Hello and welcome to the Inner Child Meditation practice.

I'll give you a moment to get into a comfortable position,

And when you feel ready I'd like to invite you to tune into your breath.

Let your eyes get heavier.

Unclench your jaw,

Relaxing the mouth.

Allow your shoulders to drop.

Relax your arms and hands.

Soften any other areas in the body that may be carrying tension.

Feel your body get heavier as you melt into the space beneath you,

Allowing yourself to feel supported.

Feel your body here,

Warm,

Relaxed,

Soft.

I'd like you to take a moment to picture your inner child.

Allow whatever image comes to mind to manifest.

Maybe it's you very young.

Maybe it's you as a teenager.

Just take a minute and think about where your inner child is in this moment.

Picture the room they're in,

What they might be wearing,

What their emotional state might be.

Just take a few seconds to observe.

Notice their position,

Their attitude,

Their expressions.

Take it all in,

This vision of your inner child.

And now I'd like you to picture yourself walking up towards your inner child.

Ask your inner child if you may sit next to them,

And once they allow,

Take some time to just spend a moment with your inner child.

Think about what your inner child may need in this moment.

It could be a friend,

It could be a hug.

Maybe it's someone to just sit there and listen.

Spend some time seeing if you can offer what your inner child needs to them.

And I'd like you to take a moment now,

If you have not done this already,

To sit facing them.

And if it is alright,

Ask if you can hold their hands in yours.

Look at your inner child in the eyes and tell them you love them,

You honor them,

You hear them,

And they have always been enough.

If that feels complete,

Ask your child if they are ready to come home with you today.

If your child is not ready to come home with you,

Tell them you will return.

Thank them for their time and let them know that you will continue to honor them and work toward being together one day.

And if your child has chosen to come with you today,

Give them a moment to say goodbye to their surroundings.

Allow them to collect anything they may need for their journey and invite them home.

This can look however you want.

It could be holding hands,

It could be a heart-to-heart connection,

A full integration of the self,

Whatever is most comfortable for both of you in this moment.

Allow this integration to occur,

Bringing you both into wholeness,

Balance,

And harmony.

And when this integration process feels complete,

Spend a moment in your heart center in gratitude,

In deep appreciation for your inner child,

For the experiences that made you who you are today.

Let this appreciation move through your entire body,

Allowing gratitude to fill every part of your being.

And when you're ready,

Take a few deep breaths,

Connecting you to your body,

Feeling your body supported by the earth beneath you,

Bringing your awareness back to the room around you.
