Most people who are in search of their purpose often think they should be doing something different with their lives other than what they're actually doing right now.

Searching for one's purpose is a form of distraction that the mind creates for itself to keep itself entertained.

Today I will share two foundations with you to help you understand your purpose.

I will also share an action meditation process you can do to help you align with your purpose more quickly.

The first foundation to knowing your purpose is to understand that your purpose is less about doing anything and more about easing into a state of beingness.

Most of humanity has been conditioned to operate in continuous doing mode,

Which eventually takes a toll on the body,

Mind,

And energy of a person.

We've all heard that expression,

Stop and smell the roses.

When we make our purpose be about something we do,

It becomes more destination oriented,

Meaning that once we have arrived to that destination,

We often feel empty and lost after that initial sense of accomplishment,

Because we are so used to having something to look forward to be what gives us a sense of purpose.

What if our purpose is less about doing and more about a way of being?

What if instead of needing to find a purpose,

We can simply ease into it?

At the core of every human is a desire to experience pleasantness,

Joy,

And peace.

So what if our purpose is just to align with that pleasantness,

That joy,

That peace that's already within us through the people,

The experiences,

The places,

And environment around us?

From this space,

Whether it's us sitting under a tree and enjoying a beautiful view,

Spending time with our family,

To expressing ourselves through art,

Music,

Or even inventing something new,

It all becomes enough.

And it all becomes part of our purpose,

Because they are all feeding that part of us that simply desires to experience peace,

Joy,

And pleasantness.

The second foundation to knowing our purpose is to be here now.

Have you noticed that you could be doing something,

But your mind is somewhere else?

Most people do this because the mind is often conditioned to want what it thinks it doesn't currently have.

The key to knowing our purpose is to bring our awareness into the present moment so that we can actually fully enjoy and receive it.

Creating space through our day to mindfully be present will help us actually enjoy our lives to the fullest instead of letting it pass us by because we are so distracted about gaining something specific.

It's only when we are fully present that we are able to experience happiness,

Pleasantness,

And peace,

Which is ultimately our purpose.

So this feels like the perfect time to begin our action meditation process so that we can align with our purpose with greater ease.

So let's begin.

I invite you to go ahead and get a piece of paper and pen or pencil so you can do this process with me.

So I'll go ahead and give you a moment to gather that.

Good.

So once you have your paper in front of you and your pen in your hand,

On the top of the page,

I invite you to write down the following.

Things that bring me joy,

Peace,

And pleasantness.

So you're just going to write on the top of the paper things that bring me joy,

Peace,

And pleasantness.

So now I invite you to contemplate on at least three experiences in your life that bring you joy,

Peace,

And pleasantness.

And once you get clear on what these three things are,

I invite you to go ahead and write them down on that piece of paper.

So these are the things that bring you joy,

Peace,

And pleasantness.

So I'm going to give you a few moments to go ahead and write those down.

And if you can't think of anything else,

Share some things with you that might inspire you a little bit.

So it could be sitting on a swing at the park and swinging.

It could be spending time with your children laughing.

It could be going for a peaceful walk in nature.

It could be dancing.

It could be just sitting in the sun for a few moments.

See what comes up for you.

All right.

Once you have written these experiences down,

Go ahead and close your eyes and visualize yourself in each of those experiences.

Spend a few moments visualizing yourself in each experience completely present with that experience itself and be in your full awareness of that experience.

Good.

And just go through each experience.

Let's give it the time that it deserves with you.

And just being fully present with each experience by being in your five senses,

In your visualization,

Hearing the sounds,

The tastes,

The textures,

The shapes.

Just be with each experience fully.

And now go ahead and express deep gratitude to yourself for bringing these experiences into your present reality so that you can use them as a reference point to align you with your happiness,

Your peace,

Your pleasantness.

Just express deep gratitude to yourself and to those experiences that actually activate and awaken the joy,

The peace,

The pleasantness.

And now go ahead and gently open your eyes.

And now give yourself the actual gift of getting to experience these things during your week.

Some of these things that you wrote down,

Allow yourself to do them this week.

This is you aligning with your purpose,

Which is simply to be happy at peace and to align with pleasant experiences.

Isn't it amazing to know that you get to free yourself in this way,

That your purpose doesn't really rely on anything or anyone except for the things that you get to give to yourself?

I invite you to watch this video and work with this process over the coming weeks to help anchor a deeper knowing of your purpose.

And if this helped you in any way,

Please share this video with your friends and soul tribe so that they too can feel supported and know how easy it can be to align with their purpose.

With that being said,

My friend,

I am so grateful for you.

Thank you for spending time with me in this way.

Until next time,

Have a beautiful day.

Thank you for this wonderful meditation πŸ™πŸΌ personally, I like to know from the description if I'm going to need anything for a meditation like a pen and paper, before I start the meditation, but in this case you can also do it without and just come up with the three things without writing them down, so it worked out well 😊 thanks again πŸ™πŸΌ

As someone who has tried and struggled with knowing my purpose, I liked the simplicity of how he gets us to align with our purpose. I have heard this before but the mind likes to focus on what we lack rather than what we have in the present.

Love this! I was surprised by a few things that came up and excited to work with this more. Thanks for this opportunity to explore. I also love the suggestion that purpose isn't a destination but being more present with what we love and enjoy ❀ Thank you πŸ™πŸ’«

What a great way of looking at purpose, I do so agree that it’s about a way of life, not individual acts… Beautiful, thank you for sharing! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»
