Settle into a cross-legged posture with your hands open,
Facing upward.
Bring a straight back with its natural curves.
With your face slightly upturned,
Allow your focus to rest between the eyebrows.
Then gently close the eyes and mouth.
Check in with the body.
Observe any sensations.
Check in with the mind.
Each thought is a cloud floating away.
Check in with your emotions.
Simply notice any impulsive reactions.
The breath is relaxed and natural.
Your breath is a reflection of how you live your life.
Draw the focus of your attention to the breath now.
Allow your awareness to ride the shifting Tides of the natural and full breath.
Follow the breath all the way from the entrance of the nostrils down to the belly,
And then filling out the lungs and chest.
Feel the entire body gently expand and become full of air.
Follow the breath all the way in and all the way out.
You are a limitless being.
You are not defined by the past or future.
You are this moment,
This consciousness,
This field of awareness.
You are this breath,
Gently expanding and contracting the body you're in,
And joyfully being released out into the world.
Be where you are.
Hold space for what is.
Be willing to become whatever this life speaks to you in this silence.
Follow the breath all the way in and all the way out.
You are the breath coming in and going out.
You are the inhalation and the exhalation.
You are the expansion and the contraction.
You are the process of life.
You are the trees,
The birds,
The wind,
The grass,
The animals,
The earth,
The colors,
The cosmos.
Nothing can hold you back from being exactly what you are or wish to be but your own perception of yourself.
Every adversity,
Every failure,
Every heartache carries with it the seed of a greater or equal benefit.
That is a quote by Napoleon Hill.
I will read it one more time,
And this time,
Feel the truth of these words in your bones.
Every adversity,
Every failure,
Every heartache carries with it the seed of a greater or equal benefit.
Follow the breath all the way in and all the way out.
The breath comes in and the breath goes out.
The breath comes in and the breath goes out.
The breath comes in and the breath goes out.
The breath comes in and the breath goes out.
The breath comes in and the breath goes out.
The breath comes in and the breath goes out.
The breath comes in and the breath goes out.
In bringing this meditation to a close,
Come back to a full awareness of the body.
Recognizing that awareness contains everything we are,
Gently take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and breathe out.
Please take your own time in slowly opening the eyes once again and see if you can take this quality of awareness with you into your day,
Into your life.
May your presence be your blessing to yourself and to all.
Thank you for sharing your meditation practice with me.
Namaste.
