Welcome,

Love.

The intention of this meditation is to support you to recalibrate and realign your beliefs around time.

If you have been feeling stuck in scarcity or fixated on lack and you are ready to rewrite your narrative around time,

Then this meditation will especially serve you.

You may desire to keep a journal and pen nearby to write down any wisdom or guidance you receive throughout this meditation.

I'm so grateful you're here.

Thank you for joining me,

For sharing your practice with me and for your willingness to dive deep beneath the surface and illuminate your path forward.

So take a moment to make sure your notifications are off,

Close your door or do whatever you need to do to make sure you are not disturbed for the next few minutes.

Acknowledging the sacredness of this moment,

You might light a candle or incense or put on your favorite essential oil or perhaps just place your hands over your heart.

If you need a moment to set up your space,

Feel free to pause this recording and press play when you're ready to begin.

Check in with yourself.

How can you most support your body in this moment?

Seated with a tall spine,

Laying down,

Sitting in a supportive chair.

What is it that you need?

Let your body lead you toward whatever feels most nourishing in this moment and know that what you need will change day to day,

Moment to moment.

Honor where you are and what you need right now.

Only in accepting where we are in this moment and what we need in this moment can we begin to take a step forward.

So give yourself full permission to take whatever you need right now to move in whatever way you need to move to make adjustments so that you can be fully supported.

Allowing yourself to take up space or make sound,

Just letting yourself sink into this moment to be present and feel nourished.

Now letting your eyes close or allowing the gaze to soften.

Begin to take notice of what's happening in your physical body today.

Take a deep breath in,

Exhale,

Sigh it out.

Inhale take a deep breath in,

Exhale,

Let go.

Once more take a deep slow breath in,

Exhale,

Release and soften.

As we move through our lives there are times when time feels expansive and other times when it feels restrictive or scarce.

You've likely experienced time feeling restrictive,

Agonizing over each passing minute as you sit in bumper to bumper traffic or are running late to something important.

Maybe you were sitting in a waiting room at the DMV or waiting for someone to text you back.

Regardless of the situation,

The seconds crawl by and you can viscerally feel the tension building in your body,

The contraction,

The constriction that are present that may look like hands gripping the steering wheel,

Taking short shallow breaths,

Fixated and gripping.

And on the other side of the spectrum you may have experienced an expansive feeling of time,

Spending hours that feel like minutes with someone you love or engaged in something you love.

Those times when you haven't checked your phone in hours,

When you're lost in a creative project,

When you're feeling so in a state of flow,

When you wake up from perfect afternoon nap and no sense of how long you've been asleep.

Just feeling expansive,

Open,

Trusting,

Surrendered,

Allowing what is in the present moment.

Allowing yourself to fully embody the experience you're having in the present.

In these moments your body feels relaxed.

See if you can access that feeling right now.

Breathing deeply,

Feeling open,

Feeling expansive,

Noticing that your body feels safe.

There's no tension or sense of holding on in the body.

Likewise there's no tension or gripping in the mind.

You are just trusting.

You are just relaxing.

You are just fully here in the present moment.

Your attention is resting on what is right now fully inhabiting this moment and this moment and so on.

What we know to be true is that time isn't actually going any faster or slower dependent on our circumstances.

The relationship with time is changing though.

So in order to shift our experience of time we need to shift our relationship with time.

So begin to notice your mindset around time.

How do you speak about it?

What's the repeating narrative that's happening in your mind on a daily basis about time?

Perhaps you're catching yourself in scarcity mode.

You might even notice it first thing in the morning.

Thoughts like I didn't get enough sleep or I don't have time for this or I'm in a rush or I'm too busy or there's never enough time.

So notice where the narrative for you has become a repeating track that doesn't serve you that creates a more constrictive relationship with time when what we desire and what feels good is to have a much more expansive relationship with time.

To have a healthier way of relating to time abundantly.

Because the truth is it's a lie to say I don't have time.

There's always time.

What we really mean often when we say I don't have time for this,

I don't have time for that is that something else is taking priority over this.

Something else is more important to me to spend time on than this or that.

Have you heard the expression make time?

I'll make time for it.

An easy way to begin to shift your relationship with time is to notice how in saying I'll make time for it and using this expression we take our power back and become more conscious co-creators of our experience of and relationship with time.

So begin replacing I don't have time or there's never enough time with I'll make time for the things that are important to me.

So what is it that you make time for?

Maybe it's connection with other people.

Perhaps it's self-care.

Perhaps it's getting things done in your business,

Moving the needle forward.

Perhaps it's quality time with your partner or loved ones or friends.

Perhaps what you make time for are the things that don't actually matter too much to you.

In which case we'll get to that and shifting what we're spending our time on so that we can be more intentional and leverage time in a way that reflects our values and what matters most to us so that we can be really fulfilled with how we use our time.

So consider if you were showing up as your highest self today,

This week,

This month,

What would you be committed to making time for?

Making control of your time where you can because truly we all have 24 hours in a day.

No one gets more time.

No one gets less time.

Right?

There are 24 hours in a day.

So the real question becomes what are your boundaries around time and how you spend it?

Arguably time is our most valuable resource because we can't create more of it and we can't get it back once we spend it.

So thinking about your time as a valuable resource and thinking of the way you spend your time as being an investment in your future and also the present moment,

Right?

Investing your time in the things that really feel fulfilling and meaningful to you so that no matter how much time you have left in this life,

Which is always uncertain,

You're spending it doing the things that matter most to you that create fulfillment,

That spark joy,

That create impact.

So in that same vein,

Consider how much time you spend currently in distraction.

Maybe that looks like scrolling on your phone or watching TV or just generally doing things that deplete your energy versus add to it,

That feel like they suck time versus create time.

And what are those activities for you?

For each of us,

They may look different.

They may be external.

They may be internal.

The external being things like scrolling on your phone,

Getting sucked into a social media rabbit hole,

Spending time listening to someone complain to you on the phone for three hours when you have better things to do.

And they may be internal,

Right?

They may be getting caught up in self-doubt or perfectionism that holds you back from using your time effectively,

That holds you back from making a contribution and impact with your time because you're spending it stuck in your head and spinning your wheels and in inaction versus in intentional action.

So consider what could be possible if the time were spent in a way that really served you,

Whether that was by deeply resting or connecting with a loved one or creating something new in your business.

So whatever the answers are that have come up for you during this time,

Bring your hands onto your body anywhere that needs some extra love at this time,

Maybe one hand over your heart and one over your belly,

And just rub some soothing reassuring circles onto your body,

Touching yourself the way that you would comfort a small child or reassure a lover,

Thanking yourself for the answers that have surfaced from deep within you,

The awareness,

The reclamation of some power and control over how you spend your time,

How you invest your time as a valuable resource,

Starting to cultivate some feelings of deep,

Deep gratitude for yourself for taking the time to nourish yourself in this way,

To get to know yourself in this way,

And to become aware of that which may have previously been unconscious.

And from this state of awareness,

I invite you to ask yourself the following questions,

Listening and feeling for the answers within you.

Perhaps this is a great time to grab your journal and pen or you may just wish to stay silent,

Eyes closed,

Hands on your body,

Really listening deeply for the answers and just allowing whatever comes up for you,

Whatever answers surface to come through,

Knowing that you can always re-ask these questions,

You can listen to it again,

You can jot down anything that was important to note at the end or at any time in your journal.

So whichever path you would like to choose,

Consider what is my relationship with time?

What is my relationship with time?

How does it feel?

What is it like?

How does it sound?

Do I like it?

Do I wish to change it?

What is my relationship with time currently?

What am I doing when time feels expansive,

When I feel in flow and when hours slip by like minutes?

What am I doing when time feels expansive and when I feel totally in flow,

I feel immersed in what I'm doing,

When hours slip by like minutes?

What am I doing when time feels constrictive and when the minutes drag by or when it feels like there's never enough time?

What am I doing when time feels constrictive,

When the minutes drag on or when it feels like there's never enough time?

What actions could I take in my life or business to spend more time in flow and to prioritize these activities?

What actions can I take in my life or business to spend more time in flow and prioritize the activities that have me feel engaged like time is expansive?

If I were to consider time to be my most valuable resource,

Worthy of investing intentionally,

How would I spend it?

How would I invest it?

If I were to consider time to be my most valuable resource,

How would I prefer to invest it intentionally?

How would my life and business change if I had all the time I desire for what is most meaningful to me?

How would my life and business change if I had all the time I desire for what is most meaningful to me?

If I had 10 extra hours every day of fully energized time that I could do absolutely anything with,

What would I use it for?

If I had an extra 10 hours per day of free time that I could spend doing absolutely anything I desire,

No limits,

What would I be doing during that extra 10 hours a day?

What time-sucking or time-zapping activities do I wish to eliminate to create more spaciousness?

Things like scrolling Instagram or watching Netflix or Screen Time or time stuck in perfectionism and self-doubt.

What time-zapping activities might I eliminate to create more spaciousness in my day?

What boundaries around my time do I need to clarify,

Communicate and uphold for myself and for my business to make time for what's most important?

What boundaries do I most need to clarify,

Communicate and uphold for myself and my business to make time for what's most important?

Who would I become and what would be possible if I felt truly abundant with my time and if any blocks that I'm holding around time were to be released?

Who would I become and what would be possible if I felt truly abundant with time and if this block around time were released?

So you may choose to pause this recording or go back and listen to these questions again,

Jotting down your experience and the answers that have come through during these questions being asked.

Noticing how you might desire to shift your relationship with time and create more time spaciousness,

More time abundance in your life and in your work.

Feel free to revisit this recording as many times and as frequently as you would like.

I'm so grateful that you've chosen to do this work and to make this space to reflect and to become more aware of that which was previously unconscious.

And I'll see you next time.
