The path of healing is very unique for each of us.

Sometimes specific therapies,

Specific approaches may help us move forward.

It is very important for us as individuals,

As unique beings,

To really notice what we are resonating with every moment.

Because sometimes the same strategy,

The same therapy,

The same person,

The same video,

The same book,

Will not do it for you.

Or it will be the best solution for you in that specific moment.

So there is not a right or wrong answer here.

What is important is for us,

For you,

To honor your intuition,

To notice what you are resonating with the most,

To notice what feels best in that specific moment for you.

This feeling best sometimes can be influenced by our conditioning,

By our trauma,

By the way we react,

By limiting beliefs.

So it's important to really recognize,

Is this answer coming from my true self,

From me being grounded,

From me being emotionally self-regulated,

Or is this coming from a part of me that is wounded,

A part of me that feels unsafe in this moment,

A part of me that is reacting to something that has happened.

Maybe a situation,

Maybe a comment from a person,

Maybe a circumstance that created fear in you,

That created a reaction in your nervous system.

So how can we identify if we are making a decision from our true self or if we are making a decision from a place of fear,

From a part of us that is not being grounded in that moment?

I think one of the exercises that was for me that I have noticed is really back in the day many years ago,

I was embodying a monkey for Samantha,

We were having fun and then I started being a monkey in that moment,

Making the sounds of a monkey,

Moving as a monkey,

And it was something that Samantha never forgot.

And then I realized that that ability to embody and to be silly in the present moment,

It's a really good indicator for me to know if I am regulated or not.

So for example,

If in a specific moment I am making a decision and someone requires me or Samantha says,

Can you please do the monkey,

Or I ask myself,

Emilio,

Do the monkey,

If I can do it freely,

If I can be expressive,

If I can have fun and not be rushed,

I know that I am grounded,

I know that this is coming from my true self.

The moments that I am not in my true self and a part of me is activated,

Maybe I'm feeling resentful,

Maybe I'm feeling unsafe,

Maybe I don't really know what's going on,

Maybe I have a lot of emotions inside of me that are not being processed and are steering me and really ungrounding me.

I cannot embody the monkey,

I cannot be playful.

I have a really hard time and I will say,

No,

I don't want to do it.

And that is a really good indication for me that in that moment,

I am not grounded.

In that moment,

I am not making a choice,

A decision from my true self.

And this is not something to be ashamed of.

This is something to really help you.

It really helps me realize,

Wow,

So right now I am not going to make a specific decision or right now I am not going to have that conversation with my partner or right now I am not sure and I don't feel grounded,

So what I need to do is do something to take care of myself.

Maybe that can be time,

Maybe that can be going for a walk,

Maybe that can be any self-care activity that helps you ground,

Maybe you journal,

Maybe you ask your oracle card,

Maybe you listen to a song that uplifts you,

Maybe you pet your cat,

Your dog,

Maybe you drink or eat something that makes you feel well,

Whatever that is for you.

That's why I recommend to having your own self-care list,

To having your activities that you know you can do in those moments.

Right now for me,

Living in a motorhome full-time,

Being always with my family,

Sharing space,

Things are very amplified.

All of these dynamics,

All of the things that maybe trigger each other,

It just gets amplified a lot.

And what I notice is that having these little activities really help me ground.

So I have a didgeridoo,

I have my flute,

I have my guitar,

I have my juggling balls,

I have audiobooks that I listen to,

I have a few YouTube videos that I have on my to watch list,

And sometimes there are different kinds of things.

So in the moment I will take it with myself,

When I'm not feeling well,

I will say,

Emilio,

What do you need right now?

What will be helpful?

And sometimes it's movement,

So I will go for a walk or I will juggle my balls.

Sometimes I feel like vibration music,

So I would grab one of my instruments and I will just spend,

Honestly,

It doesn't have to be even a minute.

Sometimes 30 seconds of playing my didgeridoo,

30 seconds of playing my flute,

One minute of playing my guitar is enough to change my mood.

It's enough to ground me.

Sometimes I take my drum and I go into the forest because we are spending a lot of time in the forest right now.

So I can go between trees and I can just drum,

And I can drum as loud as I want because I'm not bothering anyone.

And if I want I can scream,

I can sing,

I can chant,

Or just playing the drum,

Whatever makes it for me in that moment.

So these are some strategies to help you get grounded,

To help you get started recognizing am I grounded in this moment or not?

Am I making a decision from my true self or is a part of me activated?

And this is very interesting to be curious about this because every time you are activated,

Every time a part of you is activated and you don't feel grounded and you don't feel that your true self is acting or making the choices,

That is a healing opportunity for you.

That is a healing opportunity for you to get curious,

To start a conversation with that part of you.

And this is a therapy structure called internal family systems,

For example,

That ties really well with attachment theory,

That ties really well with childhood wounds,

Inner child parenting,

Reparenting.

Basically,

What you are doing here is you are recognizing a part of you that is activated,

You are getting curious,

Having a conversation with that part of you,

Validating why that part of you is activated,

Hopefully saying thank you to that part for serving you in some way in the past,

But then you are going to hopefully give that part what it needs in a way that is from a more mature self.

So instead of having a part of you that was wounded when maybe you were little or in the past and that part of you is trying to use the same strategy to keep you safe,

The same strategy to protect you,

And it no longer works because now you are an adult,

Now you have more energy,

More consciousness,

More resources,

But that part of you is trying to do the same thing that it did in the past and it no longer serves you.

That's why it's so important for you to be curious,

To acknowledge the work that that part of you has done,

To honor it,

To say thank you,

And then to bring that part of you back in a different way.

And how can you do that?

By reparenting your inner child,

By reparenting that part of you.

How do you do that?

Once you start the conversation,

Once you discover what that part of you is doing or trying to do,

You are going to acknowledge,

You are going to say thank you for doing this for me,

And you are going to invite that part of you,

Would you like for us together to do this on a different way?

Would you like me,

My true self,

The adult person now,

To discover different ways of achieving this goal that you are trying to achieve for me?

Maybe protecting me on a different way,

Maybe keeping me safe on a different way,

Or maybe me calming you down because what I'm doing is no longer a threat and I can do this now.

And before maybe I couldn't,

Oh it wasn't safe but now I can.

And then you invite that part of you to be with you.

So once you give that part of you what it needs and you can calm them down and you can acknowledge their work,

That part is going to get,

It's going to relax,

It's going to feel safer.

And then you invite that part of you to be in your life,

You don't have to exclude it.

But you are integrating that part on a different way.

You are not letting that part of you control you anymore in that way that is not serving you.

You are discovering together different ways of moving forward.

Sometimes this happens instantly,

Sometimes it's clunky because you are going to start discovering new ways of acting,

New ways of behaving,

And your nervous system is going to react to that,

Energetically speaking.

And it's very important for you to be compassionate,

To be patient,

And to understand that the nervous system is being programmed.

It's been repeating the same pattern for so many years and it just takes time to somatically change,

Reprogram your nervous system so that it doesn't react the same way anymore.

That's why sometimes in theory,

Intellectually,

You understand a concept or you understand what you want to be doing but your body is not following suit.

Your body doesn't want to and it's resisting.

And that's the work,

That's the healing journey,

And that's where different modalities of healing can come into place at different times.

This is why different people,

Different coaches,

Different therapists,

Different authors,

Different podcast episodes,

Different videos,

Different books are going to resonate with you more or less on every specific moment.

And this is why it is so important for you to really listen to your inner wisdom,

To your inner guidance,

To your intuition,

And follow it.

Allow yourself to trust it.

And then take action in what feels good in that moment as long as you can,

To the best of your ability,

You can know that it's coming from your true self.

It is coming from you being grounded,

Being self-regulated.

And if you are not feeling that way,

Then it's fine.

Do something to bring yourself back to that grounded state,

To that self-regulated state,

And then you can reassess the situation.

You don't have to rush this.

You don't have to make a decision right now,

Forever.

This is a moment-to-moment-to-moment experience.

And as you heal and as you become aware,

And as you keep doing this work,

You are going to change,

And every moment is going to bring you new opportunities if you keep taking action.

So you don't have to have a blueprint with all the steps that you're going to follow for your healing.

You just have to take the next available step for you,

Because when you do that,

You are showing the universe,

You are showing yourself.

I am ready.

I am going to take action.

I trust,

And I am attuned to myself,

And I am looking for signs.

I am looking for new experiences and new opportunities that are going to help me keep moving forward.

And then your life becomes this amazing,

Beautiful,

Magic journey that keeps unfolding in front of you,

And you just have to keep walking,

One step at a time.

And you trust that the next step will appear when you take the next step.

But if you never take the next step,

The following step will never show up.

And that's what's so powerful and so beautiful.

But then we become afraid.

We are fearful,

And then we stop trusting,

And then we stop taking action,

And then we stop.

We start believing our limiting beliefs that will say something like,

In my case,

It says this is too dangerous,

Or this is not safe,

Or this is never going to work,

Or you should go back and do this instead that you know is going to work.

And this uncertainty is not safe to go there,

So don't go there.

All these voices inside of me are preventing me from doing this.

And these are the voices from my limiting beliefs.

These are the voices from my ego.

These are the voices from the parts of me that are afraid,

The parts of me that want to truly,

They have a really good intention.

They want to keep me safe,

But they are trying to keep me safe.

Using strategies that no longer serve me.

And this is why this inner child work is so important.

This is why accessing these wounds are so important,

And you can access them through internal family systems.

You can access them through attachment theory.

You can access them through childhood reparenting.

You can access them through so many different modalities.

Somatic therapy,

There are endless ways of doing this.

Shamanic ceremonies,

Etc,

Etc,

Etc.

So I hope that this helps you connect with yourself more.

I hope that this helps you understand that the healing journey is a never-ending,

Changing journey,

A moment-to-moment,

Evolving and unfolding journey and path that is going to keep unfolding in front of you as you keep taking steps and finding your edge and doing the work of being willing to show up,

Being willing to trust,

And being willing to trust yourself and your inner intuition about what you need,

What you can do next.

And then don't getting overwhelmed with the whole idea of what's going to come next and what's next and what's next and getting lost in that.

So let me know what came up for you after listening to this.

Feel free to reach out and share.

As always,

I'm here to serve you.

I'm here to help you.

I am on my own journey,

And I love sharing things that I feel inspired to and that my intuition guides me to share with the world,

With you,

Because I know I receive a lot of help from listening to someone else doing that,

And I know it's my responsibility.

To keep doing this,

To show up,

To serve and to share this part of my journey with others.

Thank you so much for being here.

I hope to see you in the next one.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you tremendously, Emilio🙏🏻💐💝 Divine timing for me to listen to this enlightening sharing of your healing journey❣️✨ So much resonating & things I took in from this talk. I especially appreciated the gem 💎 of understanding (on a body level) about how the body can take years to catch up, to the concepts first grasped intellectually. How that can continue to be realised with grounding, somatic, inner child work & more. I am in the middle of a magical healing weekend, involving dancing, singing, live music - real medicine for my soul❤️‍🩹💖. After listening to your talk, I am full of forgiveness for judging my fears & anxiety that initially dominated my thoughts, posture, movements as I began this weekend. The dancing 💃 definitely sped up the release & helped me ground & reconnect to myself. I’ll be saving this talk in my playlist.💝 Gracias 🙏🏻 & may you continue to work through your journey with grace, compassion & love.❤️‍🔥
