Transcript

This golden light exercise allows us to connect with our very dynamic flow of energy.

So make yourself very comfortable and lie down.

Maybe you want to grab a blanket to cover yourself up,

Maybe a pillow.

If you don't have a place to lie down or you don't feel like lying down,

You can also remain seated in any way that feels right to you.

Legs crossed,

Maybe in a chair or on a couch,

On the floor,

Leaning against a wall.

As you lie or sit here,

Close your eyes if that's comfortable.

You could also leave your eyes open,

But soften your gaze and relax your eyes if your eyes are open.

I invite you to place your hands on your belly,

Your lower belly below your belly button,

And begin to take long,

Deep inhales and long,

Slow exhales.

Slowing down the breath as much as possible,

Just allowing the breath to slow,

Keeping it natural and easeful.

Fill up your lungs with each deep inhale,

And then exhale fully and slowly.

As you inhale,

Expand through your belly,

Filling your belly up like a balloon.

At the top of your breath,

Suspend your breath,

Hold your breath for a few moments.

When you're ready,

Exhale and allow your belly to slowly deflate,

Bringing your belly button all the way back down toward your spine.

Hold the breath out for a few moments,

And then continue.

Inhale,

Expanding through your belly nice and full,

Suspend the breath,

And then contract your belly,

Exhale all the way back toward your spine,

Hold your breath out.

Moving,

Breathing at your own pace now,

Long,

Slow inhale,

And suspend the breath.

Long,

Slow exhale,

And suspend.

Continuing this breath pattern,

I invite you to envision your breath as a glowing flow of bright light,

Bright golden light.

This bright glowing light that is your breath is flowing and circulating throughout your entire body.

As you inhale,

It travels in through your nostrils to your lungs,

And then throughout the rest of your body,

From your head to your feet.

Inhaling this golden swirling light into your lungs,

And then out into the rest of your torso,

And exhale.

Inhaling even more of this golden light,

This golden light making its way down each leg,

All the way to feet and toes.

With each inhale,

You're glowing a little brighter from within as you draw in more and more of this golden glowing light.

And as it travels,

You can also feel it's like a warm glow of relaxation.

Everywhere this golden light flows inside your body,

It's inviting all the muscles and other tissues to relax.

Inhaling golden light,

It's now traveling down each of your arms,

Into hands and fingers.

You're positively glowing from within.

This golden glowing light makes its way up from your shoulders,

Through your neck,

Your throat,

Into your head.

And every place this golden light reaches,

You are relaxing more and more.

This glow of relaxation relaxes your jaw,

The cheeks,

All the micro muscles of your face.

Remembering that after each inhale,

You can suspend the breath for a few moments and watch this golden light flowing and swirling.

And after each exhale,

Suspend the breath,

Hold the breath out,

As that golden light flows within you.

This warm glow of relaxation has now made its way throughout every cell of your body.

Even relaxing the skin,

The scalp,

The surface of your skin,

Inside and out.

With each deep breath,

This light eventually has made its way out of your nostrils on your exhale.

And now it circulates around the outside of your body.

Feeling this warm glow of relaxation on your skin,

This bright,

Ever-flowing source of nourishment and protection.

Nourishment is flowing in and out of your body freely and easily,

With every deep inhale and exhale.

Again,

Watching as you inhale and suspend the breath,

This golden light swirling through your insides.

And you exhale and hold the breath out,

You can feel its warmth surrounding you.

You just continue to glow from within and be surrounded as well by this glowing light Its warmth radiating into you from the outside after every exhale and within you on every inhale.

Feeling this golden glow and this warmth and wisdom sink into you.

Nourishing you.

Protecting you and loving you.

Allow yourself to fill up and receive this warmth and this wisdom.

Relaxing into this warm glow.

Protecting you and holding you.

See how radiant you have become and how beautiful you are.

Take a nice long deep breath in.

Suspend the breath.

And then exhale nice and slow,

All of the breath out,

Out,

Out.

And relax.

Letting go of the breath pattern,

Just breathing naturally.

Resting here.

Notice how you're feeling.

Notice how you felt when you were doing the breath pattern.

Take note of your experience of this golden light.

Just notice.

Maybe you had a very positive experience.

Or maybe you experienced some resistance or tension.

Just be with this for a moment,

Whatever you're feeling,

Whatever you felt.

Don't try to change anything.

Notice any stories or judgments and just let them fade away and dissolve.

Just be a witness.

Simply allow whatever sensations came up or are coming up to rise.

And then let them go.

Now I invite you to take your arms and stretch them up over your head.

Stretching out your legs,

Whether you're lying down or seated.

Pointing your toes,

Stretching your fingers up above your crown.

Give your whole body a nice stretch.

Stretch.

Open and stretch.

You can move intuitively here in whatever way feels good in your body.

And then come back to some stillness and relax.

Whenever you're ready,

There's no rush.

You can come back into the space you're in,

Back into your body,

Back into your breath.

And open your eyes if they were closed.

And you can rest here as long as you'd like.
