Sometimes we can find ourselves out of balance and need a way to help us gain control. The breath affects our entire experience of what it is to be alive so if we gain control of our breath, we can regulate ourselves without external help. Join Elliott as he guides you on a short meditation to bring you back to a calm and balanced state through conscious breathing. Use this in an emergency or whenever you need to ground yourself in the present moment.

Welcome,

And thank you for joining me in this quick reminder to breathe consciously.

Let's begin by drawing the focus of your attention to the breath.

Allow your awareness to ride the shifting tides of the natural and full breath.

Follow the breath all the way from the entrance of the nostrils down to the belly and then filling out the lungs and chest.

Fill the entire body,

Gently expand and become full of air.

Follow the breath all the way in and then all the way out.

The way you breathe can impact your whole body,

Regulating important functions such as blood pressure and heart rate.

Practicing breath work can have multiple health benefits including mental clarity and focus.

Continue breathing consciously in and out.

By consciously breathing in a particular way,

The very way you think,

Feel,

Understand,

And experience life can be changed.

When we stop to take a moment and recenter ourselves,

We are altering the very chemistry of our bodies,

Which we can use to transform into any way we so please.
