Mmm.

Good morning everybody.

Happy Thursday.

How are you guys doing?

Love the ball sounds.

Yeah,

So beautiful.

Hola Lena,

Hola Lenore,

Violet.

Good afternoon Sandra.

Where are you guys connecting from?

I am connecting from Waterloo,

Ontario in Canada.

It's a city that is very close to Toronto.

Very chilly and age.

Violetta from New York.

Aloha from Hawaii.

Greetings from Germany.

Good morning from Colorado,

California.

People from all over the place.

I love it.

It's so amazing.

It's just such a great platform inside Timer.

I just love it so much.

From the UK,

Elena.

Amazing.

Hello from Ohio,

Linda.

Anyone is new here to my live sessions.

Any person who is the first time meeting me live would like to say hi if there are any new people.

Buenos dias from Sedona.

Come visit Amy.

I have heard amazing things from Sedona.

They say everybody says that this is a beautiful place.

I am new I think.

Thomas,

Are you new?

Welcome.

Hi Angela.

You are also new.

Amazing.

Welcome to this session.

I'm Venezuelan and I live in Lisbon.

Nice.

First time.

Kerry.

North Carolina is that?

I'm not sure.

Welcome.

I'm new from South Africa.

Amazing Patricia.

What drew you into this session?

I'm just curious.

Why did you decide to spend some of your time today with me here?

North Carolina it is.

What are you hoping to get out of this session guys?

I always like to know what your expectations are so that I can gear the talk towards that.

Before getting started,

I had a lot of people ask where can I find the recordings or where can I find your course?

I am tired of feeling stuck on a better life.

Kathleen,

Thank you.

You are my inspiration for the coming year.

Amazing CJ.

I find all your sessions uplifting and helpful.

Violette,

Thank you so much.

I'm glad that you do.

Looking for a reset for the new year.

Amazing Ashley.

Good morning Emilio and all.

I was led by Numerology.

Just curious.

Amazing Thomas.

I'm curious about that.

I have been listening to all of your meditation and growing and want to grow more.

I'm finding like-minded people.

Amazing Melissa.

I just wanted to see your bright smile,

Emilio.

Nice to be cheerful.

Amazing Becca.

Thank you so much for your kind words guys.

Okay,

So before getting started,

Okay,

For those of you who are having a hard time finding the recordings of these live sessions,

So if you go to Inside Timer,

Okay,

So if you go to the app and then you go to the top and then you just type my name,

Emilio,

Emilio Jose Garcia,

I will show up here.

See,

That's me.

So if you click on my profile there,

Okay,

You see the different tabs that I have here.

Okay,

So on the first tab that says home,

If you scroll down,

You can see one track that is featured,

But then you can see all the live sessions that I have already scheduled.

Okay,

So that's a way for you.

You can see a mentoring that I offer one-on-one call if you need extra support with me.

And then if you look at the tabs,

You have tracks,

You have courses,

You have mentorship,

Workshops,

And then the last tab,

It's called about.

Okay,

If you click on the about,

That is the last one,

You will see a little bit of more information about me and then at the bottom you will see a link.

Okay,

The session is just starting,

Lee.

Okay,

It's just starting.

I'm just showing you guys where to find.

So this is the link where you can find the recordings and this is the circle that you can join.

It's called your thriving lifestyle.

Okay.

Amazing,

Thomas.

So that's how you can find it.

Can you guys see the screen?

Did you guys understand how to find the recordings,

The link that I always mention?

Because I'm not allowed to share links in the external links on Inside Timer.

The only thing I can share is my profile link.

Okay,

So that's why I always direct you to my profile link.

So do you guys understand how to get to that link now?

Everybody understands that?

Just give me a thumbs up if you are,

If you understand.

Got it.

Okay,

And then if you are curious about my upcoming workshops,

Just click on the workshops tab here.

Okay,

And then you can see a little video of each workshop.

And then if you click in one of the workshops,

You go inside the workshop and then you can see all the information in there.

You can see what's included,

You can watch the video.

Okay,

And then you can see the different sessions,

What you are going to learn,

And then you can,

What you are getting and then you can just subscribe there.

Okay.

So that's how you can do it.

So now that you guys know how to find that,

Just for you to know that I record all the sessions and I put them on that link.

So when you go to that link,

Scroll down all the way to the bottom of that page and you will see recording,

Sessions recording.

Okay.

And then you will find them there.

So Thomas,

Amazing,

You are new to intentional living.

The reason I'm here today,

Amy says,

I always feel uplifted,

Hopeful and like life a bit more manageable.

I come to your sessions for the practical aspects merged with the spiritual,

Mental,

Emotional and balance.

Amazing.

Okay.

Today's session is all about setting intentions for the new year that comes 2022.

How many of you always do new year's resolutions?

How many of you do that on a yearly basis?

Just say me.

Yes.

Oh,

Whatever.

Oh,

No.

Everything you do is inspiring.

Your passion is contagious.

Thank you for you.

Thank you Sue.

So Amy says,

No.

Lenore says,

Yes.

So some people do them.

Some people don't.

So,

So sometimes.

Yes.

Okay.

So we have a variety of things and that's great.

Not anymore.

Sue why not anymore?

I'm just curious to know the people have anyone tried to do them,

But then they just give up because they don't work.

Any of you have experienced that?

Jimmy says every month.

I love that.

And we're going to talk about that.

Okay.

Because some people,

They only do new year's resolutions,

But they don't do new month's resolutions,

New week's resolutions.

And we are going to talk about that.

Uh,

Okay.

Melissa says,

Yes.

I set an intention to a word or phrase like be gentle with myself.

Amazing.

Sue says it doesn't work.

Okay.

And of course it doesn't work if you only do it once a year.

That's why today's session,

I want to plant a seed in your head.

Okay.

I want to plant a seed with different ideas that hopefully that I,

That seed is going to grow and you are going to get started to,

Okay,

There are different ways of doing this.

I don't like to put pressure on myself instead.

I might just start as I mean to go on.

Amazing Thomas.

And that's another thing that I wanted to talk about today.

Uh,

Instead of saying new year's resolutions,

Uh,

I don't quite like that word because a resolution means that is something that is completed.

Right.

And that,

As Thomas says,

That puts pressure on yourself because it's like,

I need to finish this by this year.

And it feels like a lot of pressure.

If you,

That's why I call this new year's intentions,

Because when you're setting an intention,

You are setting a direction that you want to head towards,

But there is no resolution.

There is no end.

There is no expectations.

You just want to go towards that resolution.

Okay.

Uh,

Sue,

See what,

That's why I'm here.

You're great ideas.

Thank you.

How can you be truly in the present with an annual goal?

I want more of a balance between action and surrender.

Amy,

Beautiful reflection.

Exactly.

How can you be in the present and how can you remind yourself enough of what you want to do,

What you want to become?

If you only do it once a year,

It's just very difficult because you will forget.

So imagine that you are on a sailing boat.

Okay.

And there are different ways of sailing.

Some people just,

They just go and they don't have a direction,

But imagine that you want to set a direction.

Okay.

You want to go to a specific Island.

So you are setting an intention that you want to go to that specific Island,

How you are going to get there.

That's going to change.

Okay.

That's going to change.

Uh,

Because maybe there is a storm,

Maybe there is not enough wind.

Maybe you have to do a detour and then come back to track.

So at the end of the day,

It's not going to be a straight line towards your destination.

It's going to be like,

You have to adjust,

You have to flow,

You have to be flexible,

But always keep in mind where you want to go.

Life is the same.

You are setting an intention.

It doesn't mean that you need to know how you're going to get there.

It doesn't need,

It doesn't mean that you have to know every single step of the way you want to do something.

You want to become something.

You want to include something in your life.

And that's your intention,

How you're going to do that.

It doesn't really matter yet because as long as you have the intention,

There are a thousand ways to get there.

Okay?

There are a thousand strategies.

There are a thousand different ways that you can get to that same destination.

Okay?

For example,

Let's take a very big year resolution for a lot of people.

I want to lose weight.

Okay?

For example,

That's a big one that I hear all the time.

I want to lose weight.

So there are a thousand ways of losing weight.

There is,

You can diet,

You can eat less,

You can exercise more.

You can join a group where they go running every week.

You can whatever.

There are so many ways that you can do.

The important thing is to set the intention in a way that is uplifting,

In a way that is motivating to you.

And that starts by understanding why do you want to lose weight?

So what's after you lose weight?

What's going to come into your life after you lose weight?

What is the motivation behind it?

And that's what I want to talk about.

Yes,

Storms like my chronic illness and COVID was a horrific,

Horrific,

Beautiful,

Messy,

Painful lesson in how important it is to have an intention,

But not grasp onto the outcome.

Amazing Amy,

Great reflection.

So you set the intention.

You are not attached to the outcome,

But you always keep in mind where you want to go,

How you want to be,

What you want to see in your life,

Okay?

But then you have to be patient.

You have to be consistent.

You have to be intentional.

And this is why setting intentions is going to help you make your life a little bit more intentional.

It's going to help you decide.

It's going to help you say yes or say no to things.

It's going to help you create a life that you are going to enjoy more.

Okay?

So the first thing that I would like you guys to do,

I don't know if you guys have pen and paper,

But if you have pen and paper,

I will invite you to write down whatever comes up for you during this session.

Okay?

Because writing is really,

Really important.

I want to show you,

For example,

Some of the things that my wife and I do on a every few months.

Okay?

So this is,

For example,

How we set intentions in our life.

Okay?

So the first thing that we do,

We divide our life in sections that make sense to us.

So you can do the same.

In our case,

We have these sections.

I'm happy to share them.

You don't have to use the exact same ones,

But you can get the idea.

Okay?

So we have a body section.

Body includes what we eat,

Includes how much we sleep,

What we drink.

It's pretty much taking care of our physical body.

Okay?

Mind,

It's our mind.

It's our emotions.

It's our self-care.

It's how we feel.

Okay?

Then we have family.

That's the time that we spend with family,

The time that we go and visit them,

The intention that we put behind sharing experiences with families.

Then we have social.

That's our social life,

The people we surround ourselves with.

Then we have staff,

Physical staff,

That will help us facilitate the lifestyle that we want to have.

Then we have work,

Because work is a big chunk of time for the majority of you.

So it's about creating an intentional work that we feel,

Well,

Like,

This is my work,

Guys,

And I love doing it.

But this didn't happen overnight.

This was an intention that I said a long time ago,

In 2012.

So it's been now I'm reaping the fruits of 10 years of work.

Okay?

So,

But that was the intention,

And the consistency came year after year.

And you don't need to know how to do it,

But you need to keep in mind the intention,

The person that you want to become.

Okay?

And then the last one that we have here is giving back.

This is what are we doing in our community?

What are we doing to give back to other people?

One way for me to give up is by doing these sessions.

I do these sessions for free.

I show up every week twice.

And I truly want to help you make your life better.

I really want to share what I learned from my work so that you can implement it in your life too.

Okay?

So what's coming up for you guys in categories?

What categories are important for you in your life?

Some people say religion.

Some people say spirituality.

In our case,

We include spirituality in their mind,

But it doesn't have to be that way.

You can create the categories that you want.

So what categories are you going to create for yourself?

Just share them in the chat.

Which ones are you going to create?

So hi everyone and good morning from Toronto,

Canada.

I finally am able to join Emilio and the community.

Yay.

Welcome Liz.

Amazing.

So Liz,

We are doing an exercise on just thinking about the areas of life that we want to set intentions towards for 2022.

So I share the areas that I normally include in my intentions.

I would like you guys to create the headings of the sections that make sense to you.

So what sections make sense to you?

To create intentions.

So Kiana says money.

Amazing.

So money is a big one.

We include money in their stuff,

But you can have a money section,

Kiana.

What else?

A relationship with husband,

Animals,

Nature.

Great.

Creativity and spirituality.

Health.

Amazing.

And don't think about the to do list of the section.

Just think of the general idea of a section.

For me,

Something that is important in 2022 is the relationship with my wife.

So we are involved in a couple's program.

And one of the things that we are doing is we are doing practice together.

Mindfulness,

Melissa.

Amazing.

So one of the intentions that we have done is we are going to create intentional time every week,

Twice to do practice together as a couple.

CJ says service to others.

Amazing.

So you guys are starting to have your categories.

OK.

And it is OK if you don't have clarity yet about what categories make sense to you.

OK.

You will come up with them.

You will find them.

OK.

CJ says great reminder.

Spirituality,

Physical well-being,

Learning,

Relationships,

Home,

Work,

Exploring and traveling.

Angela,

I love it.

Amazing.

I love your headings.

They sound very inspiring to me.

Lisa says thanks,

Emilio.

OK.

And you get some ideas.

Some people already have very nice and beautiful headings.

Feel free to copy the ones that you resonate with.

OK.

If you like Angela's,

Like you say,

Wow,

That physical well-being sounds really great.

Learning sounds inspiring to me because I want to learn new things.

Just include them in yours.

And then start setting intentions that call you.

OK.

And this is the step number two.

Guys,

When you are creating intentions for the new year,

I want you to think about who do you want to become.

OK.

Amy says home,

Our new home in Sedona,

Creativity,

Expression process,

And less focus on outcome.

Amazing Amy.

So who do you want to become?

OK.

This is a great reflection opportunity for you to really close your eyes,

Be with yourself for a little bit,

Choose one of those headings,

And then say,

OK,

For example,

I'm going to take Angela's example.

She says spirituality.

So who do you want to become when it comes to spirituality?

And then you come up with a sentence that when you read that sentence,

It makes you feel really good.

Same with the physical well-being.

In my case,

For example,

Last year,

When it comes to physical,

One of my,

Like,

One of the things I wanted to become is I want to become the best squash player in my club.

So I came up something like,

I am going to be the master squash player in my club or something like that.

And guys,

Before COVID,

We have a leak.

And guess who was on the top of the leak?

When COVID hit me,

I couldn't believe it.

It's like I can't believe I was able to make it to the top.

OK,

So that was something that I was working towards.

I was playing a lot.

I was training a lot.

So it wasn't something that happened just because.

But that was one of my intentions.

OK,

So think about who do you want to become on each category?

For example,

I'm happy to share some of the ones that I brought a while ago.

OK,

So I want to become an irresistible and loving husband.

OK,

I want to become a supportive and fun friend.

I want to become a master chef of healthy and delicious food.

I want to be a curious and avid learner of new things.

I want to be the intentional living master coach.

Guys,

Be playful.

You get the idea of this.

So start creating something for yourself.

Start creating something that when you read it,

It doesn't sound overwhelming.

It sounds playful and it sounds exciting.

And then I invite you to,

When you have a heading,

For example,

Spirituality,

Just put down that sentence.

So happy to share another one.

So under my work,

Hi,

Rocío Buenos Dias,

Under my work,

I am becoming an empowering content creator.

OK,

I am becoming an inspiring and relatable community leader.

When it comes to my business,

I say I am a helpful and proactive marketing genius because marketing,

I was struggling with marketing.

I didn't know how to market my programs.

I didn't know how to find people.

So I just made that sentence.

And then that made me feel,

Well,

It's like I want to become that.

How can I do that?

I have no idea,

But I'm going to try and try and try until I find something that works.

And guess what?

I found Inside Timer.

Such a curiosity,

Such a coincidence,

Right?

You think it was a coincidence or do you think the universe like put it in front of my face because this is what you want to become Emilio?

Do it here.

This is what happens like a year ago.

So can you guys share one sentence about yours?

If you came up with one,

I would love to read it.

OK,

So think about who do you want to become on a specific category?

Something that sounds good to you and then share it in the chat.

So Amy says,

I want to become a spiritually mature woman who lives with grace and integrity.

I am tired of fighting to heal this illness.

OK.

So yeah,

I mean,

I like the first sentence.

Don't make it too long.

OK,

Just make it short enough that you can read it.

It's uplifting.

And then every time you read it,

You remind yourself of who do you want to become?

I want to become a mom who plays with her kids.

Amazing Sharon.

Emilio,

What if you change changes from passive tense to active change one to two?

I will become amazing.

I like it.

Christine,

Thank you.

I will become.

I will say actually,

Christine,

Now that I think about that,

I don't want you to say I will become.

I want you to say I am.

OK,

So you can say I am an empowering content creator.

I am a source of inspiration for resilient living.

I am a master chef of healthy and delicious food.

You can say I am because you are right now.

You are setting the intention and you are becoming one.

So you are.

You can be now OK,

So yeah,

Let's just say I am.

So what are you?

I am becoming.

I am.

I am.

I am a powerful creator who serves others through her creativity.

I love it.

Amazing.

Sure consigns inspiring guys.

Bright yours.

OK.

If it doesn't read it a few times and sit with it.

If it doesn't inspire you,

Change the wording.

It's a find a different word,

Something that inspires you.

And if it sounds too much,

If it sounds like not true to you,

Change it in a way that becomes true to you.

OK,

I am my own home no matter where I go.

I love it.

Angela,

I am a power.

I am healthy,

Healed and whole.

I am strong and full of life.

Amazing,

Lori.

I love it.

I am a delightful and gracious host in my home.

Guys you're coming up with such beautiful ones.

So once you have that,

For example,

Imagine that you say you create a sentence and then you read it and you just feel you feel resistance to it or you feel overwhelmed or you feel triggered by it.

There are two things you can do here if that happens.

OK.

Thing number one,

Take some time to really explore what's coming up here for me.

Why am I feeling triggered when I read this?

What are the beliefs that I have behind me that when I read this make me feel this way?

OK.

And if you start understanding that and you can go deeper,

Read the sentence again.

And if still feels not true to you,

Change it.

Change it in a way that feels true to you.

So for example,

If you say I am I am worthy of receiving all the love in the world.

You read that and you feel like,

Whoa,

Whoa,

Whoa,

Whoa,

Whoa.

That's way too much.

I don't feel comfortable with that.

You can say something like I am in the process of learning how to receive love from everybody in my life.

And then that puts you in a different position.

You don't know how to do it.

You don't have to do it yet.

And you are in the process of learning.

So now you have the opportunity to start exploring ideas.

How can I be better at receiving love?

How can I feel safer?

What do I need to do in order for me to feel in a place that I can receive love?

How can I love myself more?

This is just one example of a thousand that you can come up with.

OK.

OK.

Let me read some of the stuff that you're sharing.

I am becoming more kindhearted for those around me.

I haven't allowed anyone in for 10 years.

OK.

So Emio,

What would you like to create for 2022?

What's your intention behind?

This is a great reflection.

You haven't allowed anyone in for 10 years.

So what would you like to set the intention towards in 2022?

What is a sentence that feels good to you?

Remove becoming.

I am patient and compassionately accepting of others.

Amazing.

I am kindhearted.

I am healthy,

Creative,

Inspired.

I lovingly engage with life.

Love is a partner.

It's amazing.

I am who the person that and who I am.

It can feel more true if we already have even the smallest connection to the intention.

Yeah,

Becca,

Absolutely.

I am learning to ask for what I need.

I am a professional organizer that inspires and helps people live a life with clarity,

Beauty,

And systems to support their life.

Amazing,

Eh?

A professional organizer.

Nice to see you here.

Violette says,

Thank you,

Christine.

I am making a comfortable living doing what I love.

Amazing Kiana.

I would like to stop overthinking things in 2022.

Any suggestions on how to work that?

So Deborah,

Let's go a bit deeper.

What are you overthinking about?

Like right now,

What do you find yourself thinking too much about?

Is it a specific category of life or is it in general?

Words are our want.

We speak it into reality.

Lori,

Absolutely.

I am safe to be myself.

Guys,

Think that,

I don't know if you guys came to some of my sessions about the law of attraction,

But I did a series on the law of attraction that you can see in the recordings if you want,

But in those sessions,

We talk about how important it is to phrase things.

When you are phrasing things,

You are making an affirmation,

And when you make an affirmation,

You are feeling something when you read it,

And when you feel something,

That's going to connect you with something else in life.

It's a vibration,

Okay?

And that vibration is going to attract something into your life.

If your vibration is high,

You are going to attract that.

If your vibration is low,

You are going to attract low vibration.

So let me put you one example.

If you are always focusing on the negatives of life,

You are only going to see negatives of life because that's what you are putting your attention towards,

Right?

When you are focusing on the positives of your life and you are being grateful,

You are going to start seeing all the gratefulness that you have in your life,

And it is not that it's true or false.

Life has everything.

Good.

So life has no good or bad.

Life has all kinds of experiences.

You just tune into one or the other.

So you are choosing actively to tune into one or the other.

So that's why it's so important to really set the intention,

Come up with an affirmation,

And then read it out loud and then feel it,

Okay?

I am peaceful and loving.

Everybody loves me,

I guess.

I'm going to let go of things beyond my control.

Yeah,

Deborah,

That's a great point.

What others think and uncertainties in life,

Things outside of my control.

So there you go.

Deborah,

You came up with the answer yourself by just sharing in the chat.

So you know that you are focusing too much attention into things that are out of your control.

The only thing that we can guys control is how we react to life,

Okay?

Same event can have a huge different impact on different people,

Depending on how that person feels,

What that person is focusing on,

And the beliefs behind how that person is going to understand that experience.

And let me talk about death,

For example,

Because when I was traveling the world,

Death was something that I saw how different cultures react to it.

So from people being very sad and a funeral being very low vibration,

Everybody's sad,

Everything is really heavy and sadness was the focus,

To a funeral that I went by mistake when I was hiking in Myanmar,

I think it was,

And they were having a celebration,

Colorful,

Live music,

Everybody was happy,

And they believe that death is a transition to a better life,

That death is an opportunity to celebrate what that person did in life,

And everybody was happy about it.

So I was so shocked about the difference on same event,

Different reactions.

This happens in life with any event,

Okay?

So just think about you can only control how you react to life.

You cannot control how life happens,

Okay?

Life happens in certain ways,

And sometimes we don't have the control of changing that.

Emilio question,

I feel triggered like crying.

I brought the universe a little and committed to doing this one full year.

I said daily all day,

Healing is possible,

Healing is happening.

I am healthy,

Full of vitality and live life with ease.

I feel better temporarily,

But I'm not any better.

I feel devastated.

I am open to help from you,

Anyone here.

Amy,

I don't really know what you feel,

Okay?

And I know that it must be really hard having an illness that is consuming you energetically speaking and healthily speaking.

So I feel that what do you guys think Amy can do to gain motivation again,

To keep from focusing on the possibility of healing rather than on the reality that the illness is taking her?

Like what do you guys think she can do to make that a reality in 2022?

I would like support from you guys now,

Because I feel that I don't have the answer for Amy alone.

So what would you tell Amy that she can do to gain motivation,

To gain just to feel better with herself and to feel that the possibility of healing is still there?

If you guys have ideas,

Please share them in the chat,

Okay?

So now guys,

You have your list with the headings,

Okay?

Hi Rosann.

Amy,

There is a great book,

The Best Year of Your Life,

Find something you connect to and do it every day,

Getting into a pain management group.

Thank you so much guys for sharing ideas with Amy.

Hacks Amy.

Empower yourself with positive affirmations also.

Okay,

Amazing.

So great ideas that you guys are sharing with her.

Thank you so much.

So once you have the headings that make sense to you,

And once you have thought of the intention behind each heading and the person that you want to become in that specific area of your life and you have written a sentence that really makes sense to you,

Now is the time to really think about what am I going to be doing like now in the present moment to make this a reality for myself,

To start the journey,

Okay?

Start the journey.

You don't have to become that thing now.

You are already that thing.

You are going to start taking action to just include,

Be that person in your life and you can start being that person right now.

So yeah,

So this is the paper that I had and then for example,

Imagine that in my case,

I wanted to become the number one player of squash.

I wanted to become really good at playing squash.

So that was my intention.

I created a sentence that was playful and that made me laugh every time I read it and that motivated me to remind myself like,

Oh yeah,

I want to do this because squash is keeping me healthy,

It's keeping me fit,

It's very social.

So there are a lot of benefits that I get out of that.

So what can I do on a daily basis to make it a reality?

So I join a league that inspires me to play with other people and then I go to the gym at least twice or three times a week to play and train.

I do drills.

I just repeat movements and then that's what happens every day and I join yoga.

I do hot yoga twice a week.

Normally I do hot yoga and then I play squash after.

So yoga helps me with stretching,

Helps me with my mind and it's a very powerful activity.

So the combination of those two things and doing it consistently every week helped me become that.

So yeah,

So this is a chart that I had.

This is one of them.

My wife and I,

We do this chart every few months.

Every time we feel like we are lacking direction,

Any time we feel like we are not doing something fulfilling,

We go back to the chart,

We go back to creating some affirmations that are inspiring to me,

To us,

And then we just try to read them and remind ourselves.

So when you do that,

The next step is action.

So it is great to have an intention.

It is great to have that affirmation.

It is great that you are feeling well and motivated,

But guys,

If you don't take action every day,

It's not going to happen,

Right?

You have to integrate that into your life,

Whatever that is for you.

So ways to do that,

It's very important to start integrating things in your week.

Okay?

And this is an exercise that I always share with you.

Design your ideal week.

Design a week that feels good to you.

You can design a week something like this.

You can have a pen and paper,

You can have Monday to Sunday,

And then you can start coloring in the activities that you want to do in your week.

If you don't know how your week looks like,

Then I would invite you to track your week.

Okay?

And this is something that is very powerful.

When you are trying to set new intentions,

Sometimes you need to let go of something to be able to find time and energy for the new intention.

Do you guys agree with that?

Do you guys agree that in order for something new to come into your life,

You have to maybe let go of something else that is now clutter?

It's something that is not relevant for you anymore?

So the same way that you declutter your home of things that you no longer need,

And you create an environment that you love,

You can do the same thing with your week.

Can you?

Yes or no?

Can you find our most precious resource?

Yes or no?

Time is the only thing that is finite,

The only thing that runs out,

Right?

You can always have more money,

You can always have more stuff,

But you can never have more time.

You only have 24 hours every day.

So your time and your energy,

Feeling well,

Being healthy,

Those are the two most important resources that you have,

The most precious ones.

So now that you have your intentions and the headings and a sentence that makes you feel excited about,

Now is the time to come up with what am I going to be doing on a weekly basis to make this a reality?

And then think about the person that you want to become and ask that person,

Hey,

For example,

In my case,

Hey Emilio,

Master of squash,

What would you do on a weekly basis to be that?

And then I will say,

Well,

I will play squash three times a week.

I will train and practice my shots.

I will play games with people better than me.

I may watch some YouTube videos and see if someone else can give me some other tips.

I may take a lesson from a pro.

So you see,

I start coming up with ideas.

But then when you want to integrate new things in your life,

This is what I do sometimes when I feel that I have no idea what's going on in my life,

This is what I do.

I track my week.

So I start Monday to Sunday and I just keep track of everything that I do.

Once I do this for a couple of times,

Couple of weeks,

So this is the second week.

So I do this a couple of weeks sometimes and then I know what I'm doing.

Then I know,

Okay,

How can I create a week that includes everything that I want and need?

And that's when I do the exercise that looks like this.

And my wife does it in her journal.

And I do it on my phone.

Once I have this,

I put it on my phone because I have my calendar on my phone and that's okay.

So you start putting in your week the things that you want to see.

And then you start testing that.

You start reminding yourself,

Okay,

I want to be a master yoga meditator or whatever,

Whatever sentence you came up with.

And then you start,

People say,

I started decluttering in small increments,

One kitchen drawer,

Et cetera.

So Cecilia,

You may come up with a sentence that is about your home and how you feel in your home.

Maybe you can say something like,

I am a master declutterer and I am able to create a beautiful environment for me and my family.

Whatever comes up for you that sets the intention for the new year.

Okay.

So once you do that,

And once you track your week,

You start creating an ideal week that makes sense to you.

And why so important to do a week?

Because a week is the reality.

You only have that much time.

And then once you get started putting everything in your week,

You are going to run like everybody else into the problem that,

Wow,

I have way more activities than time.

So this doesn't work.

It doesn't fit here.

And when that happens,

That's a great opportunity for you to prioritize,

To really think about how can I make my week more intentional?

How can I make my week more sustainable?

Okay.

And then you will track it.

Okay.

You will track it and then you will make sure that you are starting to do the activities that you want to be doing.

Laurie says,

According to Eckhart Tolle,

Time is not precious at all.

Time is an illusion.

The now is precious.

When we focus on the past and future,

The more you miss the now.

Yeah.

And this is so true,

Laurie.

This is so true.

That's why in order for you to be able to be in the now,

To be able to flow,

You need to understand who you are.

You need to understand what you want.

You need to make sure that you create an environment,

Physically speaking,

Emotionally speaking,

Mentally speaking,

Where you can be in the now.

Because the only action happens in the now.

Okay.

Everything that we are saying here is going to happen in the now.

So you are going to meditate in the now.

I am going to play squash in the now.

You are going to declutter in the now,

In the present moment.

Okay.

There is no decluttering in the future and there is no decluttering in the past.

Nothing happens in the past or the future.

Things only happen in the present moment.

Okay.

So that's why it's so important to what am I going to be doing in the present moment?

And then having the clarity about it.

And then when you do exercises like this one,

That's helping you set the intention,

Set the direction that feels good to you.

And then you start to flow.

And this is where you want to get to.

You want to get to that flow state where your life is flowing,

Where it feels good to you,

Where you are seeing the things that make you feel well,

Because in the present moment,

You are doing something that is creating that.

Okay.

So once you have your ideal week with your intentions,

You can track your habits.

You can create a habit tracker that looks like this.

Okay.

And these are all tools to help you be present,

To help you be intentional.

Okay.

For example,

Like my wife,

This is my wife's like a habit tracker.

One example.

Okay.

She says,

I want to journal.

So in here,

She writes down what she journals and when she doesn't.

So now she can see very clearly that,

Wow,

I'm not journaling as much as I would like to.

So what can I do in the present moment to change that?

And that's when strategies can happen.

For example,

And I have talked about this before,

Like habit stacking.

Okay.

So habit stacking is stacking a new habit into an existing one.

I love drinking coffee.

I do it every morning.

It happens automatically.

Okay.

So.

Okay.

So if you like drinking coffee in the morning,

Like I do,

What would happen if you decide to include something new in your life?

For example,

I want to meditate for like 30 seconds and you do this.

So you go to your coffee market every morning.

You want to have a coffee and guess what?

You are reminded with a note that says,

Do that thing.

Meditate.

Journal.

Be grateful.

Give your husband or wife a kiss,

Whatever it is.

And then you write yourself a beautiful note that says you can do this,

Or maybe you can write a quote,

Or maybe you can make something that will make you laugh.

Okay.

So every morning you have the intention of putting that there and then,

Sorry,

Every night.

And then when you're going to have a coffee,

Because you always have a coffee and you don't have to think about it,

You are reminded with that.

You can do the same if you get up in the morning and the first thing that you do is look at your phone.

Guess what?

You have your phone charging.

Boom.

I'm going to look at my phone because that's automatic,

Right?

Oh,

What's this?

Oh yeah.

I wanted to do that thing.

So you are reminded again.

So what happens when you do this?

Okay.

How long it takes to create a new habit,

Guys?

How long it takes to create a new habit?

Forty-two days,

21 days,

30 days.

Amazing.

67 days,

Six weeks,

21 days.

Okay.

Let me ask you one thing.

How fast are you going to create a habit?

If you write down something in your journal and you look at your journal once a week,

How fast are you going to remind yourself,

I want to do this and I'm doing it?

How fast?

Not fast.

How fast are you going to create a new habit if every single day you have a reminder on top of whatever you already do?

How fast are you going to create a habit if you are going to repeat it every single day?

Much faster every day.

Guys,

What's a habit?

What is a habit in the first place?

What is a habit?

A constant repetition.

Absolutely Roxanne,

A routine.

So it's something that you have repeated probably a thousand times,

Right?

Something that we do repeatedly.

So then let me ask you again,

How fast,

How long it takes to create a new habit?

30 days.

Daily practice.

It will depend.

It depends on how much,

How many times you repeat the habit,

Don't it?

What happens if you remind yourself every single day,

Three times that you want to meditate and you create a space,

You have alerts in your calendar,

You have stickers,

You have a person that is checking on you and every single day,

Three times,

Something,

Someone,

You are reminded like,

I want to meditate.

Even if you sit for five seconds and you get up,

What happens when you repeat that three times every day?

Do you think your brain is going to remember in a week?

So seven days times three is 21 times.

So 21 repetitions.

Do you think your brain is going to be familiar with the idea of sitting down to meditate?

Yes or no?

Light speed.

Because you have repeated it so many times and your brain is like,

Wow,

Every day I'm sitting three times.

Even if you sit for five seconds,

Guys,

Even if you don't do a full meditation,

The habit is created.

Is it or not?

The habit of sitting down and closing your eyes for five seconds,

It is created.

So how easy it is to increase from five seconds to 30 seconds.

Once you have done all the routine and you are sitting down,

How easy it is for you to remain 30 seconds instead of five seconds with your eyes closed.

Is it easy or difficult?

Yeah,

So how easy it is for you to stretch from five seconds to 30 seconds once you are sitting and with your eyes closed.

It's much easier,

Right?

Why is it easier?

Because you have already repeated the process of reminding yourself,

Sitting down,

Closing your eyes and then being like that for five seconds,

30 seconds or even five minutes is not difficult.

What's difficult is remembering and it's actually making the time and actually doing it.

Because you have done it 21 times,

Three times a day for seven days,

You are more likely to sit down.

It's going to feel natural to you.

It's going to feel like a habit that you have already created.

And what happens when you repeat that for a full month?

How easy is it going to be for you to meditate?

You have to even think about it or your mind will just sit you down and do it.

So this is how you guys create new habits.

This is how the process of setting an intention for the new year.

We started with coming up with the categories that make sense for you in your life.

Once you have the categories,

You came up with a sentence that inspires you.

Once you have a sentence that inspires you,

You then track your time in a way that you understand where your time is going.

And then you set the intention to create a different week,

Including the things that you want to integrate.

And then you test it.

You take action in the now,

Because we can only take action in the present moment.

You track your habits.

You make sure that you are doing what you want to be doing.

And then you use playful techniques to remind yourself every single day of what you want to do,

Who you want to become,

And why.

Okay?

So imagine that you have a note that says,

Emilio,

I love you.

You want to meditate every day.

When you meditate,

You feel X,

Y,

And Z,

And your life is going to become X.

You are already that.

And every day I read that three times.

Every time I have a coffee,

I have to read that note.

That's how you make progress.

That's how you set the intention and start doing something.

Okay?

Emilio,

I feel like the Instatime teachers are in my head.

The more I listen to them,

They are always with us.

Okay?

So what's coming up for you guys with this?

What do you think of New Year's intentions?

Rosemary says,

I now set a morning and afternoon timer on my phone to appreciate two huger moments so far in my day.

Worked so well.

Now I don't sit down at the end of my day with a blank mind.

Looking at my gratitude,

You're not.

It's on my daily habit tracker too.

I wanted to become more appreciative of my life.

Amazing,

Rosemary.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Don't like them.

So Roxanne says don't like them.

So you don't like setting intentions,

Roxanne?

We can start at any time.

I like having something in writing as a reminder.

Yeah,

Guys.

And let me think one thing.

Let's talk about this for a second before we end the session.

I myself,

Sometimes I set the intention and I put something on my phone.

And I can tell you that sometimes I pick my phone to do something and guess what happens?

I just get distracted.

I open my phone because I wanted to maybe take my to do list.

And then oh,

There is an email.

Oh,

There is a Facebook message.

Oh,

A student can enroll in the course.

Oh,

I have to.

And then guess what?

Did I go to my to do list?

Did I actually remind myself of,

Oh,

I wanted to meditate.

No,

It's just in the background.

There is so much noise in front of me that I couldn't get to the background.

What happens when I grab this?

I open it.

And then I see this inside,

Right?

I open my journal.

And I see,

Oh,

My self-care list.

Oh,

Wow.

I made a self-care list.

Oh,

Wow.

So things I can do in less than five minutes.

Things that I can do with Eva.

Things that I can do with my wife.

So what happens when I see this every single time I open my journal?

Do you think am I going to be to do self-care more often?

Yes or no?

No.

So absolutely yes,

Because I'm not distracted.

Because I am setting the intention.

And what happens when I open my journal and I see only what I want to be doing at that specific moment?

I am in the present moment.

And I am choosing to do self-care for myself.

So I open my journal.

And the only thing that I have is what I want to do.

OK?

So for example,

Just to finish the session,

One of my intentions for 2022,

As I shared,

Is to do practice with my wife.

So a few things.

My wife changed the entire setup of our bedroom.

She created this beautiful space where we can practice together.

OK?

And then this is what I created.

I just brought down the name of the program,

Depth and Devotion.

And then I set my intention here.

Emilio,

What do you have to do according to this category?

OK?

So in my case,

I have,

OK,

Emilio,

On my own,

I need to go to module three practice.

And I need to do the day-long immersion.

I have to repeat that exercise.

And I need to come up with my own needs.

And I have to write them down.

OK?

And then with Samantha and Eva,

Sorry,

Samantha and Emilio,

Because we do two practices every week,

Monday morning,

And Samantha takes care of that.

And Thursday night,

Today,

I have to take care of that.

I have to organize that.

So I have the ones that I will do next three weeks.

But this came from me going to the program,

Setting the intention,

Looking at the practices,

And then deciding what I wanted to do.

So how easy it is for me to now,

When Thursday comes today,

Nighttime comes,

I am in charge of the practice.

I look at this.

How easy it is for me to do it?

How easy it is for me to do the practice,

To find what I wanted to do?

Is it easy,

Or is it difficult?

What do you think?

Is it easy or difficult?

It's right there.

OK?

How easy it is for me to find it here?

How likely am I to get distracted with this?

So that's why sometimes you have to be proactive and intentional.

And especially when you are trying to create new habits that still don't exist,

You have to really be diligent.

You have to be really in the present moment.

As someone says,

The only thing that exists is the present moment.

And the only way that you can be in the present moment is by reminding yourself to be in the present moment.

OK?

And to make sure that you are doing in the present moment what you wanted to do.

Know what life is throwing at you.

OK?

So this is what I have for you guys today.

Next week,

I'm going to be doing two meditations.

One is going to be to really find out what your intentions are for 2022.

It's going to be a meditation.

I may have the singing balls,

And I may direct you through different areas and see how you feel.

And then the other one on Thursday is going to be a gratefulness meditation.

It's going to be a gratefulness where we are going to see,

Reflect about 2021,

And we are going to find all the good stuff that happened.

Because guys,

We are so focused on the negatives,

On COVID,

Everything bad that happened.

But how many times do we allow ourselves the time to look at the good stuff that happened?

Because let me tell you,

There are a thousand things that are really good,

But we just don't forget about them.

Because we are so focused on COVID,

I'm going to get sick.

This is going to happen,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

And we forget to look at the good stuff too.

Okay.

So next week,

By the way,

It's going to be a 2 p.

M.

Decision.

Why?

Because my daughter doesn't have daycare,

And I have to take care of her.

I am in charge of her on Tuesdays and Thursdays all morning.

Okay.

So unless you want to have Eva running around and driving us crazy,

I move them to 2 p.

M.

Only next week.

Okay.

So next week will be 2 p.

M.

My time.

Okay.

I am patient.

I love it.

And guys,

If you are interested in taking this deeper,

My workshops are open.

Okay.

So if you have the intention to join,

Don't wait too long.

Just join before spots run out in case they do.

Okay.

Hi Eva.

Yeah.

Today she's in daycare.

What is your time zone?

A,

My time zone is Easter Standard Time.

It's Toronto time.

Okay.

How many spots at Roxanne?

I think it was 100,

I believe it was.

I would love to see Eva's energy.

Wow,

We can,

But then I won't be guiding you in a meditation.

I will be doing a craft with her or something.

Yeah.

When is the workshop?

So Monica,

The workshops.

Another example of guys,

Another example of intention.

I really wanted to be intentional about sharing the workshops with you.

So this is what I did.

Okay.

I dedicated a page on my journal with the two workshops that I'm going to be doing.

And then I have the dates.

So the first workshop is embrace minimalism in your life.

And then it's on Monday,

17,

January 17th and Monday,

January 24th at 10 a.

M.

Easter time.

Okay.

There are only 100 spots.

And then you can find,

If you go to my profile on Inside Timer,

There is a tab that says workshops.

You click in there and then you can click on one of the two workshops and then you can see all the information.

There is a video that explains what it is about,

And then you can see what you will learn.

But basically a recap is,

Are you ready to open up space,

Time and energy for the things that really matter to you?

So how will your life look like if you did this?

And how will your life look like if you don't change anything?

What are you going to be missing out on?

How is your life going to be better or worse if you take action or if you don't?

It's very important to always think about that.

What is the cost of inaction?

Okay.

How much is costing you not taking the action on the things that feel good to you?

Okay.

And this is something very important,

Guys.

Look at the workshop,

Watch the video,

And if it doesn't resonate with you,

Don't do it.

But if it does,

Do it.

Okay.

So start owning your decisions.

Start looking at things with intention and really question everything.

Is this important for me right now?

Yes or no?

Is this something that I feel like doing right now?

Yes or no?

And then ideally it will be a hard yes or a hard no.

And if you are in between,

Let it sit for a little bit.

Meditate on it.

Maybe throw a card and see what the card tells you.

Just ask a friend,

Have a conversation with people,

Do whatever you need to do to gain clarity.

And then you come back and say,

I'm going to pass.

Or you come back and say,

I am 100% committed to this.

And then whoever comes to my workshop,

I want them to be 100% committed.

Because then they are going to take action.

And you know that action only happens in the present moment.

So you have to be the one willing to do the work.

I will be guiding you,

But you have to do the work.

So if it doesn't feel aligned with you,

If you don't have the time,

If you don't,

Then don't do it because it's going to be a waste of your time.

Okay.

Yeah.

So I will be talking about the workshops in the next sessions too.

And if you have any other questions about that,

Just use the circle or just message me.

Okay.

And that's it for today guys.

Let's close the session with just a couple of deep breaths.

Yeah.

Merry Christmas for all of you too.

Thank you CJ.

I will see you after Christmas on Tuesday.

Make sure that you don't eat too much.

Enjoy whatever you are doing and stay safe.

And please work on your intentions for 2022.

Write the headings,

Come up with a nice sentence that defines,

Describes the person that you want to become.

Something that makes you laugh,

Something that makes you feel inspired.

Okay.

And then start thinking about how am I going to integrate this into my life now?

Okay.

Have a wonderful rest of your day and a wonderful Christmas and weekend.

And I will see you on Tuesday at 2 PM.

Okay.

Hasta la vista.

Adios.

Good luck.

Coffee.

Chieflywide Tarpackageillterns.
