
Introduction To Archetypes & Their Shadows (Recording)
Archetypes are a fascinating way to become aware of how we use/misuse the different energies we have access to. In this session, we will dive into what archetypes/shadows are, the different kinds of archetypes/shadows, and how you may embody them in your life.

Welcome again to another session with me.
My name is Emilio José Garcia.

And I call this Your Thriving Lifestyle.

That's the name of my podcast.
And that's the name that I like for these sessions because I am trying to help you create your thriving lifestyle.
Okay,
And today's topic is about Archetypes.
It's an introduction to Archetypes and Shadow Work.
Okay,
Some of you may be familiar with what Archetypes are and what Shadow Work is.
Some of you maybe it's the first time that you hear that work and you have no idea what that is.
It's okay.
Either way,
Welcome here.
I'm gonna try to make this very simple.
I myself,
I'm just getting started with this.
I was introduced to Archetypes around two years ago.
Okay,
I started,
I joined a men's circle.
We normally meet once a week.
And then when we were doing the rounds and we were sharing,
People were bringing up the Archetypes.
The warrior,
The lover,
The magician,
The king.
And I was just thinking,
What are we?
Are we in a story here?
What is this?
Because it sounded very symbolic,
Very esoteric to me,
Right?
And some of the names really honestly triggered me like warrior.
It's like,
I don't want to be a warrior.
I don't want to kill people.
I don't want to be violent.
That's what came for me when I was listening to these names,
Right?
So if you feel triggered with the names,
Just change them for something different.
Okay?
Because you will learn what Archetypes are and we just need to find a name for them.
But you can change the name if the name triggers you.
Okay?
So let's get started with a quick practice.
Just to ease into the session,
To transition.
Okay?
I invite you to close your eyes.
Just get comfortable.
And just take a couple of deep breaths with me.
Thank you for doing this with me.
It really helps me get grounded and I hope it does help you to get grounded and just ready to receive.
I'm ready to create this container of energy that we are creating together today.
Okay?
Because we are all here at the same time.
We are all interested in the same topic and we are going to create something beautiful all together today.
So I want to honor that.
I want to honor you guys for being here.
I want to honor your presence.
And I am very excited to share about this because this is something that I'm still learning about.
This is something that is still pretty new for me.
So what is an Archetype?
Okay?
An Archetype,
It's pretty much,
Simplistically speaking,
It's a pattern of behaviors and thought.
Okay?
They are patterns of behaviors and thoughts.
They are kind of personality traits.
They are universal models of energy that we can tap into throughout our day.
Okay?
So you can tap into being courageous.
You can tap into being loving.
You can tap into being compassionate.
You can tap into being connected.
You can tap into creativity.
Okay?
So you can tap into different kinds of energies.
And the Archetypes are kind of universal models that we can all,
We all experience them in our lives.
And we all can benefit from becoming aware of them and using them to create balance and harmony in our lives.
Okay?
So that's what Archetype means.
Okay?
Some of the Archetypes that I'm going to talk about today,
They are male and female,
Masculine and feminine Archetypes.
But I believe that they are all,
We all have that kind of Archetype in different ways,
But we all tap into them.
So some of the Archetypes that I'm going to be talking about,
And I will dive deeper into them,
Is for masculine,
The king,
The warrior,
The lover,
And the magician.
Okay?
And for feminine,
There are a few more.
There is the queen,
The lover,
The mystic,
The huntress,
The maiden,
The wisdom woman,
And mother.
Okay?
These are some of the main ones that I have found.
Again,
You may find more energy types in your life that you connect with,
And that's fine.
This is just a simplistic way to help you become aware of the different kinds of energies that we all experience throughout our day.
So that's what Archetype means.
Really understanding the kinds of energy,
And we kind of put a name to that kind of energy so that you can recognize it when it shows up,
Or that you can nurture it if you want more of it in your life.
And I will share in a moment what the traits are of those Archetypes.
Okay?
I want to define what shadows and shadow work is.
What is this shadow?
So shadows are negative and often automatic and unintentional,
And many times unconscious response to events,
To people,
And to situations.
Okay?
So if I take a kind of energy,
For example,
The king archetype,
The king energy,
The king energy provides protection,
Security,
Creates order,
Creates a structure for other people to be able to be.
When you embrace the king energy,
You are creating something that is bigger than yourself.
You are not self-centered.
You are being brotherhood,
You are providing for others,
You are supporting them.
Okay?
That's one polarity of that archetype.
The shadow will be the opposite.
Okay?
So every kind of energy has like two faces,
Two polarities.
The shadow for the king archetype will be someone that is self-serving,
Someone that is abusing power in their own benefit,
Someone that doesn't care about others.
Someone that is tyrannical,
Insular.
So those are the,
That's the opposite,
Right?
So when you are experiencing the king energy in yourself,
You can have either poles.
And that's your work.
When you identify that you are doing something unconscious that you don't like and you want to change,
That's what we call shadow work.
Okay?
And let me put a clear example,
Something very easy for you to understand.
I talk about physical clutter a lot,
Or time management,
Or something that you want to improve in your life.
Stop procrastinating a task that is really important to you.
So the positive aspect will be for you to tap into an energy that allows you to really see what's going on,
Really start taking action to change your situation,
Gain clarity about what you really want,
And then embrace that change with action,
Positive action that allows you to stop procrastinating,
Allows you to start taking action,
Allows you to stop being hard on yourself.
Okay?
The shadow work will be to really face the resistance that you are feeling.
When you are trying to change,
You are going to start facing resistance.
That resistance can be,
Can show up in many different ways.
That can be negative self-talk.
You may be telling yourself,
Emilio,
You are not good enough to do this.
Emilio,
You don't deserve this.
Emilio,
That's too complicated for you.
Emilio,
No one is going to benefit from what you are trying to do.
That's weird.
You see,
That's resistance.
That's negative self-talk,
Limiting beliefs that maybe I learned when I was little.
Emilio,
Who are you to talk out?
Shut up.
Emilio,
Stop playing.
You are wasting your time.
Do something more important.
So when I try to embrace playfulness,
When I try to be confident,
That's going to show up for me.
Okay?
That's my own personal story and case.
Okay?
So if you are trying to declutter your home,
For example,
That I know many of you are trying to do that or doing that,
Many times the resistance will show up.
You don't know how to do this.
Your family is not going to support you.
Blah,
Blah,
Blah.
So the shadow work here will be for you to be able to dive deeper into those limiting beliefs,
To start doing work around bringing presence,
Reflecting about your thinking,
Your actions,
And then do something different.
Start taking different kind of action.
Okay?
And really with compassion for yourself,
With forgiveness for yourself,
With empathy for yourself and for others.
That's what shadow work means.
Okay?
That's why it's important for you.
And the main takeaway that I want for you from this session is just basically two main takeaways.
The first one is for you to start becoming aware,
Bringing more presence into these different kinds of energies,
These archetypes that I am going to share so that you can start understanding them.
You start noticing them,
How they show up,
And you can start embodying them more if that's what you want,
To bring more balance into your life.
And you are going to learn how they interact with each other.
Okay?
And the second main piece I want you to take from here is to do your shadow work.
Anytime you notice that you are misusing that kind of energy in a negative way,
In a way that is not serving you,
In a way that is not helping you do create what you want,
Become the person that you want,
I want you to be able to go there.
I want you to be able to start working through that,
Understanding why is this here?
Is this really true?
What can I do next time this shows up in my life?
What kind of energy do I need to tap into to start moving forward through this?
Okay?
So these are the two main takeaways I want you to take away from this session for you.

So let me just,
Before I get started sharing the archetypes,

Is there a shadow end to everything?
Like a positive opposite to every negative thought based on extremely negative situations?
Yeah,
Steve,
Good question.
And I believe there is.
And if you look in nature,
There are always opposites for everything,
Right?
Like there is sun and there is like shadow.
There is light and darkness.
There is the positive and the negative if you are looking at electricity.
There is happiness and sadness.
And many times if you don't experience sadness,
Maybe you are not able to experience happiness because you don't know what that is.
You don't know,
You cannot tell the difference.
So anytime you are tapping into a kind of energy,
Yeah,
You can tap into the shadow piece of it.
Okay?
So I can tap into being a warrior.
Okay?
And being a warrior can mean I am fighting internally for what I really want.
I am looking in my shadows.
I am looking into my behaviors that are unconscious to me right now.
I am bringing presence and I am becoming aware and I want to change them so that I can do what I want to do in life.
That can be a positive warrior energy.
A negative warrior energy,
The shadow will be to use that power and violence and that energy against other people.
Okay?
You can become a bully.
You can become someone violent,
Someone that doesn't respect others' opinions.
And you can tap into that energy anytime you feel triggered.
Okay?
So you can use that energy when you feel triggered by someone or by something.
You can use that energy to fight with them,
Not physically,
Just argue with them.
Or you can use that energy to look inside of yourself and say,
Wow,
Why am I so triggered here?
What do I need to learn?
Same kind of energy,
Channel differently.
One kind is channeled inwards and the other kind is channeled outwards.
So that's one example.
And the more you read and the more you become aware of archetypes,
The more you will start noticing how you personally use these energies in your day to day life.
So I invite you,

To start paying attention.
Start taking notes if you need to and start observing how you use energies throughout the day.
What kind of energies are showing up?

I was really thinking about this session and I was afraid,
To be honest,
Because this session is huge.
There is so much content.
It's very esoteric sometimes.
It's very mystical.
It's very deep.
Every archetype is really deep.
So I'm just introducing you to these ideas so that you can get started in your journey and then you can maybe feel inspired to read more about these archetypes.
Okay?
So let's get started with diving into the archetypes so that you start understanding the different ones.
And again,
Guys,
If you don't like the names,
If you don't like the names,
Change them for a name that feels good to you.
The name is just a label that we put into it.
Majority of this content is coming from Carl Jung.
Okay?
He was a psychologist.
He was very huge in archetypes and he has a lot of stuff that you can read about that goes really deep.
Sometimes it's way too deep for me,
For my understanding.
I cannot grasp it.
That's the reality for me right now.
But I'm starting to understand the main concepts here.
And that's what I want you to get from today.
Okay?
So the first archetype,
And these are masculine archetypes,
Okay?
But again,
If you are a woman,
You will notice that archetype in yourself too.
And you will notice in the female ones,
There will be someone similar.
So the first one is the king.
The king archetype.
The king provides protection,
Security,
And order out of the chaos of the world.
He's centered,
Decisive,
And can inspire and lead others.
Okay?
So that's the energy.
Okay?
That's the energy of the king that you can experience.
And again,
If you don't like the name king,
Come up with a name that feels good to you.
Okay?
I don't want you to feel triggered.
Because if you are reading this and you feel triggered by the name,
Then you are not going to do any work around it.
Okay?
I just want you to.
.
.
That's how people call it,
But change the name if you want to.
The next one may trigger you too.
The next archetype is called the warrior.
Okay?
The warrior.
The warrior archetype is about action,
Determination,
Strength,
And courage.
To battle anything that life throws at us.
He fights for worthy causes.
He's skillful and disciplined.
Okay?
I am saying he because,
Guys,
I want you to start learning to detach yourself from these energies.
Okay?
It's very important,
Especially when you are doing shadow work,
It's very important to be able to detach and separate yourself from the actions and from the energy that you embody throughout the day.
Because they will change.
And you have the ability and the control to tap into different ones if you want.
Okay?
So the warrior archetype,
Guys,
Is beautiful.
It is not about war.
It is not about being violent against other people.
That will be the shadow of the warrior.
The warrior is going inward.
The warrior is determination,
Not procrastinating things.
About fighting for what you really want in life.
Deciding what you want and going for it with confidence.
And being able to do the shadow work that is required for you to move forward in whatever area of life you are working through.
By shining the light to the resistance,
Limiting beliefs,
And any unconscious behavior that you may be experiencing.
Okay?
So this is a really good energy to be able to tap into.
The next archetype is the lover.
The lover represents emotional intimacy and support.
When he's balanced,
When the lover archetype is balanced,
The lover can provide an empathetic listening ear and offer a shoulder to cry on when needed.
He has a natural empathy for others as well as being intuitive about people's needs.
So you are able to read people's needs.
You are able to be compassionate.
You are able to listen.
And people normally feel very comfortable sharing with you when you are in that kind of energy.
And again,
We all can tap into that kind of energy.
And if we don't do it often or we don't know how to,
There are ways for you and practices to be able to tap into that energy,
The lover energy.
Okay?
So the lover energy is love,
Connection,
Empathy,
Forgiveness,
Enjoy life's pleasures.
Everything is enjoyable.
Eating,
Drinking water,
Going for a walk.
Everything becomes joy,
Love,
Connection.
Okay?
One of the things about the lover that you have to be aware of is that the lover is all emotional feelings.
It's very like all over the place.
So it lacks structure.
So a shadow for the lover is lack of structure.
It's always being floating around,
Not committing,
Not having structure.
It's just being.
Okay?
The warrior,
The king are all about doing,
Creating structure.
So that's why you start seeing here how you need to step into these kind of energies at the same time.
You need to balance them.
Okay?
Because if you are always on your warrior,
But you don't have any lover energy in you,
People are going to be afraid of you.
You are going to be too aggressive to.
But if you embrace the warrior energy and the lover energy at the same time,
Now you are fighting for something that is worthy in a playful,
Loving and empathetic way.
And this is beautiful.
This is what you want in your life.
You want to bring that balance between the archetypes.
Okay?
There is a time to be a king.
There is a time for structure.
There is a time for just being.
And there is a time for not doing anything and enjoy the present moment.
Okay?
There is a time for everything.
And you need to start learning how to read the moment and learning what the moment needs from you.
And then you tap into these energies when you need to.
Okay?
So,
So far we have done the king,
The warrior,
The lover.
And the fourth one is the magician.
Okay?
I like the magician a lot.
He's creative.
He's inventive.
He's playful.
And he adds new ideas into the world.
He's reflective.
He's knowledgeable.
He's a great problem solver.
Okay?
He's the kind of person that,
The kind of energy that will find a solution out of the box that no one has thought about.
And it will be amazing.
Okay?
So the magician is,
Again,
It's an energy that you need to bring in,
Combined with the other ones.
And I invite you to,
Now that you are aware of these four kinds of energy and what they do,
I invite you to start paying attention in your day-to-day life on how you step into these energies.
How are you using them?
Maybe you notice,
Like,
This is something that I noticed.
Wow,
I really want more of my lover archetype in my life.
Sometimes I am too structured.
I am too king and warrior,
But I don't,
I'm not playful enough.
I'm not loving enough.
And I don't allow for connection to happen when I am being a king.
Okay?
So that,
That's,
That made me aware of,
Like,
Wow,
How can I step into my lover at the same time that I have structure,
At the same time that I am being a warrior?
And how can I balance that?
How does that look like in my day,
In my week,
In my month?
And this is going to help you create your week with more intention.
Okay?
So let me read,
Before I move into the female ones,
Let me read some,
Is there a shadow for the magician?
Yeah,
Guys,
All the archetypes have shadows.
Okay?
All of them have shadows.
So what I said that are the positive traits of the archetype,
If you do the opposite,
That will be the shadow.
Okay?
And there are different kinds of shadows for each archetype.
It gets really complicated.
And that's why I don't want to bring everything in here today,
Because then you're going to run away from here.
Today is just basic,
Is just an introduction.
And I want to plant a seed in your head.
I want you to get curious about,
I want to learn more about the lover today.
And maybe for a whole week,
You are just working with the lover archetype.
You are reading about it.
You are embodying that.
You are looking for exercises you can do.
You are learning about the different shadows that the lover archetype may have.
You are noticing the shadows in yourself,
In your life.
You are working and doing the shadow work about that.
And maybe you stay there for a few weeks,
Just with the lover.
And maybe after you feel inspired to tap into the warrior.
And then you do the same process.
Okay?
So you don't have to do all of this all at once,
Because it can be overwhelming.
So Steve says,
Are archetypes only app positive types,
King,
Lover,
Magician,
Etc.
Serious when I ask,
What about the covert?
Yeah,
The fool,
The warrior.
Are these archetypes or that's the shadow side you are talking about?
Yeah,
Steve,
Right now I am just sharing the archetypes.
That's the kind of energy that is uplifting and positive.
Every archetype has a shadow,
More than one.
Okay?
So when you are talking about the covert,
All of those things,
Like,
There are like a triangle kind of idea concept.
And then the king is on the top.
And then there are different kinds of shadows depending what kind of energies you embody.
So it can get very complicated.
And yes,
There are shadows for every archetype.
Okay?
So,
For example,
Let me just bring you an example.
So let's take the warrior.
Okay,
The positive traits of the warrior.
They are providing protective,
Equality,
And then providing safe space for others.
What are some of the shadows?
Bullying,
Being cruel,
Being sadistic,
Being masochistic,
Being self-centered,
Being selfish.
Abusing power.
Okay?
So that's just one example of the both sides of that energy.
So you can step into either way.
So that's why you need to find your balance.
And that's why it's important that you start observing how you use them.
With compassion,
With empathy,
And with reflection.
And then you start bringing presence to your day-to-day life.
And the more presence you bring and the more aware you become,
The more you start using your metacognition skill,
An executive functioning skill,
To start doing something different.
To start detaching yourself from the energies,
As I was saying,
Watching yourself from the outside,
And then looking at yourself.
Wow,
Emilio,
In that situation,
You were very cruel.
You didn't step into empathy.
You didn't listen actively.
And that person didn't feel heard from you.
So,
Wow,
Like I didn't notice that.
So what can I do next time?
How can I bring more of my lower energy into that situation?
How can I do something different?
And that's when you use your magician,
Your magician archetype to be creative,
To solve the problem,
To do something different,
To be more playful.
To do whatever it takes for you to be able to find the balance that that situation needed.
Okay.
And this is what I want you guys to take,
To think about.
Every situation will require something from you.
Okay.
You need to be able to start learning how to read the situation and start learning how to tap into the different archetypes in a recipe that works for that specific situation.
Some situations you need to be a warrior and you need to go for it with confidence,
With strength,
With courage.
And that's it.
You don't have to be a lover.
You have to be a warrior.
Sometimes you have to be a warrior and a lover at the same time.
Sometimes you have to be a king.
And this is something I have to do for my wife because I will talk about male and female energies,
Right?
Female energy is all about being.
Okay.
Musculine energy is all about doing,
Structure.
And masculine and feminine,
I don't refer to genders here.
We all have masculine and feminine energies inside of us.
Okay.
Men and women.
And it doesn't matter what sex you are.
You have those two energies.
Sometimes you are more masculine.
Sometimes you are more feminine.
But sometimes I need to be a tree for my wife.
I need to be something sturdy that she can hold to because she's in this wave of emotions.
She's just being,
Right?
And she doesn't need me to be in there.
She needs me to be strong,
To be centered,
To be focused.
She needs me to provide structure for her at that specific moment while being a lover,
While listening,
While not using my logic to fix her.
So I have to be present for her in that capacity.
So that's an example of how I need to use my king and my lover archetypes in a combined way.
Okay.
So I know that this is a lot of information.
But again,
The more work you do around this,
The more you read about this,
The more these things are going to start sinking in your brain.
And the more you are going to start paying attention to them.
Okay.
Let's move into the woman archetypes.
Okay.
The queen archetype.
This is the same as the king for men.
The woman,
They just call it queen.
When I say they,
I just went online.
There are lots of books out there.
There are resources you can read,
YouTube videos,
Podcasts.
So you can digest this information in the best way you can.
Okay.
In my way,
Sometimes it's listening and sometimes it's watching a video.
Okay.
Reading sometimes it's okay,
But I get lost in reading.
So reading for me is not the best way for me to digest this information.
I want someone to share it.
Okay.
So learn what your method of learning is.
Do you want to read this information?
Do you want to listen to it?
Do you want to watch a video and then choose that method and start learning?
Okay.
So for woman,
The queen,
Same as the king,
The lover,
Same as the lover,
The mystic.
That's similar to the magician.
Okay.
The mystic in the woman is a woman that creates life.
You woman are mystic because you create life.
If it weren't because of you,
There wouldn't be life on earth,
Right?
So you are the source and you just provide life.
That's the difference between the mystic and the magician for woman and male.
Like we males,
We don't provide life.
We help,
But we are not the life providers as you guys are,
The woman.
The huntress.
The only type for woman is the huntress.
And that will be similar to the warrior.
Okay.
Woman,
You will all fight if you must to take care of your family.
Okay.
You will.
You will do whatever it takes to take care of your children,
Whatever it takes to provide,
To protect your family.
That's what you will do.
And you see this in nature.
Like woman,
Like females,
Moms become ferocious when they have little ones around.
They will protect them with their own lives.
That's what they will do.
Okay.
But woman are not born to be warriors.
That's not something that comes natural to you guys.
You are more of a loving,
Careful,
Nurturing,
And you always try to find a different way to solve problems.
Like being a warrior is not something that you want to do right away.
So that's why the archetype is a little bit different here.
The maiden.
This is another archetype for woman,
Maiden.
This is your innocence.
Okay.
This is your naive side.
This is like a princess who wants a man,
A family,
A happiness.
So this is kind of an archetype that many women have that men normally don't.
Again,
This is something,
Some of the main archetypes that I have found out there.
Okay.
That again,
You may resonate with them.
You may not.
You may be aware of them or you may not.
But by reading them,
Hopefully you will start thinking about them and noticing them.
Okay.
Another archetype for woman is wisdom.
Wisdom woman.
That's another archetype that you can notice in your life.
And the last one I have is mother.
That I will say fathers.
Men can also be a father.
That can be an archetype.
And again,
These are the main archetypes and you can recognize something different in your own life.
But the mother archetype is,
Yeah,
Women are born to be mothers and notice how there is no father or male archetype.
You are natural mothers.
You give,
You create life.
Yeah.
And sometimes that this becomes like a codependent.
And so there are different traits depending on your situation too,
That you may notice.
Like if you are an actual parent in this world right now,
You may recognize these archetypes being present in your life,
Being a father,
Being a mother.
That's a huge archetype that you have if you are actually a father or a mother.
Okay.
If you are a parent,
If you are not,
Maybe it's not as familiar to you because you have not experienced that yet.
But if you were to become one,
You will notice that energy embracing you right away.
And guys,
When you become,
I remember when I had Eva,
One day I wasn't at that and the next day I was at that.
And I started to feel things that I never felt before.
And my life as a single,
As a,
Yeah,
As a single person with Samantha with no family was over.
And then I became someone completely different and my life completely changed.
And I started to notice emotions,
Stuff coming up for me that I never experienced before.
So that was the father archetype for me.
Right.
So let me read some of the comments that you guys have.
Yeah.
So I see.
Yeah.
Same for the moms.
I think depends how we are raised.
Yeah,
Guys,
All these archetypes are just,
Again,
They are generalizations of universal traits that you may find in pretty much every individual.
Of course,
They will change from person to person.
Of course,
Your conditioning,
What you learn when you were little,
How you were raised,
All the beliefs,
All the family dynamics that you were exposed to society around you,
All of that,
Like,
Carve your personality,
Created the person that you are now.
OK,
Depending on the country you live in,
Depending on the society you live in,
Depending on how you saw your parents,
If you had parents,
How you saw them express love to each other,
How you saw them embody these different kinds of energies,
You will be a completely different person.
So that's why these are just general traits that I want you to become aware of.
Some of them you will relate to.
Some of them you will notice like,
Wow,
That sounds really amazing.
I never had that in my life.
And I want that.
This is your opportunity to explore that archetype.
This is your opportunity to start discovering how can I bring more of this energy into my life?
What can I do physically,
Mentally,
Spiritually?
What practices to embrace this energy more?
OK.
And this is what I really want you to get out of this session.
OK,
So let me see in a way,
Archetypes have changed is all I mean,
You say somewhat cultural dependent.
Yeah,
Absolutely.
And again,
Guys,
Every time every time we put a label into something,
We are limiting that thing because it's not real anymore,
Because it's not going to be the reality for everybody.
We just have to come up with a generalization.
We just have to come up with,
I notice this kind of energy in the majority of the people around the world.
I notice that they step into this warrior energy.
They have access to it.
So I'm going to call it warrior.
And these are the traits.
And any time you create a label and you define that thing,
Then it becomes not whole anymore,
Because sometimes you cannot express with words or describe what energy is.
Energy is something so complex and it's just something that you feel.
You cannot use words to define accurately everything.
But you can.
This is the best it can get.
Right.
And it's ever changing.
It's going to be different for each of you.
And you're going to experience these energies,
Embody them in a completely different way.
And that's beautiful.
That's perfect.
And that is the way it's supposed to be,
Because every one's situations are unique and different.
And you need to start learning how to read the moment,
How to read what others need from you,
How to read what you need from yourself and allow yourself time to practice these things.
Allow yourself time to reflect.
Maybe some meditation,
Maybe some walk in the woods.
Maybe it's doing an activity that brings you to a place of reflection.
Maybe it's wood carving.
Maybe it's whatever it is for you.
It doesn't matter.
That's why I always invite you to create your own self-care list and allow yourself time to think about what can I do to bring more of this into my life?
And now you have the opportunity to create that self-care list with intention.
If you want to bring more loving energy into your life and you want to embody the lover,
The archetype,
That's what you can do.
How can I embody this more?
What practices can I do?
Who can I look up to?
And this is something fun,
Guys.
If you go online and you type famous people that embody the lover or the magician or the you will start recognizing people that you relate to,
People that you were looking up to,
People that you are inspired by.
And then you start recognizing,
Wow,
Like this actor is he represents the lover.
Oh,
This person represents the warrior in this movie.
This person in this TV show represents the magician.
OK.
And then you start noticing how that personality trait,
That energy flows through that character.
And maybe that helps you connect with that more.

I stress myself a little bit here with this session because I don't I'm not an expert about this by any means.
I'm just a regular guy who learned about this two years ago and who I am getting a lot of value from being aware of this in my life.
I am getting a lot of value from keep researching these archetypes as I need to,
As I feel inspired by.
And that's why I feel that you should do the same.
You can do the same if you want.
Now that you are aware of them,
You can say,
Wow,
I noticed that my life is lacking more magician energy,
More playfulness or more worried.
I need to be more confident.
I need to stop procrastinating.
I need to become clear about my mission in life.
That's your warrior energy.

So I want you to start noticing that and you start embodying these energies with more intention.
OK.
And it's OK if you don't understand them completely.
It's OK.
If you are still grasping the concept,
You are just getting started or maybe you are you have been aware of this for years and you are already embodying them.
So maybe you can do that with more intention.

It's very dense,
Very deep.
Again,

I have to read it in sections because it's very it's very deep.

So let me read it for you.
The magician.
They meant a grateful.
So let me see if I can find it here.
I don't think I have it here,
But basically the the magician,
The magician energy was to be playful,
To add new ideas into the world,
To be able to program,
Solve,
To be able to find strategies to move forward with ease,
OK,
To be inventive,
To to be reflective,
To be knowledgeable.
That's the positive trait.
So the shadow,
Some of the shadows of the magician will be to don't be creative,
OK,
To don't be inventive,
Don't think about anything,
To don't be flexible enough to approach a problem from different angles and be curious about what other people think of that problem.
The shadow will be to stop playing and not be playful,
Think that playfulness is a waste of time and it doesn't help.
Don't reflect,
Don't allow time for reflection and always just be very quick at responding without reflecting,
Without without knowledge.
Stop learning new things.
Stop reading,
Stop learning new concepts and just become rigid.
Stop being flexible.
So those will be some of the shadows for the magician.

And again,
You can go online or you can read books about specific shadows for the magician.
And let me tell you,
There is a lot of stuff in there that you can unpack.

And any positive traits that you that I share about an archetype,
The shadow will be the opposite.

Bringing light into your day to day and notice how you embrace these different kinds of archetypes,
Different kinds of energies.
And an invitation for you to start doing any shadow work that you feel called to.
Any time you are trying to change something in your life,
A habit,
A routine,
A behavior,
A dynamic.
Improving communication with your loved ones,
Voicing your needs,
Whatever you are trying to change in your life,
You are going to face resistance.
And then the shadow work is for you to tap into your warrior energy and be willing to step into that darkness,
Be willing to uncover those unconscious behaviors that you may have that are on the way for you to do the thing that you want to do to become the person that you want to become.
So that's the inspiration that I hope you get from this session.
