This meditation is designed for those who are being affected by the LA fires; however, it can be supportive for anyone who is in need of deep grounding and feelings of increased safety and oneness with all. Some "parts work" is included allowing for an opportunity to be with the experiences of a younger, scared part of yourselves. I hope you find this meditation helpful.

Hello,

I am Miriam Rose Lee of Energetic Pathway,

And I just wanted to offer a gentle guided meditation of safety and grounding for those that are experiencing the turmoil,

The chaos of everything that's going on in L.

A.

With all the fires.

What I'd like to do is ask you to get in whatever posture or meditative position feels best for you today,

Even if it's not your norm.

That's okay,

It's whatever your body wants to do,

Whether that's sitting,

Standing,

Walking,

Whatever it is.

I'd like us to start by dropping in and adding a little bit of grounding with all that's going on right now in L.

A.

And other parts of California.

Not only what was going on last week,

But what continues,

And everything that's been projected for this upcoming week with the winds again.

There's just a deep need in our bodies and our systems for grounding.

And so as we go ahead and start to settle in,

Let's be gentle with ourself,

Because when we're going through times of chaos and change and crisis and uncertainty,

There's a lot of uncertainty right now,

We may experience and feel things that are outside of our norm.

It may be harder for us to get back to center,

Even those who are frequently doing guided meditations or in their own meditative states,

Or offering healing services to clients,

Or teaching.

Whatever it is,

There's just a need for a lot of patience right now,

As it makes sense that it's harder for us to access those areas of calmness and quietness in the midst of chaos.

But just a gentle reminder that those glimpses of calmness,

Of peace,

Of safety,

They do still exist,

Even when it feels like they're so hard to find right now.

So if you haven't already,

And it feels comfortable and safe to you,

You can go ahead and close your eyes,

Or you can leave them open if that feels better.

And I want you to go ahead and place yourself in a place in nature,

Real or imagined,

That feels safe for you right now.

And again,

It's just whatever feels safe for you right this moment.

You're gonna place yourself in that space.

And if your mind tries to take you to a place that has been affected by the fire,

We're just gonna tell our mind to understand.

I hear you.

I know you're longing for that place that may not be here in the way that it used to be anymore.

And for right now,

Here in this moment,

We're gonna choose another place that we know exists or that we imagine that we can feel safe.

And as those thoughts come up or those feelings,

We just acknowledge them,

But we try not to hold onto them.

We just allow them to pass by.

So as you're in this safe space,

In whatever way looks right to you,

I want you to imagine the surroundings,

What do you see with your eyes?

What are the colors?

What can you hear?

What is the temperature on your skin?

How does the earth feel beneath you?

And I want you to notice where your body makes contact with the earth.

And whether that is your bottom or the base of your feet,

Just send a grounding cord of roots,

Just systems of roots deep,

Deep,

Deep into the earth,

As far down as you can go.

Go as far down as you can go as you feel comfortable.

Go ahead,

And this time,

Due to the need of more intentional grounding and feelings of stability and safety,

I want you to let those roots also expand out as far and as wide as they need to.

You can imagine them all over the surface of the earth,

And then digging deep,

Deep,

Deep into the earth,

Anchoring you far and wide.

And if even that right now doesn't feel too grounding for you,

It's okay.

What you're gonna do is imagine,

In the center of this tree that you are,

In the center of your main grounding root that you sent down,

We're gonna make that a metal rod.

So you're gonna send down this metal anchor deep into the earth,

Knowing all it does is offer a little brace and stability for right now,

Which can be removed at a later time,

If needed.

So allowing yourself to have the support that you need and calling it in,

And allowing for that extra anchor to help ground you even deeper right now.

Now,

What I want you to do is see if there's a part of you right now that needs reassured.

And that part of you may be a part of you that is feeling scared and lost and uncertain.

But you can imagine that part of you.

See if you can get a sense of an idea of how old it is.

What is it doing?

What's its posture?

This could be a part of you that's just completely overwhelmed.

Could be experiencing anxiety or despair or just stress to the max.

Whatever it is,

We're just gonna see if we can get a sense of how it's sitting or standing.

What its posture's like.

What is it doing or saying?

What does it need you to hear right now?

And just listen.

Be present.

Be the observer.

Allow whatever emotions to come up to come up.

Remembering that you are the one behind your eyes experiencing what this younger part is telling you.

And ask this younger part of you what it needs right now.

Don't be surprised if it starts telling you that it wants everything to go back to the way it was.

That it wants its home back.

That it wants to know that all of its friends are safe.

That it wants to know it doesn't have to evacuate again.

That it wants to know it can go home.

If those things come up,

Allow them to come.

Because it just means this part needs you to hear it.

It needs you to know this is what it's feeling.

This is what it's experiencing,

That it's scared,

That it's hurting.

That it feels lost,

That it feels like it doesn't have a place to land.

Whatever it is,

Allow it to be okay.

It's okay.

And reassure that part of you in whatever way is best.

And if you're not sure which way is best right now,

That's okay.

You offer something and see how it responds.

See how your body responds to it.

It's okay,

Little one,

I hear you.

I know you're scared.

I know that this is terror for you.

And I want you to know that I'm here with you.

You're not alone.

And even though it doesn't feel like it right now,

It will all in time be okay.

Let's see if there's any saying in particular that this part of you would like to hear.

Maybe it's,

I am safe.

I am okay.

I am not alone.

I can rebuild this.

I have love all around me.

I am ultimately supported and resourced even in this.

Play around with that and just figure out by gently providing prompts,

Providing statements,

And seeing what lands with this younger part of you and makes it feel the most safe.

And we're gonna thank this young part of us for coming forward and expressing how it feels,

Explaining again that you understand,

That you're sorry it's so hard for you,

That it's so hard right now.

And if it feels right,

Offer to hold this younger part.

See if it wants an embrace.

Imagine you putting this younger part in your lap and just nurturing it or rocking it.

Whatever it needs is okay.

Then as we thank this younger part and we have a better idea of what words we can say to reassure it when we start to get activated,

Let's tap into that adult part of you,

Your higher self,

The part of you that's connected infinitely with all that is,

All that ever was,

All that ever will be.

There is a bright white light known as your soul star.

It is above your head.

It's basically a chakra above your crown.

And if it feels resonant to you,

I want you to imagine the light from that soul star,

Your essence,

Where the divinity and humanity reside in one.

And we're gonna invite that into the top of your head.

And you're gonna imagine that as it comes into the top of your head and it lights up,

It may make the light pretty bright around your third eye,

Which is the center of your forehead,

Or it just may provide a little bit of a sense of clarity.

Whatever it is,

Is great.

And as that light starts to come in,

I want you to allow yourself to start to feel just a little bit of gratitude.

Gratitude for the rallying of those around LA right now,

All across the country.

Rallying for the gratitude in the community of LA that are warriors fighting this together.

Gratitude that although maybe everything else has gone physically,

You are okay.

You are still here.

Those you love are still here.

And we do this when we're in our center,

Enter our higher self,

Because it's not something that that younger part of us can hold or hear.

And that's fair,

It doesn't have to.

But we can hold both at the same time.

So I'm gonna leave you here in this higher space of love,

Of gratitude,

Of connectedness,

Of beauty.

Allow you to stay in this space as long as feels comfortable to you,

As long as you're comfortable.

As long as the time will allow.

And inviting you to come back to this meditation as many times as you need.

Inviting you to remember to say that phrase to help the little one inside of you.

Just a reminder that you are loved,

That you are sourced,

That you are not alone.

And even though it looks like chaos all around,

There is still a calm in the storm.

And you have access to it always with deep love and deep care.
