Welcome to this guided meditation practice for tending to the heart.
Perhaps you've got a lot going on at the moment,
Or you feel like you need a bit of space,
That there's some unrest within.
Perhaps there is a heaviness present,
Or just this feeling of looping thoughts non-stop.
Perhaps even some tenderness,
And you get that sensation that it's time to take care.
So here we are.
Allow yourself to just settle down and arrive into your body,
To land fully,
To feel the healing of your energy as you breathe,
Inviting you to gently place a hand over your heart,
And to experience your breath as if each inhale passes through the back of your heart,
And the exhale through the front of your heart.
Concentrating your attention on this type of breathing through the heart space.
The heart has this capacity to transform,
To alchemize,
To heal,
But first we must listen to what's there,
What needs to be processed.
So I invite you to simply pay attention to anything that might be needing some of your attention.
Oftentimes when there's a busyness in the mind,
There is some unrest in the heart.
So just quietly observing if there's anything there that needs attention,
That needs to be witnessed.
Observing whatever it is that arises that you feel is heavy for you,
That you'd like to let go of,
But at the moment takes up too much space.
Just observe without judging,
Breathing with presence,
And noticing if there are any sensations that come up,
Any feelings,
Emotions that arise as you observe.
Instead of shying away,
Just remaining curious as to what's part of your inner landscape,
Your inner emotional landscape.
Breathing with any sensation,
Any feeling that comes up,
Just allowing it to be there.
Really presencing what's alive in you,
And slowly noticing if there's any tension in the body that arises.
Inviting the breath to any of these areas that need softening.
Again bringing your awareness to your heart,
And exhaling to release whatever has come up for you.
Whatever images you've witnessed,
Whatever sounds,
Sensations,
Or feelings.
Expelling with your breath,
Allowing all of these things to fade away,
To quietly leave the body and heart.
Giving yourself full permission to let go,
Without any desire to withhold or control.
Just sighing it all out,
Cleansing with your breath,
Letting go of any of the debris,
Allowing it to be cleansed with your breath.
Finally returning to a natural breath,
Just allowing yourself to bask in this space.
Feeling a little bit lighter than before,
More free,
Softened,
Relaxed.
Just being in this space,
Allowing yourself to be in the presence of your own heart,
Feeling connected to this great resource inside of you.
With a deep knowing that you can return to this space at any time that you need.
That you have this innate capacity to cleanse,
To heal,
To transform every time you come home to yourself.
Listening to see if your heart has a word of guidance,
A loving phrase of encouragement,
Or perhaps an intention.
As you move forward in your day,
Receiving fully this message.
Without searching or forcing,
Just simply allowing to unfold gently.
Trusting that this message is exactly what you need in this moment.
Give a little word of thanks to your heart and to yourself,
Basking in this connection,
This relationship.
And when this feels complete,
You can gently open your eyes.
