyes,

Growing taller,

Smiling.

And as you breathe out,

You can then close the eyes.

Your bones ground deeper and you release all expression from the face.

Keeping your eyes closed now for the rest of our time together.

Unclench your jaw,

Melt the shoulder blades towards your mid back and open your heart to this moment.

Lick your lips,

Seal them,

Touch the top lip to the bottom lip and then swallow your saliva.

You are alive in this body.

Let the effortless rising and falling of the breath keep you here.

The air surrounding your body is holding you,

Softening you as you open your loving connected awareness to your aliveness.

Your skin,

Your muscles,

Your tendons and your bones.

Fill your body up in through both nostrils from the soles of your feet to the root of your spine.

The front and back of the lungs,

The cavities of the heart,

The throat through the crown of the head and hold this flow of energy for 1,

2,

3,

4 and slowly let the breath be free out of the nostrils and witness this life force exiting the body only to be welcome back again and again.

Surrender any control of your breath and simply be here.

Be present.

You are here in your body.

You are here breathing into your wholeness.

You are here connected to the center of life,

Your heart.

Bow your chin towards the heart.

Drop the shoulders away from your ears.

Soften your sweet face.

One breath in,

You slowly open the eyes and one breath out of the mouth,

The eyes slowly close.

Again,

One breath in,

The eyes slowly open and one breath out,

The eyes slowly close.

And when you feel ready,

You can open your eyes for one final time,

Presenting yourself to the world around you,

Connected to your body,

Your breath and the center of life,

Your heart.
