After this,
I'll add some music to go along with it.
By the way,
If any of you would like to put on some music for yourself in the background to help with your practice,
Feel free to do so.
I'm not going to play any because I thought it would be more beneficial to let you choose what you'd like to have in the background as far as music goes,
If any.
And so,
Yeah,
What times we're living in right now,
It's absolutely a new challenge,
A new frontier for us.
And as we go forward,
I wanted to help with filling up our own cup.
And that is the topic for today is to fill up our cup because we can feel like these new limitations that we have with this pandemic are in some way holding us back or we are being in some way drained from our normal place of coming into this world.
And I've noticed that with myself and my own experience of being here,
It's finding new ways to move.
It's finding new ways to look at things.
It's finding new ways to cope with the new predicament,
The new reality that we have to deal with.
And I want everyone to be able to be here and enjoy each day,
Each and every day.
And one way that I feel like we can just renew our passion with life is to take some time to fill up our own cup.
We may be being asked to do a lot more with our community,
Our family,
And with ourselves.
And I feel this is a really good time to be able to focus on ourselves and maybe find some areas of our being that we can improve upon and help to uplift others.
So yeah,
It would be really great to start this off with just a greeting of salutations to everyone.
I hope everyone's doing well.
I'm so thankful that everyone's here joining me for this.
This is my first live guided meditation on Instagram.
I think I've already said that a couple of times,
But I'm pretty excited about that.
And I hope I'm doing this right.
I hope everything is working.
I'm also recording this session to be able to be posted later on Inside Timer.
So anyone can revisit this meditation if they so wish to do so.
So namaste,
Pranam to everybody.
What I'd like to start with is just finding a comfortable position for this meditation.
We may feel like there's some aches and pains in our body.
That's okay.
Try to relax even more and try to relax through those aches and pains if there are any.
And feel free to lie down or stay seated for this practice.
If you've just woken up,
You're more than welcome to stay in the comfort of your bed.
Or if you've already risen for the day for this practice,
That's fine.
When you're ready,
Gently close your eyes and mouth.
Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone.
Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety.
Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in desperation.
Your glance can awaken joy.
Your words can inspire freedom.
Your every act can open hearts and minds.
This quote by David DeEtta reminds me of our impact that we have,
Whether we're conscious of it or not,
As we go through our day.
Each and every thought and action has a consequence.
And just by settling ourselves into the present moment,
We can begin to find our place in each moment.
And if it's a bit overwhelming,
Let's say there's some anxiety present or just a feeling of being overwhelmed,
We can strip it back and we can simply be still.
We can just be here.
And without doing anything to anyone or anything,
We are just sitting with ourselves,
Getting to know ourselves internally and allowing the moment to just seep in to our being while we become quiet,
While we become still.
And so now I'd like you to draw the focus of your attention to the breath,
Allowing your awareness to ride the shifting tides of the natural full breath.
And when we breathe in,
Feel the cool air come into our nostrils,
Down into our body,
Down further into our abdomen.
And then we release,
We release this air to the world.
And the world uses it in turn as nutrients to build new life.
So we are in fact connected to everything.
And we depend on everything else to play its part in our existence.
So just get in touch with the breath at this moment.
Letting the body rise upon inhalation and dropping upon exhalation.
As we gently expand and become full of air,
Continue following the breath all the way in and all the way out.
Love is unconditional.
Love is free.
It is the quality in which we experience life when we surrender ourselves and simply be.
Love is beautiful.
Love is birth.
It is the emotion that illuminates possibilities in us just as the sun spreads light on earth.
Love is everywhere.
Love is within us.
It is available to anyone who can lose themselves completely in something else.
Love is union.
Love is separation.
It is our aloneness blossoming from the touch of creation.
Love is crazy.
Love is not going to bed with you.
It is exploring oneself and the world knowing there is only one now.
Love is here.
Love is always.
It is you,
Me,
Them,
And all things if you can be it,
Sweetly in it and without.
We are immersed in love like the sand can be immersed in water.
The sand is heavy,
Worn down,
Processed by nature,
And beautiful just by nature.
Cycling through many different states of being,
We are affected by the surroundings.
The wave comes in and we are soaked with it.
They recede and we start to dry.
Sometimes we completely dry out and another life comes in.
Who are you when the tides are high and you are connected to love?
When love is saturating your entire being,
What kind of a person do you become?
You are continuing to stay connected to the breath,
Riding the breath like a surfer rides the waves.
And if you fall off the surfboard,
Get back on and get out to the tides and find that wave again.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Who are you when the tides are high and our being is soaked in love?
What kind of a person do you become?
What kind of space do you create with this energy?
On the other side of the coin,
Who are you when the ocean recedes and you do not feel love?
There is a break in that flow.
There is a place when we vaguely lose touch with love or maybe it's a sharp moment of anger or frustration.
Then who do we become?
What kind of a human being are we when that connection to love,
To source,
To God,
Whatever it may be for you,
Whatever that source is for love,
Who do you become then?
It's okay to be completely honest with this.
We're connected to ourselves.
We're riding the breath like a tide and we're just reflecting on how we change when we're disconnected from love.
In these moments,
These moments of our waking life,
Where do we find ourselves?
Allow the honesty,
The sense of responsibility that you can sense right now.
Just allow it to fill you up.
Allow it to be a part of this experience right now.
Taking the next few moments to feel pure awareness flowing through us.
Being easily calming our senses,
Relaxing into a space where there is just now the awareness of simply being,
Clearing and settling.
We are all able to radiate love from within.
We are love.
We are love.
We are love.
We are love.
Each moment is a time when love is present and can be seen all around us if we know how to look.
It took love to be here.
It took love to be here.
It took love to be here.
It took love to be here.
The love within gets interpreted as the fragrance of our lives blossoming.
Let love spring forth.
Let love spring forth level of spring forth.
Let love spring forth.
Love yourself and the universe.
Love yourself in the universe.
Love everything you know about yourself,
Except everything you don't know about anything.
Love it all,
Love the whole thing.
Existence is sweeter with love.
Existence is sweeter with love.
Existence is sweeter with love.
Existence is sweeter with love.
Now place your awareness on the heart,
Your heart,
And listen to it.
There's nothing that needs to be done.
I want to remind you,
This isn't something you have to do.
You're just listening for what's there.
You're opening up the channel of communication between your heart,
This organ that has so much power and capabilities within your being.
It can do so many things when we tap into the heart,
And we definitely want to keep that line of communication open with it.
So that we can hear what is being said.
So we can be there for this energetic center of our bodies,
Where our emotions can be felt most prominently at times.
And we're just listening to what we might have missed,
What we may have not seen.
Listening to every single heartbeat.
Getting in touch with the rhythmic pulse of the heart.
You can feel it.
I'm just going to allow you some time to get in touch with that,
And open up that line of communication now.
Lingering as best you can with the rhythmic beating of your own heart.
Cradling in your own heart these feelings of love and acceptance,
And kindness for yourself beyond judgment of any kind.
Just basking in it.
Just feeling enveloped in the heart's ability to channel such emotion that you can overcome.
You can transform.
You can do the harder thing and still keep your dignity,
Your honor,
Your word,
Your intention,
Your own complete acceptance of yourself as you are right here in this very moment.
Allowing this emotion to be self-sustaining.
Allowing it to just be safe in your hand.
And resting here in this field of loving kindness,
Repeat to yourself inwardly the following phrases.
Or hear them being sung to by the birds,
Or by the ocean,
By the distant humming of machinery,
By the cosmos,
Or even spoken out loud with strong emotion.
Here we go.
May I be safe and protected and free from harm.
May I be happy and inspired.
May I be healthy and whole to whatever degree possible.
May I experience ease of well-being.
Filling our cup with these phrases,
Feeling it rise,
The energy rise,
Feeling ourselves becoming more aware and connected with ourselves.
And again,
May I be safe and protected and free from harm.
May I be happy and inspired.
May I be healthy and whole to whatever degree possible.
May I experience ease of well-being.
If you're feeling any aches and pains in your body,
Allow yourself to shift a little bit now.
Allow yourself to be even just 10% more comfortable and at ease.
Maybe making slight adjustments with your body or posture.
And on this last time,
I want you to feel the emotion rise.
I want you to feel these words charging the love that you have inside of you.
And I want you to feel this heart pulsing with these words.
One more time now.
May I be safe and protected and free from harm.
May I be happy and inspired.
May I be healthy and whole to whatever degree possible.
May I experience ease of well-being.
Rise and fall of the breath that continues.
As we sink deeper and deeper into this source of love within us.
Dive deeper into the meditation with the intention of total acceptance.
Total awareness.
Absolute involvement with now.
Continuing to ride the tides of the natural full breath.
Again,
If you fall off,
Don't beat yourself up.
It's okay.
You can just get yourself back up on the surfboard.
Take yourself out to the waves and jump another one.
And may this next one be perhaps a little bit longer.
Perhaps with a bit more ease.
And you can return the hand to your normal position.
If you wish to let go of your heart now that you've charged it with these emotions.
The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone.
But the things you do for others remain as your legacy.
The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone.
But the things you do for others remain as your legacy.
These words by Kalu,
Nidukwe,
Kalu,
Remind me that every day I can either be serving myself.
And I should serve myself.
I am the one carrying myself through this life.
So I need to take care of myself.
Learn new ways to be here with myself.
Just like this.
Without doing anything.
Just sitting in stillness.
And without negatively impacting anything.
And while this is very much a part of maintaining this life.
We also can open up our world.
This love.
This power that we fill within us.
For others.
We can be a leverage in this world to do good.
To spread this love.
To remain connected in the face of opposition.
And this,
This is the real legacy that you're leaving behind.
When we affect something else.
And it's changed.
It's in some way altered by our being.
By our attempt to be free.
To be present.
To be harnessing this power to be a human being.
These capabilities.
This is our legacy.
How we affect others.
What footprint we leave behind on this planet.
This is our legacy.
And we continue to breathe in and out.
Allowing ourselves.
The natural pace of our breath.
To fill our being.
To allow our body to gently rise.
Massaging our bones,
Tissue,
Muscle.
And then releasing back into the world.
The nutrients for the trees.
The air that we all share.
Gently take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And a deep breath out.
And in your own time.
Feel free to open your eyes once again,
Slowly.
As you go forward.
This is the start of your day.
The middle of your day.
Or the ending of your day.
See if you can take this quality of emotion.
This love.
This loving awareness.
Loving kindness.
With you into your day.
Or into your sleep.
And overall.
Permeating your life.
Little bit by little bit.
May your presence be your blessing to yourself.
And to all.
And thank you for sharing this meditation practice with me.
Namaste.
Thank you for everyone for joining me.
This is beautiful for me getting to experience this side of meditation.
And connecting with people online.
I know some of you have been supporting me for years.
And some of you may have just run into me.
But I am grateful.
Eternally grateful for the support and the love.
And also to Insight Timer for providing me this platform to release recordings on.
It is a beautiful,
Beautiful experience for me to share this.
And it's very exciting for me to be here with you in this way.
This is so different.
So thank you so much.
