Welcome and thank you for sharing this space with me.
I am honored to be given the time to be a part of your inner journey.
I am in gratitude for you allowing me to guide you in your practice.
This meditation is designed to sharpen your presence through shifting perspective and as a result adding meaning to your moment to moment experience.
When we treat each moment of every day as equally deserving of our full engagement,
Then every moment has meaning and we're burning freely with passion for life.
Settle into a cross-legged posture with your hands open facing upward.
Maintain a straight back with its natural curves and with your face slightly upturned,
Allow your focus to rest between the eyebrows and then gently close the eyes and mouth.
Check in with the body observing any sensations.
Check in with the mind.
Allow each thought to be a cloud floating away.
Check in with your emotions.
Notice any impulsive reactions,
Anything bubbling up to the surface.
Simply notice them.
The breath is relaxed and natural and you're just noticing how it feels to be seated here in the present moment doing nothing.
Just sitting.
Draw the focus of your attention to the breath.
Allow your awareness to ride the shifting tides of the natural and full breath.
Feel the breath all the way from the entrance of your nostrils down to the belly and then filling out the lungs and chest.
Simply feel the entire body gently expand and become full of air.
Ride the breath all the way in and ride the breath all the way out.
Ride the breath all the way in and ride the breath all the way out.
Ride the breath all the way in.
Every moment of every day can be a revelation in so many ways.
Each moment holds importance because there is equal potential in all of them.
Some moments you can be half asleep and drifting away,
Barely hanging on,
And then the next moment you're snapped into focus and experiencing life so vividly and intensely.
For the next few moments,
Get in touch with your presence and state of aliveness.
As you follow your breath in and out,
Allow your awareness to include your body and any sensations that come up during the practice.
During our awake time,
We can aim to not miss anything that's happening around us or within us.
We can hold the same amount of engagement with life during moments of stillness as we do during moments of movement.
My level of involvement becomes my anchor to being fully engaged in this body.
My level of involvement becomes my anchor to being fully engaged in this body.
My level of involvement becomes my anchor to being fully engaged in this body.
Do you feel the same quality of presence during the inhalation as you do during the exhalation?
For the next few moments,
Attempt to be absolutely engaged with each and every moment,
From the very beginning of the inhalation to the very end of the exhalation.
Distractions may arise.
That's okay.
Welcome them.
They are your teachers.
Dissolve them with your laser presence.
This is the practice.
Can you maintain a steady level of engagement during the distractive moments?
And how about the clear ones?
Or is it constantly fluctuating?
Either way,
It's okay.
You can welcome them and accept them as part of your journey.
The more that we become fully engaged with each moment,
The more that everything starts to feel unscripted and totally up to us for how we want to experience things.
This can lead to blissing out and being less entangled with ourselves.
Finally take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and breathe out.
Our lives are next to each other.
All right.
Thank you.
